i have bought my Samsung Galaxy S3, and its 4.1.2 JB installed...
so i want to know about firmware that which country firmware is it..
Here is information
Model No: GT-I9300 (Amber Brown)
AP: I9300XXEMA2
CP: I9300XXELLA
CSC: I9300JVEMA1
can anyone help me ?

Can anybody help me to identify which firware is this and where is this from?? I brought it from Dubai but in order to root it, i cant find this firmware in any of the XDA forums.

CSC: I9300EURALE3
You don't need to know what firmware it is to root it. Just follow the stickies in the development section by flashing recovery with odin, then a rooted rom.
Also make sure your phone model number is GT-I9300. If it's not, you don't have the international version.
You can use Chainfire's CF-root, regardless of the firmware version,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the model number is GT-i9300. But how can i identify for which country it has been made to?

Connect to the Keis, then check your firmware version,
see the code given after the CSC in the bracket is your region,
eg: PDA:LE9 / PHONE:LE8 / CSC:LE9 (XSG)
XSG is the code for UAE,
I think you have purchased the phone from an unautharized dealer, normally the phones (SGS3) shipped in the Middle East are with the above mentioned version as my phone has got.

Thanks for your help. Yes, the phone is not from an authorized dealer. Kies says the firmware as:

Hi all wondering if anyone can help, by telling me wich version of 4.1.2 I can use to reflash my phone.
I am currently running 4.1.1 on an unbranded S3 that I bought from Amazon.
Details are as follows:
AP: I9300XXDLJ4
CP: I9300XXDLID
CSC: Unknown
Would I use the BTU version that is available on Sammobile?
I know how to flash using Odin, but am unsure as to which file I need with my phone being Unbranded. I prefer using Odin so I can factory reset first and start clean with an update.

Yes use the 4.1.2 BTU version from sammobile.

First, visit the SamMobile firmware page and look for the stock ICS ROM for your phone. Since it is country specific, make sure you select your own country. Then download the file and flash the TAR file via ODIN.

I've discoverd that my S3 has an CSC: CYO (Cyprus), but I live in Belgium so I should have PHB (it's the unbranded one). Is there any way to get this one without installing a custom rom?
I rooted my S3 and tried the app Samsung Galaxy S / S2 / S3. This works fine but there is no PHB for my country.

Just go to Options > Scroll Down till the End > About Phone . That's it .
Edit: Menu Button @ Home Screen first.
