So awhile back ago I rooted this device and I guess this made my boot logo a lock with Samsung below it. Is there any way to change this back to the stock boot logo?

No. It will come and go after reboots. I see mine sometimes and sometimes I don't.

That's so weird... Can't I just flash another boot logo?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
I get the unlock and custom image before the bootanimation every time. Really does not bother me though. Its nothing odin can't fix when going back to stock.
I get the unlocked logo each reboot, although I've never rooted, flashed a custom bootloader, or installed a custom ROM. Anyone else have this? Seems like it would be simple to fix, and I'm not really concerned about it anyway, but I'm more curious to figure out why it's there at all.

Don't think you can flash a different boot logo. You would need an ODEXED/DE-ODEXED firmware to make those changes.

It MIGHT be the boot animation.
Maybe there was a problem with odin?
Etc.
Just replace boot animation, see if it works
boot animation did not change it. I REALLY want it gone
Which kernel and modem are you using?
thats really odd ODIN didn't replace it. at&t bootanim after fresh ODIN and at&t after flash of ROMs huh. How bout kernels? still at&t? Do you get either one of the custom bootanims?
I am now using overstock with kb1 modem

i am having the same problem here.
It's not a boot animation. You must have flashed sbl.bin from the ATT ROM...can you provide a link to the ROM you were trying to port?
You need to flash the vibrant sbl.bin. I believe it's in the bible.
Its your bootloader....you need to re-flash the original vibrant sbl.bin to get rid of it. JI6 has it I believe...if not its JFD
i have odin it using both and still i get the at&t logo, its driving me crazy.
Stock ROM, Rooted and Unlocked.
Phone did the OTA update from today (5/2/13), rebooted to the green android, progress got to about 3/4 done and the screen goes black, battery was full charge.
Phone will not come on now, no button combinations work, computer (odin or toolkit) does not see the phone.
Are there any other options that I can try?

Stated that in the OP, battery was full when I started the update. Only took it about 5 minutes before it went black, so I know the battery isn't the issue.
You may have bricked your phone. You're not supposed to run the update if you're rooted and unlocked, something about it not being able to update with a custom recovery. I almost made the same mistake.

Oops missed the full battery line in the OP. How did you put stock recovery back? Did you return the phone back to stock?
By the way can you even get into Download Mode by holding volume down+home and power?

Used Note 2 Toolkit to get stock recovery back on it (using Odin) but had left the phone unlocked and rooted.

Gotcha, I never use toolkits so didn't even know that was an option. Well guess you know now to nut take an ota with a unlocked phone. Kind of strange it won't enter Download Mode.
I saw in anther post that are making Verizon send you a replacement since you bricked your phone, so I guess this thread is pointless now

Yeah, is kind of pointless now, but again, the keyword was should have a replacement, knowing Verizon, I will likely get screwed. But if I can somehow get this one back up and going, I can tell them to cancel it.

Same exact thing happened to me . Chk this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249146
Only way to recover is a RIFF / JTAG . I even tried the 300 KOhm and 301 KOhm jig to get it into Download mode and nothing ...... So its def a *REAL* brick that needs expert equipment or a factory service.
I flashed CM 10.1 and gAPPS(using cwmr), (I noticed that it took a LOT shorter than usual), and followed the instructions flawlessly, and when I was done with everything, I rebooted the phone, and nothing happened it went to the motorola logo and stayed there. I let it sit for a half an hour, and nothing happened. So I pulled out the battery, and loaded up CWMR again, I tried flashing it again making sure I did every step on the instructions and the same thing happened. After that, it wouldnt even boot up if I held down the power/sleep button, So I plugged it in to my computer, and it went to the motorola logo after about 2 minutes of a dark screen with the green LED on. I'm at a point where the only way I can power on the device is plugging it in to the charger. What would I have to do to install it successfully? Should I just go back to CM 10? and if so do I use a Micro SD card?

Is there a specific one that works(for you)? If so, which one? (I need to get this fixed ASAP.)
When it comes to ICS/JB ROMs, don't ever ask for "one that works". If you need a quick fix, go back to GB.

Personally, I've had no issues booting up on any ICS/JB ROM so far. the only thing that has been an issue is the touch screen. I made an error back in July/Aug to flash an alternate kernel, thinking that it would help. in the end, it killed half of my touchscreen.
Hi. I flashed a rom via ODIN. The 4.1.2 JB one for UCMD8. Problem is, the logo only shows the Samsung Logo, not the Samsung Galaxy SII Logo. Even if I unroot it, it's still like that. Can I bring the old one back? Thanks!

You want to replace just the boot logo? That's an easy fix; just Google "boot animation XDA" and you'll find several threads with flashable zips for you. In fact, I believe there's an older thread in our own Themes sub-forum, so maybe look there first.

No, not the boot animation. As in like the Samsung logo you first see when you boot it up.

I'm having an issue where my splash screen for bootloader is loading up twice. I'm a layman with phone dev., so let me describe the issue and see if someone can help. When I turn on phone I see splash screen for ~3 seconds, then it goes to black for ~1 second, and back to splash screen for ~3 seconds before boot animation. When I load system from TWRP it goes to splash screen and stays there until I press power and then it goes to boot animation. My phone runs AOKP at around 700 mb/1.8mb.
My fear is that I've loaded a bootloader on top of a bootloader, or that I've loaded a ROM on top of a ROM. Something fishy is going on and I'm trying to figure out exactly what. If anyone has any particular insights into my scenario, please post!

If your phone is booting and working don't mess with it. I don't get what your trying to say. Is the htc logo poping up twice and then it boots because I thought that was normal.

Being inexperienced as you said, I would avoid the ENG hboot.
But... if you had to.... flashing the ENG hboot with a custom splash would indeed give you a smooth boot.
But like I said, I'd advise against it. Your phone works as it should, just leave it.
