I tried to install Phantom kernel, wiped all my data and cache and dalvik cache, tried to install CM10 and it showed my an error, then when I pressed reboot the screen was blank.
Tried to turn the phone on but I only get a vibrate feedback and nothing on the screen.
Tried vol up + sleep/wake button and it vibrated
Any idea how to get my phone back?
There's this yellow green LED when I connect it to my computer, but the computer doesnt recognize it...
Can I flash the stock firmware through Flashtool or something?

Are you sure there is Phantom kernel for CM? Cause the kernel is ROM specific sometimes...
Try to enter flashmode to flash stock ROM with flashtool, that will do the trick.
I'm not sure, it said 'Phantom Kernel CM"
And um, how do I enter into flashmode again?

1. Turn off your phone by holding power and volume up button until u feel 3 vibration
2. Press volume down button, then connect USB cable to enter flashmode (noticed by green LED)
3. Open flashtool, click flash button, select flashmode, OK

Xperia S Issues. Bad Flash
Hi, I read the 'existing users' installation instructions on the Sspeed ICS rom and installed the rom without installing the ics rom and kernel (I was tired). When booting, I go in a bootloop with the doomkernel screen. I can access recovery fine.
When holding vol+ and connecting to PC the phone goes back into it's bootloop and does not boot into fastboot.
When holding vol- and connecting to PC the phone flashes the green led and then boots into bootloop.
If I wait until the phone vibrates and lights up blue I can press the button to access recovery. I thought I could then just copy a gb rom over using USB mount but it is not detected on the PC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Thanks but like I say fast boot and flashmode don't work so I can't access this option
I have the same problem too... I was hoping it would just work, but apparently it doesn't it needs a base rom.....I'm at work at the moment so i cannot fix my phone(i flashed it while at work which i shouldn't have done...) i noticed you can put it into fast boot in recovery - go to reboot options then fast boot can you see if that works

Hi thanks for your reply. I've tried going to fastboot
from recovery and I get a blue flashing light for one flash then it boots up again. Am I able to do anything at that point?
Glad I'm not the only stupid one on here
im not the expert here but I have bricked other phones before but never an xperia phone before. I have been reading up, the doom kernel has some mounting options, try to mount the sd card as mass storage so pc can send files accross to the phone. It should be mount and storage menu -> mount usb storage, then leave it on that menu and connect to computer, see if that works

Hi is this by the mount USB storage optuon ? I tried that and it wasn't detected on the PC. I could try another PC later. Recovery went into mount mode fine but nothing happened on the PC. Not even a blank drive which I know some people have had
If it blinks the LED for a second and reboots, that means that you don't have the drivers. Install drivers that are bundled with flashtool and try again. Or use Linux / OSX.

I've used the laptop I'm trying it on for unlocking the boot loader and rooting. Maybe something corrupted the drivers. Will try on my Linux machine when I get home.

Just Press VolUp and Power button until you get (one vibration followed by 3 consecutive vibrations) ... it will mean phone is shutdown.
Once shutted down, you will be able to press VolDown while plugging phone to PC and it will enter into flashmode.
Then you will be able to flash a FTF using flashtool
doesn't work...after the 3 beeps i let go and the screen turns black but then the boot loop happens again, i cant turn the phone off

Hello. I've got familiar problem. My phone blacked out after one day having about 35 % battery full. I was trying to reset it by holding power and volume up buttons - nothing happened. Just once showed up Sony logo but then again black nothing. Then it vibrate 3 times quickly and from that time it is shutted down, won't turn on even in flashmode. LED is not working too. I was asking for advice in local store servise and guy told me, that new phones have to be at least 30 min on the charger. So it's here now for hour, no result. :/
Just fixed this issue.
Follow these steps
1.hold vol up + power until phone vibrates 3 times.
2.open flash tool and point towards your stock file.
3.hit okay
4.wait for flash tool to prepare the files then it will prompt you to connect device in flash mode( vol down + power)
5.wait for it to finish. Unplug reboot and there you go fixed...
Hope this helps

Use the bundled wallcharger!!! not a PC, pc has too less power to charge it now!
After wallcharger is placed hold vol+ and power for a few seconds until 3 vibrations, then let the phone on charger for atleast 2 hours, if all is good phone will bootup to the "charging animation"

Something similar happened to me. I have the bugged version of chargemon (only can charge with phone on) and accidentally discharged completely. The phone didn't boot, didn't charge and didn't do the 3 vibrations thing. So I put the battery off, conected the wall charger, putted the battery and it booted
It's really easy to remove the battery, you just need to be careful

I think this recovery.img was not walid... I did that with my phone too, and nothing appear in screen. U have to flash another kernel (i suggest, the doomlords kernel). After that turn on the phone, and press the volume up, when doomlord logo appears.

If you tried the methods above with no joy it obviously isn't installed. With the cwm you are trying is there a .bat file in the download on your computer. If so while your phone is plugged into PC run the bat file and follow onscreen instructions. Then try launching cwm again. If you havnt managed it yet leave a message and I'll find it.

