Stuck NOkiA screen - Nokia Lumia 920

Hello All,
I have a Nokia Lumia 920. My friend gave it to me and i was planning on using it. I figured a factory reset would wipe all his info so i can use it again. I did the factory wipe and i was stuck on 2 spinning cogs and it was going on for 1 hour so i soft reset it and it dosen't load anymore. It just loads to the NOKA LOGO.
This phone carrier is under Telstra in Australia. I am not sure if i am suppose to use a different firmware to flash or if i can use something in the North America.
I have download NOkia suite and NAvifirm+. Unfortunately nokia blocked the firmware to downlaods so i am not sure to do next.
The phone shows up on my computer as NOKIA boot mgr and i don't have the driver for it.
Any help will be fantastic.
:laugh::good:

use NCS for download firmware....

Restart the Phone by holding the Lower volume and power button. When the Nokia logo appears hit Up Volume, Down Volume, Power, Down Volume in that order. The phone should restart and go back to gears. Give it a few minutes to finish up and you should be good to go.

cannot reboot my X10a

I am trying to hard-reset my phone. I am stuck at a black screen with a magenta LED after seeing the SE logo.
I have held the power button while holding the L/R buttons (I tried to use the s/w method but it froze.)
Now the phone does nothing but sit there like a fingerprint magnet.
What is the correct keypress combination to return this phone to factory?
It has not been flashed to 2.1 but has been rooted and had app2SD installed (the source of my issues...but that is for another day)
L/R then power? (when do I let go of each button??)
Vol down then power?
Camera then Power?
Finger up my butt then power?
Help!!
Take the battery out for 10 seconds then try again.
no difference...
Try a reflash.
17th time the charm
SEUS did the trick
went into flash mode and it's updating the phone
Tks
spoke too soon
guess I have to reflash.
I'd like to reflash to factory fresh.
Is that built into the ROM via keycommands or via ADB shell access?

[Q] A boot for root puzzle...

Hi.. please know that a) I am a complete beginner at all things 'Forums' and programming mobile 'phones and b) hand on heart I have searched everywhere as your video states and 5 hours later I am still stuck... sooooo:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 XWKI8 which I got through 3. I am trying to root my phone BUT in order to start I need to re-boot in download mode - problem... my phone will not respond to the three button press action and just happily starts up as normal. Any ideas? I did, just once earlier to day get a screen with yellow and green writing but no yellow triangle. I went to reload but my eventual odin message said succeed 0/failed 0 and my phone didn't re-boot either. My main problem is that I just can't get my phone to re-boot. Can you help?
Try the three button combo again, but hold volume down and power at the same time then press the menu button, as soon as you see the Samsung splash screen, let go of all three. Works for me. If not then you could always buy a USB Jig from ebay.
Hope this helps.
Edit: To get a reboot, try removing the battery, then power up as normal.
Thank you so much for responding. I'll give it a go and let you know - THANK YOU
No... sadly it's not working - weird. I seem to get the Samsung Galaxy version screen come up twice and then the '3' logo and then a rainbow 'S' - it all takes a bit of a while! Would paying for an unlock service be a better idea?? OR... what is a JIG and what does one do with it...!
Strange...you should be able to get into download mode?
Does your phone boot up so that you can use the phone or are you stuck at the bootscreen (rainbow S).
You should not need to pay to get your phone unlocked there are plenty of resources and help on here to unlock it.
The USB jig boots your phone into download mode and resets the ROM flash counter so that if you have to return your phone to Sammy, they won't know you have flashed a custom ROM.
Try searching for other threads regarding 'not being able to get into download mode', you may find someone else has had the same problem.

Hi,
No gurantees, but try a hard reset;
With the 800 off press VOLUME DOWN-POWER-CAMERA all together
Wait for vibrate
Release POWER
Wait 10 seconds
Release all buttons
Lumia should vibrate
Power on
Hope it helps you get the phone backup..

If Hard Reset Method doesn't help you:
Actually, your Nokia Lumia has it's BOOTLOADER damaged.
The only thing that will work is RIFF JTAG.
You can solve this by going to Nokia Care / GSM Service.

Nokia Lumia 800 stuck on start screen, common fault?

So I've had this Nokia Lumia 800 gathering dust in a box because I could never figure out how to restore it.
I'm guessing it's corrupt firmware or something but I know it's a common fault on this phone.
It's just stuck on start screen with the NOKIA logo.
It does sometimes bring up the no battery symbol, just a battery with one red bar in the middle of the screen and then windows trys to install drivers for it, so I guess it's recognized to some extent (fails to install drivers)
Does anybody have any ideas on bringing it back to life?
The phone was never rooted or modded

You can try these (2) methods...
Method 1) Note If your phone is currently stuck on the manufacturer's logo, Disconnect your phone from the USB cable.
Hold the volume - and power buttons to turn it off. After your screen goes black, quickly hold only the camera button AND connect the USB cable to your phone and computer...before the phone vibrates and starts back up to the logo.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Continue holding down the camera button until you see the connect-to-computer screen.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Release the camera button.
Leave the phone restart alone, then wait about 4/5 minutes .
==========================================================
Method 2) What u need:
Google this and download : Nokia Care Suite
Next step:
1. Open Program files (x86) -> Nokia -> Nokia Care Suite -> Application louncher -> bin -> ApplicationLauncher.exe
2. Choose PRODUCT SUPPORT TOOL FOR STORE
3. Take a Nokia Lumia 800. Turn it OFF. HOLD VOLUME+ BUTTON and Connect to pc with usb cable. Release when it vibrates.
4. In PRODUCT SUPPORT TOOL FOR STORE press PROGRAMMING-> RECOVERY.
5. Next step Press: FILE -> Open product.
6. Choose the RM-801 product. Press open. Wait until it loads. Dont take care if shows in corner some errors.
7. Press START.
Wait for the Phone to flash and restart. [After flashing connect your Nokia Lumia 800 to charger and wait first it shows: Battery with red indicator, then NOKIA logo, after 2-5 minutes phone will boot up 100 %].
...Thats it

920 Windows 10 revert brick!

Hi - I've been running win10 preview on the 920 for a while now. Decided to go back to Win8.1. Loaded up the Windows Phone Recovery tool, and the phone was picked up OK. I selected to restore phone, it downloaded the 1.5gb FFU and started the restore. Pretty early in the process the Recovery Tool came up saying it lost connection with the phone, and to disconnect and try again. At the time, the phone has a reddish background with NOKIA and a progress bar on it with no progress made. I powered off the phone and wanted to try again. At this stage, the phone would not turn on.
I have tried the following:
- reset by holding down vol down/power
reset by holding down vol up/down/power/camera
restoring phone through Windows Phone recovery tool - however it tells me the phone is not connected.
restoring the image that got downloaded for rm-821 through the Nokia Care suite - again it says that the phone is not connected.
restoring the phone with nokia suite - however this says the phone is not supported.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I can try to get the phone going? Holding down vol down/power for 2min+ does not vibrate the phone like it used to. Windows's USB storage indicator on taskbar however shows up when I connect the phone, and when I hold down vol down/power it does seem to turn off/ and on again after about 15 seconds. But that's the only sign of life I'm getting - nothing on screen, no lights, no vibrations.
Ideas?
Cheers!
