You should download and install the latest version of Flashtool and it's drivers, connect your phone in Flashmode and then relock the bootloader.
Alternatively, you could just flash a stock FTF in Flashtool and fix whatever is wrong with your phone.

Try installing the flash tool again, and make sure you install the driver package in driver folder under flashtool directory. Also while installing the driver package make sure you select your phone model number and also select the fastboot and flashmode drivers
That is what I exactly do..
As I'm using flashtool and do moding from last 8-9 months, So I guess I do every step properly.. btw any other advice??
Go to device manager, uninstall pre-existing drivers named Android ADB Device etc and then try.

Try everything but nothing worked!!!
lastly flashed GB firmware n problem solved!!

Yup follow the steps ..
1) Install SEUS or PCC
2) Let it detect your device , once that is done then disconnect device.
3) Install latest Flash tool & reboot desktop and ur phone..
4) Switch on ur device and switch on Debugging mode on & let flashtool detect ur device...
5) If it doesn't reinstall the drivers from the below path C://Flashtool//drivers//drivers.exe
Run .exe file
6) A window will pop up for your device selection and choice of which drivers to install choose fastboot ,flash mode,Xperia Sola
7) Accept all window permissions that windows will ask you for installing drivers manually... this will take time like 8-10min
8) Once done reboot device and Desktop
Try connecting in fast boot or flash mode ... your device will be detected Enjoi
Cheers!!!

maybe u r nt connecing it properly..
proper method is to shut off phone... remove usb...
now select the ftf file in flashtool and click flash... when flashtool ask to connect phone in flashmode... press vol down of phone and connect it to usb..
also win 8 requires u to first disable driver verification check n install drivers
I heard windows 8 does not work well with the adb drivers.....

Because I am afraid that I would start the Flashing then the phone may get bricked if will be disconnected during the operation!

No, the phone stays in flash mode when it is flashed, if it's just connected then it lgoes off flash mode after a while.
Anyway the instructions are to connect in flash mode only when asked for, maybe that's the reason for it.
Well my xp Windows will crash if I don't plug-in the phone when asked so...

Can you send me the link of the drivers that are working properly?
Hey guys, before i start i like to say that i searched the forum at least 2 hour and other sites as well. My problem is;
my phone (Xperia Neo V) got stuck in bootloop when i was refreshing the mails in gmail app and it asked me to refresh automatically and i said yes after i said res it got stuck.
I tried to enter the recovery with volume buttons and home key and tapping the screen it didn't work. My phone was rooted and i was using a custom 4.0.4 rom (Unfortunately i didnt remember the name of the rom since i was using it over a year with no problem).
I also tried flashtool and sus from sony website both of them didn't recognise my phone when i plugged in the computer. Even my computer doesn't recognize my phone at all.
So here i am helpless, seeking for a help?
Is fastboot or flashmode working? If fastboot working, flash any other custom ics kernel like suave and flash the rom again.. It has custom recovery.. If flashmode working, flash stock ftf using flashtool.. You will lose root but your phone will boot up for sure..
Regards,
vishal_android freak
1)Just download the .ftf file
2)Install drivers from flashtool>drivers folder, during installation don't forget to tick flashboot option
3)move the .ftf file to firmware folder of flashtool
4)start flashtool and turn on mobile and connect with USB
5)click on bolt sign and go flash boot, disconnect mobile and connect in flshboot mode(holding back button put in USB)
6)it will flash it self, done... If I helped u please give me thanks

Hi
I bought a xperia P, used.
I think that the motherboard are a problem, because:
1.When i delete the intern memory or make a factory reset in my phone, after the reset the phone in the memory appears the all files, before i delete the memory.
2.When i connect the phone in fastboot or flashboot it is not possible, because i have s1 boot download problem or s1 fastboot download problem, but i installed pc companion, flashtool driver and all drivers.
So i dont know to make a firmware update or else.
Any idea???
When a master reset is made, files on the sdcard remains, it just erase apps and data on the internal memory

1.Switch off your mini
2.remove battery and wait for 5 seconds before you reinsert it
3.keep holding upper volume button and connect usb cable (make sure its already connected to PC)
4.if there's blue notification light, then its fastboot mode.
5.Also you need fastboot driver installed from sdk on your PC
May be, if you are familiar with all above steps, i guess something wrong on PC. check with removing & reinstalling fastboot driver from sony's site

You say you had unlocked bootloader before flashing ST15i)_4.0.2.A.0.42_CE ftf
And then you upgrade to .587 via pc companion ?
Because AFAIK when I tried updating same on my friends phone with unlocked bootloader. Pc companion denied to update because of software modification.
And if you were successfully updated then most probably your bootloader is relocked. So you may wanna check that!
Also try for hard reset if possible!
