there is no tmo ruu but there are other ways to recover

How did you get to this point? Perhaps a flash gone wrong? If you give us some more info perhaps we could help.

I am having similar issues. No matter what ROM I try and flash, it installs but then I get stuck on the HTC logo. I believe others refer to this as a soft brick. Can anyone provide a way to fix this problem?
Does the OP have custom recovery already, if not, are you s-off?

Cool glad you fixed man.... A bricked phone is a brick won't turn on or power on lol you would really have to do something to **** it up like pull the battery out in the middle of a flash or radio update lol.. Then you would be like WTH and throw your phone out the window lol.

A bricked phone will not turn on hence the name bricked man lol bricked is bricked... Phone can no longer go to Hboot no bootloader.... Phone may turn on may not.. Depends on what you did..
If you can get into hboot a RUU will get your back on track or if you can get into recovery or flash another recovery... If you can't turn the phone on or get into hboot then you spanked it..
If you are bootlooping or your phone hangs during a boot that is not a brick... That is called a bootloop or a crash... Which was cause by the rom or not wiping or the recovery you used... That can be fixed....

Did you wipe before you flashed?
Also did you fasboot boot recovery.img then wiped and flashed the rom..
Some folks had issues with that rom... Since it's a alpha thing...

Can you get adb to find your phone? At all? Im sure they have a more easy way to go about it... If worst came to worst you can always wipe relock flash a stock rom back on it via RUU EXE or PCIMG. Turn debug on.. Unlock again flash recovery and fastboot boot recovery.img wipe and flash your rom...

[Q] HTC Hero GSM OTA Upgrade: bricked me.

Hello;
Question: what do I do go make my bricked, unrooted phone work?
I am turning here out of desperation. I was given an HTC hero by a workmate. I had great plans to root it, and try all the cool roms.
When I got it, before I put my SIM or SD card into it, I turned on WIFI and saw that there was an update available. The installation of that update failed, and now my phone doesn't boot.
The download completed, the installation started, but part way through I got an image of a triangle with an exclamation point in it. Now when I power on my phone it hangs on the "HERO" screen.
I have tried a factory reset. All the instructions for trying to fix this sort of thing seem to involve having a working phone. I'll try anything. Please?
Have You tried running RRU?

[Q] HELP. Stuck at HTC Boot Screen

Hi everyone,
I recently tried to flash a new ROM and had to upgrade my HBOOT. After i did so, I continued to flash the rom but probably made a noob move along the way because it got stuck at the HTC boot logo. I turned my phone off and then booted into recovery again but then got the error that 4ext was booting into safe mode because it could not mount the sd card. I did a bit of research and came across a thread that said to reflash 4ext and so I did. Now when I'm trying to boot into recovery, I get stuck at HTC boot logo again. At this point all I can boot into is HBOOT. Is there anything I can do or is my phone pretty much bricked?
My HBOOT version is currently 1.93.002.
Thanks.

If 4ext boot in safe mode it means your system partition or some other partition is corrupted the safest way to fix it is by running a ruu since your t mobile you won't face much trouble just lock your bootloader and run a t mobile ruu R2 is the latest

Well i cant get into 4ext at all now.
But i do have a few questions if you dont mind:
Would i lock it simply by doing fastboot oem lock in command prompt?
So the ruu would be the first one under tmobile on this site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1617644?
And could you link me to or give me a quick tutorial on how to flash the ruu without being able to get into 4ext?
Sorry im kind of a noob at this.

Yes that's how you relock it.. Ignore the s off and super cid thing... Just follow from step 6 onwards and it's linked to the r2 ruu so download that.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38516167

You can still get into the bootloader menu but not recovery? Are you able to use fastboot commands? If so reflash recovery through fastboot and see if you can get into it. If so try to reflash the rom.
