You can find the replacement on ebay, price isnt to bad either. This video shows an opened one, and in the description he explains how he opened the phone without destroying it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTkedw4_27k
It will probably be a little difficult so take your time and don't try to force anything. Also take pictures or video so others can see how it went. Good luck to you buddy, i hope you are able to get your phone working again. Such a great phone, i would hate to see you lose it!
I think etrade supply sells it as well, a quick google search should help.

Good luck man. According to AndroidCentral, iFixit gave the HTC One a 1 out of 10 score for repairability making it one of the most difficult phones to repair. Everyone should make sure to buy insurance.

If you can get three you can get them from
http://www.globaldirectparts.com/Samsung-T-mobile-Galaxy-S-Vibrant-T959-Camera-p/smsng6085857.htm
if you want a single one you can go to
mobletechvideos.com
OR
ebay and make sure its a V0.2_ camera.
MobileTechVideos is awesome! I ordered my camera on 4/4 and received it this afternoon. Going to install it tonight...
Thanks guys appreciate it alot

I second that. I think that you can also send your phone into him (Josh) and he'll install it for you. I think it's like $75 for the camera and the labor.
MobileTechVideos is too expensive for me. Is there any other alternative?
eBay is another option - I have one for sale there now!
Ordered the V2 FFC from MobileTechVideos.com last week. Got my package in good time, when I opened the package, it was the original T959 camera, not the V2 FFC that they advertised. What is worse, the camera is used. Probably an honest mistake on their part, but I am very disappointed and annoyed non the less.
Contacted them about the "mistake", hope they check their inventory to verify that they sent out the wrong camera and get me the correct one promptly. Once I get the camera, I will post my results.
I know for a fact the V1 that you get on eBay does not work well because of the banding issue under low light. I have one sitting around if anyone want to give it a try
Running Bi-Winning V3 on my Samsung Vibrant. I am very curious if this V2 camera will actually work as touted by MobileTechVideos.com. If I ever get it...we will see....
I'm sure that dude made an honest mistake. Just email him he's pretty quick about that kind of stuff.
guys, just got this phone for my wife. i know that site has them for $45, but couldn't find any on ebay. any tips on what keywords to use? thank you!
Resently i decided to buy used i777 at ebay. While was purchasing 'new' device, i found out that almost all esed ones are previously repaired. Have you got any information what is wrong with it?

Can you provide some specifics? Tell us exactly what the problem is with the phone. What does it do, or what does it not do?

Any HELP WOULD be greatly appreciate!!!!
4 days ago me and my wife bought notes. I recently discovered today that some spots on my phone do not work with the s pen. So i decided i need to take it back and exchange for a new one. But right before taking the phone back my phone was dropped and received hardly noticeable dents/scratches on the phones side on the metal. You have to be shown most likely before you even realize it has dents/scratches.
Will i still be able to return it or hope they just dont notice it?
Thanks for your feedback!!

Was the purchase made at a corporate or dealer store, or ordered online? It'll be inspected at a corporate store, probably not inspected at a dealer store, and if it was an online purchase, the warranty department will try to get you to put a hold on a credit card till yours is shipped back because they seem to try hard as hell to not do their job. At all. You might be able to appeal to the manager of that store to let you swap it. Can you post pics of the "damage"?
Thanx for the quick response and to answer ur question. Yes it was at corporate store. But i don't want to return it just want to exchange it.

Yeah, I got that much. It shouldn't be a problem if the damage isn't too noticeable, but it's iffy. There's a certain amount of discretion given to managers so you may luck out. Please post pics when you can...I'll try my best to give you an honest evaluation of your chances.
Actually hold on a sec ill get some
EDIT..... NEVER MIND CENT TILL TOM

Safest way to do this is.......exchange for different color.dont tell them about defect it had.then they will blame on u. because u droped it.
Let's wait for the pics before we make any call like that. I say that as a current AT&T RSC and former third-party sales rep.
best bet is do the return over the phone if possible. call them and they will send you a device, on reciept of the new phone you will mail the defective one back. i have had the same problem as you with dropping a phone right before exchanging it and it worked out ok. good luck!

