Hi guys, my almost 2 year old streak just broke It was completely random too. Right now it gets stuck on dell logo (no rainbow).
UPDATE:
-Flashed stock recovery, no problem, trying to update via update.pkg gives me black screen
-sd card confirmed working
-qualcomm still a no go, but I see no use for it.
UPDATE 2:
-used streakmod, flashed DSC 2.3, followed instruction to the teeth.
-still waiting at dell logo, it's been 5 min T_T
UPDATE 3:
-cut open the plastic and switched external sd with internal sd. Wiped both of them, formatted to fat32, reflashed streamod, DSC 2.3 STILL STUCK WTF IS THIS???
Here's the situation,
1. I can access fastboot mode on phone
2. I can access recovery mode
3. Did a factory reset to no avail, still gets stuck on dell logo
4. Computer does NOT recognize sd card (ie I can't access it). I don't have any card reader so I'm not sure if the microsd is working.
5. Dug around a lot on internet and tried to flash stock rom, couldn't because qualcomm drivers could not be installed.
Errors were either "not intended for this platform" or "missing signature." In the driver section (Driver_2.067), I tried both x64 drivers, AMD and WNET (WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE ANYWAYS??), same results. Tried x32 as well, same thing.
6. Can't access streakdroid ( is it down for good?)
Thank you very much for any help.

k after i finally succeeded to downgrade (thinkin that the hard part is done!!!!), i cant get past step 1, i keep gettin either "waiting for device", or htc black screen, or nothing happens. step 2 is even worse, all i get is "device not found", or loads of "FAILED". ive reinstalled htc sync 2, uninstalled htc drivers.
i think it seems that my computer is not recognising the phone as an android device, cos everytime i connect it, win7 seems to automatically install drivers (nd i cant stop that) and recognises it as HTC ANdroid Device (it appears as a "Disk Drive")..... tried to use htc sync, phone keeps searching nd it fails.. help please i cant use my phone
ive managed to install adb drivers but it only recognises phone when is turned on normally, but wen i go into fastboot or recovery, it doesnt show any adb devices....
do i hav 2 install drivers 4 each mode????? id pay sum1 2 do this 4 me.
comon ppl, i will actually give u sum money if u help me out through the whole thing, (no joke)
updatE: done step 1, but step 2 cant be done cos computer doesnt recognise the phone as android in recovery mode.....it comes up as usb mass storage nd i try to update drivers nd comes up with error...
try running another OS...
i had problems with mine as well on win7 32 bit... so i used winxp on vmware
and everything went smoothly...
make sure you get the HTC Sync 2.33 or you can use PDANET to install the drivers
installed pdanet, same thing, evverything is awsome till i enter recovery wher the stupid **** drivers turn into "mass storage" and the android phone disappears....(using vista 32 now)

Try booting to normal mode, then connect the device to the computer as a removable disk (or connect your sdcard to the computer with an sdcard to usb adapter)
After that, put on your sdcard the recovery update.zip found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=969076
after that, boot in recovery. press vol-up + power and choose "apply sdcard:update.zip"
Then you'll get a CWM recovery menu where you can install any ROM (should put the ROM on the sdcard ofcrouse), and that saves you from running step2.
oh great stuff, i pressed apply update, then i get "signature verification failed", this seems way better than havin 2 go through step 2. how do i fix it though? thx 4 reply
also it says E: cant open cache/recovery/command
its not workin man, any1 ?????
Try using this one - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TXYUQUOP
(it's 100% working)
About "E: cant open cache/recovery/command" ignore it
thats the same 1, i replaced it, nd still doesnt work man. still "signature verification failed"
also do i need 2 do step 1 again like if i boot phone into normal, then come back to it, will that affect step 1? maybe thats y?
Are you sure step1 was finished successfully?
When you run it you need to make sure in the CMD window that there isn't any FAILED at the end
didn't understand your second sentence
omg it turns out that it didnt step 1 cos i didnt insert the goldcard (i feel stooopid)
now all is good, i got into the recovery menu nd now installing new rom. one thing, do i need to wipe cache or play with the other options before installing new rom??? or do i just press install zip from sdcard? thx 4 help, finally sumthing
Do data+cache wipe (if you're using the update.zip method of recovery, I think that the wipe data also wipes the cache) and only then install new ROM
WOAAH BETSY! Backup first before anything! Save the backup to your pc in case you mess anything up! Then wipe cache, and everythign you can wipe (besides SDCARD)
So does yo daddy

Hello,
my device (i9300) as mentioned above got stuck in a boot loop.
First I did was I installed the latest pac-man ROM from here. After successful testing I decided to flash the latest OmniRom 4.4 from here.
Now here comes the dilemma with: My Failure was that I had a old Recovery (CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4) and I didn't see the point where it says that I have to update it first.
My USB Connection to my PC was already broken before I started to flash any of the ROMs. So I can't connect to the PC to flash via Odin. It fails on the driver installtion. (I copied everything in my cloud and downloaded it to the internal sd)
The Device Manager shows alwas a ! in a yellow triangle near the "Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device" (Download Mode) with a errer code 10: Device cannot start. I did millions of solutions but nothing worked against this issue ...
Currently my device starts where the Samsung galaxy s3 logo pops up, get stuck by that with a red 1 on the upper left corner and boots into the "old" recovery.
This is my Problem. Please help me to fix this (and the USB bug).
Thank you very much
Kind regards,
A.R.Cante

