irregular battery reading (spike) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all.. I'm having this problem where there's a spike in my battery history even when i didn't plug in my charger it shows an increment in battery percentage.
Then it jumps down almost immediately.
Anyone else having this problem?
What can i do now before admitting it's battery faulty because my dealer won't replace it for me if it's still working.

Search in xda/google battery calibration
It's will help you

how old is your battery? if it can't fully charge, it won't indicate a 100% charge; it will hang at a number in the high 90s, even when plugged in.
Yea it would just hang at 95%. But I think I got it,I reflashed the eclipse zip
And now it's fine, weird

Battery issues

Could someone help me determine whether my battery is dead or my phone has issues. When I plug in my atrix, it boots up fine, but shows that is cannot detect my battery and remains at 4%. If I take out the USB plug, then it automatically turns off because it has no batter. It says "0s on battery" and has multicolored lines. This is on CM10. I'm confused as to whether simply buying a new battery will fix this issue or my charging wire is fried. Thanks!

You could try flashing a GB ROM. Try with CM7-based, if it keeps happening then try with something stock. You can also try my Battery Fix app, it won't fix the battery but it will show you "real" and "shown" percentage. If none of this helps any, then I guess it's a hardware failure of some sort. Have any friends with Atrixes to borrow the battery from, just to prove it is (or isn't) the battery?
I bought another battery, but it turns out its the phones fault. I can't charge my battery. Does anyone know of a good universal battery charger that is <$10?

[Q] Correct process for calibrating the battery?

Hi, My Micromax Canvas HD's battery was draining very quickly. So, I purchased a new battery but no success. I searched google and came to know that battery needs to be calibrated after flashing a new ROM and i also updated my canvas hd from 4.1.2 to 4.2.1 JB. For calibrating, device needs to be rooted. So, I rooted my device. Now, this is the point where i am confused. There is an app on playstore "Battery Calibration" by NĂ©Ma. I downloaded the app and followed all the instructions in the app about calibrating the battery. This app deletes batterystats.bin system file to calibrate the battery. After calibrating through this app, I saw some improvement in battery but i noticed that battery power goes down at normal speed upto 65% but after that, it goes down rapidly. What is the problem? If i am using wrong method to calibrate the battery, then please give me the correct & best one. Thanks in advance.
Calibrate your battery when it is below 15%. Then use battery below to 5%. Then charge till 100% without any brake. It may solve your problem.
Hit thanks if my help works for you.

100% battery level when charging and seems to not!

Hi,
I'm having an strange issue while charging my Xperia Z2, in wich the green led notification is saying that battery is 100% charged, and the Android battery indicator says it's not!. A widget that I've installed from Play Store is saying has reached 4.2V.
Please see the images attached.
I don't know if Xperia Z2's battery has a 3.7V or 3.8V nominal, wich can explain the 4.2V or 4.3V of cutoff voltage.
Some of you guys are experiencing this issue?.
Thanks.
It shows green led from 90% and up. Stop looking for problems where there is none
Oh really?. I didn't know that. Maybe I've to read the user manual

My battery can't be charged by 100%

Recently I have replaced my SGS3 stock firmware by CM 11.2. Until now everything is OK except one little thing, when I charge my phone it doesn't reach 100% though charging for more than two hours and the LED became green.
I googled this issue and found lot of solutions but most of them talking about "calibration". If anybody faced something like this please tell me about your experience and do calibration really solve it?
I'd give it a few battery cycles

Calibration is a myth so ignore that, towards capacity the phone trickle charges so it can take quite a while to top up those last few percentage points.
Totally agree with @ghostofcain about battery calibration read this >> http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-battery-stats-does-not-improve-battery-life/ <<
