Galaxy stuck on LOGO flashing, help!! - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, my sisters S3 on Vodafone is stuck on the logo at boot, it flashes every few seconds.
It has never been modified or flashed in anyway!
Prior to this happening, it used to freeze randomnly while in use and now this, how can I fix this, also how can I recover the data if I need to factory reset it?
Can I access the internal storage to backup everything?

You can't access internal storage, no.
Boot into download mode (vol down + home + power) after a battery pull. Please post what it says on the screen.

[Q] Retrieving Pictures from Broken S2

The S2 I have suddenly broke. Broke as in... when I turn it on, it stucks on the S logo again and again.
I don't mind reformating and bring it to the shop but I want to retrieve the data.
Few things about the phone:
1. The phone is never unlocked, rooted or installed with custom rom. It's still original condition.
2. I have tried to plug in the phone when it's showing the S logo. Windows can see the phone as media player, but when i click the drive, it's all empty.
3. Tried to enter recover mode, it asked about "downloading rom" and nothing.
Any suggestions? Just need to retrieve the pictures

That sounds like you went into download mode, not recovery mode.
Download mode is Vol Down + Home + Power.
Recovery mode is Vol Up + Home + Power.

Try going into recovery menu, and do a factory reset. If that doesn't help, flash a new ROM.
Actually I meant to say, I went to download mode and stuck in "downloading".
While, when I was in recovery mode, I see "E:failed to mount /sdcard" when i tried to apply update from external storage
Won't factory reset wipe all the data and pictures?
Thankfully, the problem is actually solved by following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458
Apparently, the phone was in soft-brick condition. I don't need to flash the .PIT to recover it.

[Q] My device won't start up - Samsung Galaxy Note GT N7000

I have got a Samsung Galaxy Note GT N7000. My friend has actually made an update (claims to), and now my phone won't boot! I get the first Screen as
"Samsung Galaxy Note GT N7000" after which the Samsung logo splash should follow, but simply doesn't. All I get is a black screen. With the Volume Down + Power + home I get the "Downloading Do Not Turn Target off" and it just stays that way, I don't really think it is actually downloading anything. With Volume Up + Power + Home I get "Manual Mode" of some recovery mode. Wherein I have
Reboot
Update from External SD
Update from Cache
Wipe External SD
Wipe Cache
Reboot just simply does the same, I get a black screen after Samsung Galaxy screen. What could be wrong with my phone? I have no idea, help please.
Edit:
I have Odin downloaded, and in the Download Mode, I get that COM:ID port added, but I have no clue where to proceed from there on.

Galaxy S2 urgent problem

First off all sory on my bad English.
Few hours ago I did factory reset on mentioned phone. I choose to format external memory ( in phone ) and phone switched off. When turned on it showed some text in German ( phone from austrian network ) and samsung logo appeared. Since that colors run trought logo and nothing happening. Phone is rooted with syiah kernel, on stock rom. What to do???
huh I don't understand the problem.
do you want to change the language or a bug in de logo.
if the language its simple just in settings
if its something glitchy (screen, boot or the logo)
try to go back to stock with stock kernel.
can you take a picture? :highfive:
Phone wont boot up. Just logo changing colors.
How long have you left it running? If you do a complete factory reset, the phone has to rebuild the dalvik cache, which, as there is loads of crap on stock ROMs, can take quite a while. Leave it running on the boot screen for 5 minutes or so, and see what happens.

I left it for 2 hours
Normally when doing a factory reset your phone should boot into recovery, perform the wipe and boot the system again. Maybe something went wrong during this process and you ended up with a corrupt data partition. Try booting into recovery by hand (volume up + home + power button) and perform a data wipe there. Reboot again and see if it's booting again.

[Q] Phone stay on Samsung logo after sudden shutdown

My father-in-law has a samsung galaxy s3 i9300 and yesterday he has sudden shutdown and when he turn on the phone, the model display and after that the logo of samsung stay forever.
What can we do?
it could simply be a boot loop
to fix
go to recovery mode
volume up+home+power buttons together
then click on wipe data factory reset
be advised that this will delete all messages contacts and applications
Sudden shut down can cause partition corruption, try the above first but you may have bigger problems.

Ever see a factory data reset not wipe a device?

My mom has this old Galaxy Tab 3 that started randomly rebboting on her. She asked me to look at it.
When you turn it on it boots up to the home screen, and after about 10 seconds it reboots. I booted the tablet into safe mode thinking it's an app she installed. Safe mode lasted a little longer maybe 30 seconds before it rebooted. So I booted into recovery mode, and wiped the cache, and rebooted back into safe mode. Still rebooted after 30 seconds or so. So now I tried wiping the tablet, let's start fresh. First I tried erasing it from the settings menu when the tablet is running. No luck will not erase. So now I tried to wipe it using recovery mode. Recovery mode mode claims facotey reset successful. I rebooted the tablet and my mom's email is still set up. So I went back into recovery mode and wiped the tablet doing a full factory reset 3 times in a row before rebooting and EVERYTHING is still there. Has anyone ever seen this before? Is this a problem with the flash memory perhaps? Maybe the main board? Any advice on what's going on or how to erase this would be appreciated.
Weird

This is very weird. So,Let me get this straight. You tried to wipe the tablet and it doesn't wipe.Well, when In recovery mode the recovery doesn't care if there is a loop a symlink or anything that will have any other function other than to exist. It will remove it without a problem.I would say Try doing it from custom recovery otherwise it's not-software relatef.

I've tried in the stock recovery mode whenre I hold the power, volume up button, and home buttons. When you say custom recovery is this like a TWRP recovery?
