About 2 minutes ago, was playing songs through external speakers and phone suddenly switched off. When I tried to restart it, the phone started but now I just can't listen songs neither on external speakers nor on earphones.(and the phone overheating a lot after the issue)
Phone speakers are working fine.
Any suggestions..?

Just recieved my phone back from service center
They replaced my phone's motherboard free of cost and now my boatloader is
***LOCKED***
I think they didn't check my phones bootloader, otherwise I would have been charged for the repair
Gonna unlock boatloader soon.

Hello, i just wanted to ask some advice. I just got my htc one a little over a week ago with tmobile. When i got home the first thing I did was unlock the bootloader and install cwm recovery. Just last night i started to notice my top speaker was making horrible crackling noises and i realized the speaker was blown. What should i do about getting this fixed? I assume that no matter what I do at tmobile they will try and blame it on the bootloader being unlocked, and i am worried that htc will do the same. Has anyone had to deal with anything like this? Any adivice would be greatly appreciated.

I would unroot it and try to lock it back. I don't think it was because of you rooting it since we dont even have SOFF to begin with. I would contact HTC about it and if they noticed it argue with them that you unlocking it couldn't have possibilty done that and it was a hardware problem on their side
1 year warranty call HTC n u also have insurance on ur phone so just call HTC or return to tmbile where u got it n just don't tell them is rooted or unlocked they won't check that

HTC on the other hand and Samsung both now require to send device in first before you get a replacement sent ,they figure let them determine wether the owner is wrong right or at fault .
So HTC will see that it's been tampered with because when u relock the bootloader it will never say just locked again it will say relocked
No way around that .

Today suddenly my phone screen became as shown in pics. Please see the pictures. I doubted that a small amount of my sweat went inside. I dried the phone totally nearly 6 hours. any suggestion to get back to original clean screen?
You should have to visit Care Centre immediately after relocking ur bootlodder, if u root ur desire x

The screen is inside is damaged, maybe too much pressure was put on it, but the digitizer didn't break, if you haven't unlocked it send it back for repair

Relocked is different from locked.
They won't charge you if you're lucky.
I was an unlucky one though. They charged me for replacing my fried wifi module.

My device was relocked and they refused to repair it without charge. Said the warranty was void. T-Mobile Poland. Even worse, they said the motherboard needed to be replaced but didn't even bother to check what was wrong. I fixed the thing myself with a piece of paper (loose SIM-card slot). I felt like they wanted to rip me off...
Newbie here. Recently got the HTC One and started using it.
Everytime i take a picture with the flash or put the phone on loudspeaker, the phone will shut off itself and i have to manually power it back up. It also was doing this even when not in use.
I was wondering what can be causing this,
That's some sort of defect and you should get a warranty replacement

Thanks man.
Just actually called in to HTC and they told me re install the rom and if that doesnt work they will do the ticket for warranty.
Why not use at&t?

even if i was not the original owner of the phone?
I heard good and bad stories from that particular situation, some say it's possible but it's hell. Give it a try and do not be specific, but it's based on when the phone was bought from them so it's pretty unlikely.

I believe the warranty is on the phone and not the ownership. If your account is in good standing, they should warrant the phone. And yes it will be a refurbished one.

Plugged in my phone to charge last night and woke up this morning and unplugged it. I noticed green LED was not turning off even after unplugging but figured it'd just go away. Drove to work and it was still on so I decided to restart to see if that fixed it. Well, now it WONT TURN ON! Ive held the power button down for about 60 seconds, tried power+up/down volume rocker and am getting no results. If I plug the phone in to my usb on my computer, the LED does not turn on either. Any suggestions? I think i may have to make a trip down to the ATT store today
Vol up and power 15 seconds. Cannot be plugged in.

Wanted to update, had to go to ATT and they declared the phone DOA. They seemed to think there was a surge when I was charging it. I was using the OEM charger and everything. Was two days out of the return period but they were awesome and gave me a brand new device anyway. This is the first time this has happened with any phone ive owned (that I havent dropped/soaked). Really hope this one lasts because it's beautiful!

Were you rooted? S-off? It's most likely hardware related but trying to eliminate any other possibilities. Thank goodness for AT&T s return policy.

i know your location says Arizona, but i had to ask;
it was there any thunderstorm or lightning in your area? is your charger was connect to wall outlet, or extended cord? does your charger still working?
There have been no thunderstorms for a while, and it was plugged into the wall with the oem charger. The charger still works but I'm not using it at the moment since I'm being parinoid.

did you root your phone or install any custom kernel, Rom , or anything other than stock?

That might be the reason.... Same thing happened with me while back with my HTC sensation. after installing a custom kernel, I woke up in the morning and my phone was completely dead, no charge led , no vol+ -. Nothing. I took the battery out for 10 minutes and then the phones worked again. After one hour it dead again. So I had to install stock ruu again.

Is your phone was rooted too?
Yes, but that has nothing to do with this. Bad hardware, period. It happens. It was acting a little funny prior to it dying. When I would leave my microcell, it would not connect back to ATT towers without hitting airplane mode or a reboot. WiFi signal seemed a little weak also. New one is fine.

Definitely think it was hardware related.

Is it generally true that the kernel is essential for energy management in the device including charging?

If that was the issue it would be related to recovery or hboot. And as the previous poster stated, this has only happened to a few people. Defective HW. It happens.

Z4 won't work on DX, find a way to unlockbootloader without wires (if possible) and then install recovery and flash Supersu as suggested in the other thread. ..... this might sound a bit stupid but you have tried a different wire haven't you ??

Go into bootloader (volume down and power button when phone is off) and connect usb. If it then says fastboot usb. You should be okay
Also Do you get any messages on computer ? (E.g. device not recognized)
Dont get any error messages or anything the pc will just not see the phone I want to root it so I can UAE my sd card as the memory for it so I can use more apps