To fix the USB bug, you must uninstall that driver and download the driver ( try to install kies for example )
To fix the bootloop try to do a full wipe in recovery mode

None of your advices worked. I did unistall all drivers and also Kies. Reinstalled and it doesn't worked. So I uninstalled it again and installed only the drivers but this didn't worked too.
Everytime I uninstall the drivers and connect the device to the PC it is trying to Install the Drivers over Windows Update and Kies isn't reacting at all.
Now since I wiped data/factory reset, cache partition, dalvik cache and formated /system and /preload my device won't start automatically in the recovery anymore. It get stuck on the Samsung Galaxy SIII Logo with the red 1 in the upper left corner. To Access to the Recovery I have to take the battery out and and insert it again and press volume up + home + power.
What can I do now?
Thanks in advance

Try to download any custom ROM if you don't done yet and put it in your external sd card ( use an other phone or card reader ) and now try to enter in recovery mode and install it and let us know the result

I tried this now on my Desktop Computer and it worked fine. I didn't need to install drivers manually. It installed it by itself and therefore i was able to use odin!
I flashed the new recovery and put the omnirom and pa-gapps on my sd card (I also tried this on my notebook but my card reader is maybe broken)
so i installed teamwin recvovery over pc, put rom and gapps on my sd card and flashed them over recovery.
Now all works fine.
Thank you for your help.
But what I don't understand is my Win 7 OS (32 bit) is recently set up on my VM everything was fresh but it didnt recognized my device... Google says a lot of people are having this issues. I've tried everything whenever I found allegedly a solution for this problem. None of them worked. I simply switched the computer and everything is fine. This is ridiculous. One year ago, when I had running windows as main OS, there were no problems at all. If the problem was caused by a virtual machine I think that not many people would complain about this issue.
Kind regards
Why would old Win 7 recognize your device unless you install drivers .

I don't really understand your comment. The Problem of this USB error has no root. When your Windows System says error code 10: device cannot start then you have a big problem because you don't know why and how to fix this. Try and Google this. You will find thousands of people complaining the same error. Everyone has other solutions for that. Some edit their registry, others simply do a soft-reset and try another USB-Port.
Samsung support can't help you at all because they don't know why this is happening. And the solving of this problem is really random. i tried for hours to solve this with no success (except switching to another computer).
Windows says on my laptop the device cannot start but it is perfectly connecting to my other computer. How can this happen? I don't know. Maybe the error code 10 is not that specific and there is something other wrong than my device.
Ugh, totally my fault for not thinking this through.
Had downloaded the Paranoid Android ROM, a newer version from what I had, as I had installed it incorrectly.
So I thought, no worries, I'll just reinstall the ROM.
Booted into recovery mode, did a full wipe and then tried to install the new rom, only I couldn't find it anywhere...
Thinking I'll restart the phone and figure it out from there, but of course it doesn't go past the loading screen.
I can boot into download mode, but on my PC if I boot Odin, it doesn't recognize the phone and I get no yellow colour.
Pretty sure my internal SD card still has one or two custom roms on it, but without booting into recovery mode, I can't do much.
Odin doesn't recognize my phone. I installed the drivers from the samsung website, but it is not reading the phone in download mode.
Now I am unsure if there's another driver I need to install, i.e. a USB driver, seeing as this is a brand new pc, but other than that, I'm stuck.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
Download galaxy s3 toolkit from original android development section, install it and agree when asked to install drivers , reboot Pc and cross fingers for your Pc to detect your phone in download mode then just flash stock ROM

If you have a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP), you can use an OTG cable to connect a USB stick to your phone (which will be discovered by CWM, haven't tried TWRP) and install a new ROM with gapps from it...
Of course if you want to install stock, you have to stick with Odin.
Hope it helps
Dear friends,
I have this problem: I got a brand new TCL S720 and the Google Play did not work, being a known rom issue. So, before doing anything, I've managed to make a backup of it's original rom with MTK Droid tools whichI supose it did it well. Then I've tried to install a CWM recovery to try a custom rom for it. The CWM recovery seemed to install succesfully but I didn't manage to install the new rom. If I remember well, it stucked on boot logo. Then tried to revert at it's original stock recovery, managed to have the phone back as it was in initial state, but doing more tries, It remained stucked on boot logo. The problem is that my computer doesn't recognise it anymore, when I connect it to USB it tries to install MTP usb driver but even before the driver was installed well, now it refuse to install, like the driver is not good or the proper driver doesn't exist. So the only thing I can do is to boot on stock recovery but even I tried to copy the original rom as update.zip on external SD and to flash the phone using install update from sd card in recovery mode, It doesn't find the external sd card. So I'm stuck here, the computer doesn't detect the phone to try flashing it with SP flash tool or MTK Droid tool, and I also can't flash it from sd card. Have you any idea how to make it work again?
Thanks in advance.
HI,
I have an old Galaxy TAB P7500 and wanted to upgrade the Android version. I followed a guide and tried to install a custom ROM, but it failed. Now the tablet is stuck on the CWM screen and when I reboot it it goes back to the CWM screen. I can't connect to the computer via Odin or Kies since the computer does not recognize the tablet (drivers are installed) and I can't try any other ROM since the tablet does not have any external sd card, so it can read the data only from the internal memory, which I cannot reach.
I'm desperate. Any suggestion?
Thanks
