Hi
Thanks for your reply!!!
I am waiting for a new microphone from ebay again to see.....
i hope it will work now....and i will let you know
Thanks
If you search here on XDA, there's another thread talking about the unreliability of the flex mic. I will post the link when I get to a computer. While installing be careful not to bend this mic. Maintain a rounded profile on the flex, don't let it pinch. Insert the connector 1st before attaching the base, that should prevent the flex from pinching. Good luck!!
I ordered one from eBay as well, $5ish. Will have it in a few days, I will keep you posted.

dunno man what to tell you. Either you are not installing the mic correctly (you are damaging the flex everytime) or, something other than the flex cable is damaged. I live in DC metro area. if you are local, I'd be more than happy to meet up, lend you my mic to test to confirm.

Hello everyone. My charger port is somewhat broken... If I move it around and keep it at one spot it'll charge. I haven't really tried cleaning it or taking it apart yet as I don't have the tools. I've looked around on these forms and saw that there is a white version charger port and a black one? I also saw that the average price is around 18$ for the part.
Is it possible to repair the port with solder or something?
Appreciate the help!

If you're industry certified for soldering, I'd say go for it. I was at one point but I wouldn't attempt it as the contacts are super small. As for the part I don't know, I have a board bookmarked on my pc, and when I get back to it I'll check to see if it'll work for the black one. Have you rang up Sammy to see if it's something warranty will cover?
here's the board I have bookmarked. I haven't purchased from this company nor am I sure this will work, I was going to purchase it for a project that I haven't started.

Hey everyone. I fixed it by just replacing it. I found one for 14$ free shipping. One think I wanted to mention. When I looked at the broken part, the only thing that was wrong was the inside of the jack had destroyed contacts. The other pieces to the part was fine. So moral of the story is, do not use super snug cables like I did. I'm going to try to make new contacts in the broken one but its very small. Ill probably break it but whatever.

Use the stock charger and cable....and if you dont have one, buy one.
They are sized properly for the device, where aftermarket cables are not....g
I had a similar issue with an after market usb cable that fits too snug. I ended up using a dremel to flatten the two tabs and voila, no more having to tug the wire out
Hey guys, I traded my S3 earlier this spring for my S3. Was too pumped to notice the phone was beat up a little. There is a small crack off the side of the phone into the chrome on the side. and one of the corners is missing a little chrome. Frustrates me because I was told I could still be under warranty if it wasn't for these things.
My Problem is this:
My phone works with one pair of headphones, my skullcandies, but won't work with any other headphones i've tried. Also It went from working with my aux. cord in my car to no longer recognizing it. Is there anything I can try? Can that part be replaced? Will samsung cover it under warranty even if the screen has a small crack on the side?

If you've never done work in micro electronics be very very very very VERY careful. You can but the contacts off the MoBo in an instant and they're a ***** to replace and some you can replace.
If you have done micro electronics soldering it isn't that hard to replace the AUX port, that's one of the easier ones for me. Just remember to put some kind of heatsink near where you are soldering on the MoBo, alligator clips work great on this stuff as long as you don't slide them around, to keep it from overheating.

So I ordered a n7100 middle housing so I would have the holes in it for a wireless charging mod I want to do with a qi receiver. HOWEVER, I didn't realize there are two different middle housings and I am not sure I ordered the right one as I have heard that one works for lte but not the other. But searching I am not finding a sure fire answer that says which housing actually works with a verizon phone. Could someone PLEASE help me figure this out so I can order the n7105 if the 7100 will not fit? I would like to know before the 7100 arrives and I take my phone apart as I only want to do it once. Thanks guys.

Hello everyone this will be my first post on here I haven't really posted anything because most of my answers I find them on the search bar. But I haven't really found a solution to this problem. Well here is the story my friend found this sprint note 3 completely broken had no battery no stylus. It does have a bad imei, but I like to fix phones so she give it to me. I bought a verizon digitizer with frame and stylus I also bought a battery. Put it all back together but the cell phone wont power up I was wondering if any of you had any advice to what it could be? One are of the phone does gets really hot when plugged in the one with the green sticker. I was also wondering what arw the gold pins sticking out thanks.
Did she find it outside? I'm thinking along the lines of untraceable water damage.... shame, would have been one heck of a come up!!!

Finally one reply lol, but I believe she did and it is a shame I will keep on trying to find a solution to it anyways.
Bump
Someone gave me a SGS5 with a cracked rear camera lens. I replaced the lens and made sure I really cleaned the camera but it has these 3 brown shadows. They are small but very annoying. So I ordered a new camera.
My question is has anyone replaced one before and how hard is it?
TIA for any replies.

It's easy. It's only connected by a ribbon cable I believe, should be a quick 10 minute job.

Thanks but while replacing the screen I jacked up the digitizer. I can't believe I did that. I'm looking on line and the cheapest I can find is $125 . I can buy a whole used one for that much or less if I get lucky. Guess I'll be using it for parts now. Thanks for the reply anyway.