I am posting here as I am facing the same problem.
I have been following this guide to flash my phone with CM10 from ICS stock rom.
h#ttp#://androidlegend.com/xperia-s-update-to-android-4-1-jelly-bean-with-cyanogenmod-10/
I have successfully followed everything done previously, including Unlocking the bootloader, getting root access, installing busybox, using RecoverX to install CWM.
I copied the FXP150-cm-10.1-20121209-UNOFFICIAL-mint.zip to sdcard, is it this that is required to flash to ROM or the boot.img that is inside the zip?
And I am stuck on that part where I have to reboot into recovery mode. I have tried
a) Connecting my phone and opening fastboot mode and then try to keep the vol up pressed to open recovery mode.
b) Without connecting, powering my phone on and pressing volume up. But there is no blue LED
c) Without connecting, powering my phone on and continuously tapping on sony logo. After that Xperia logo.
But I can not enter the recovery mode.
A little guidance please?
Flashing CM needed a seperate kernel. Keep following the instructions to use fastboot to flash the boot.img
Power the phone off. Hold vol + then plug the USB cable in. There should be a blue light.
Poorly written tutorial IMO. Should be flashing kernel first then the rom to save some panic.
I asked the Sony-Support, they say that there is no recovery-mode.(for Xperia U, but they are the "same")

Guys, dont ask Sony cause stock ROM doesnt have recovery.
If you want to flash CM you must fastboot the boot.img inside the zip file, before that put the ROM into your phone memory, power on the phone and keep pressing vol up, enter into CM recovery and flash rom from phone memory. Wipe before and after.
Agree, stock ROM doesn't have Recovery Mode. When you turn your phone with VOL_UP, nothing happens :cyclops:

try flashing it again, maybe your first flash had an error.
Met the same problem and here what I did:
-Take off the battery in 10 minutes and put it back
-Plug the charger into the phone and do the logging in CWM steps (press and hold the volumme up, press the power button).
Finally it worked, hope this can help

Can You DEV's Help me? also when I plug it in to my computer it doesn't charge for some reason. there is also no LED notification light, is it because of the failed Flash caused all these things to happen? Help!

Flashtool method
Download the correct firmware file for your phone at the bottom of the post.
Make sure Flashtool is installed.
Place downloaded firmware file(.ftf format) in Flashtool\firmwares(by default C:\Program Files\Flashtool) folder.
Start Flashtool.
Click the lightning button and choose Flashmode.
Firmware should appear there, if you have it in correct folder. Choose it.
Turn off your phone, connect USB cable to computer, then press Volume Down button and connect USB cable to your phone.
Flashtool should detect your phone and starts flashing. Follow the instructions.
When it says „Flashing completed“, unplug your phone and turn it on.

What volume combination and stuck at the logo mean? You do flashing firmware via flashtool with device off.
It said connect USB cable and then power + vol - .I did it but nothing happened. It's still at the logo. I installed an official firmware once and a blue led indicator showed up. Now it doesn't .
Be sure that the phone is off then plug the usb cabl and hold volum down key in the same time and your in flash mod then open flashtool and see videos on youtube on how to flash ftf files using flashtool and that should be over

do you really want a cm10 rom? then unlock your bootloader (but be mindful that you may lose your warrant and bad things might happen to your phone) here's the tut http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879750
after you unlock your bootloader
flash your kernel through flashtool
then install cm10 rom
but if you want to go back to your stock rom
you need flashtool and obviously your stock rom (ftf file)
click the lightning-like button then choose flashmode
select the rom then you'll be prompted to connect your phone
hold the power button and volume down button at the same time until the led light is blue.
wait to complete and your back to your original rom
i hope it helped you

Factory data reset is not factory default ROM, what exactly did you do, factory data reset or have you flashed stock ROM?
Can you enter flash or fastboot mode? Remove the battery again before you try both, and open flashtool window to see if connected in flash/fastboot mode.

And what is best Cyanogenmod ROM for Sony Xperia U?
Hello,
Yesterday i decided to root my xperia sola, and i did that, and I also did CWM recovery and right after, i tried to install a new ROM. I found some "XNovathor Project 4.1.2 V5" rom and followed the instructions....backed up, wiped everything, wiped cach and than I installed the rom from phone sd memory... it showed as if succesfully installed. Finally, the video guy says that i should reboot the device (the first option in boot window) and to wait as long as it takes. So I did...I rebooted it and it just turned off...i left it whole night, hoping it will boot up eventually, but it didn't...After I realised it wont, i tried to turn it on, but when i hold the power button, it's just vibrating every few seconds for half a sec as if it will turn on, but it doesn't. The light doesn't turn on, nothing shows up on screen....when i push the volume down and power button at the same time, along with vibrating, the led light goes green every few seconds. Only diffrence is that when i put it on the charger and than press volume down and power button, the led light turns green and it doesnt turn off untill i unplugg it. Is this what they meant when they said "bricked phone"? Thank you in advance, any advice is appreciated!
Try flash stock FTF file via flashtool if you can get into flashmode.

i don't know which region are you from but you can download stock .54 FTF file from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...27i-xperia-sola-official-thread-root-t2273748
1.open flashtool