Not exactly the best way. If the damage is too extensive, or a grumpy person inspects the phone when they receive it, his account will be charge for the full price of a phone, and there's not much you can do about it without a lot of hassle.
The best thing for him to do is post pics on here of the damage, because we have many AT&T employees on here who could probably make a fair assessment of the damage based on AT&T's stipulations, as I'm sure they've had to deal with returns like this before.
That being said, to the OP: you should be fine unless the case is deformed or there is a huge scratch through the paint. I once returned my old Captivate due to a faulty external speaker, and i had scraped the paint off of the front speaker grill so it was silver, and I had a gouge on one of the corners that was still noticeable but I had smoothed out with a little very fine grained sandpaper followed by steel wool. Sanding it out will probably not work for you on the chrome-ish border of the Note however.
Here is the pic

Could you maybe get one without a light reflection directly on the damage? It's a little hard to tell how bad that is. Your best bet either way is probably to go into an AT&T store, and see what they think about getting it replaced. If you have a device service center in your area, they can do an exchange on the spot for some devices, depending if they have it in stock.
The Note's too new. DSCs won't have any in stock and the only reasonable alternative is to exchange it in store.
As was said, if you can get a few more pics that don't focus directly on the damage, it might give us a better idea of what we're looking at.
This same thing happened to my phone and I never even dropped it. Right in the same exact corner. I pull it out of my pocket one day and bam the silver paint is gone.
Will i got it resolved!!!! THANKS FOR ALL THE THOUGHT OUT ANSWERS AND HELP.
took it in and was straight forward with them. Went in a corporate store down the street and was able to get an exchange done immediately.

Awesome! Honesty pays off. Glad that they were willing to work with you.
LOL the internet allows people to worry too much...
Anyone happen to know where I can source one of these? Aside from buying a bricked phone and swapping them... I can't seem to find any online, and yes I've tried searching. My i777 took a 4 foot drop and landed screen side down on tile floor (and I use the Neo Hybrid case)... glass didn't break but LCD panel doesn't illuminate/show anything and it seems the assembly is 'all in one' and I can't get the LCD panel separately.

well, you can find most parts at globaldirectparts.com but to my knowledge it's out of stock
I think you should try to contact them and see if they can back order any
EDIT: since it's still 1 year you can send it to Samsung to replace it. same price or less and better servicing

Thanks for the tips. I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow. I had sensitive information stored on the internal memory, but I was able to blindly tap through and mount the phone on my pc and grab it off - so I'm going to take the lazy approach and see if they'll fix it. It's an easy fix, but if they'll fix it for cheaper then I may as well send it to them.
Perfect. Been needing a screen for months.
Hi so the other day I dropped my phone cracked the screen. So I've been calling a few places that do screen repair most places don't have the amaze parts in stock. One place that said they did have the parts told me it would be 180 dollars for parts and labor... Does that sound responsible? Or ridiculous ? I don't have insurance on this phone I've reached the limit.

That's probably the cheapest you'll find, I got prices ranging from 100-300 to change blackberry screen which is way more simple to change, I just did it myself, but it's a risky thing to do, so it's upto you if you wanna spend the amount or take the risk to do it yourself.

Hi
Hell! I've just did the exchange on that. I wouldn't pay that.
There's still some options. I recently smashed the digitizer on my sensation. I just bought the replacement part off ebay for about the 30 usd and do it myself.
There is nothing to these phones when you pop them open and alot of htc official disassembly videos are on youtube.
Even if you don't feel you could do it youself. I would get the part from ebay and take it Local.

Check around a bit more, don't just give in yet, always good to check for more options, might find it cheaper if you're lucky.
What about finding a used Amaze off Craigslist. I have saw a few for 225 give or take, then get the part for tour Amaze and learn off it in trying to repair it yourself and sell one. May make a profit off it.
Just IMO ....
