Does anyone have the original factory image of the DEV EDITION, which includes the original recovery.img and NOT custom recovery? I have the DEV EDITION but need the original factory image.
Thanks!
Wrong section homie. And to answer your question, I'm not sure.

Prior to trying to relock I flashed 2.3.5 for Electrify/Photon + Radio(Electrify only): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403322 using CWM recovery. Did this somehow prevent me from downgrading?

Try flashing a different rom first. Or do a nandroid restore first.

Thought I read of someone recent having the same issue and had to do a facotry data reset as a resolution. Will see if I can find the link to the thread.
Found the thread,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447421
Havnt had the issue myself but may find something of use in this thread...
Also this thread shouldnt be in development it should be in the Q&A...
it is flashable with odin
Can you upload stock system odin file?
the another thread i post. it is stock system with root. odin file
What's the difference between these two files? I assume one is the stock downloaded accessible via holding down the volume down button and power button? Sort of like the stock version of CWM?
What's stock boot?
Thanks.
So if you flash a custom rom these files will bring it back to stock?

So I have Da_G's root and CPU speed up but need to go back to stock because I am sending note back. Do I run both the files above and if so in what order?
Hi Mashi,
Thanks for your System Root method as I don't want to increase flash counters on it.
However, now that I need to exchange my galaxy note, how do I unroot it? I used your root method btw - just to remove bloatware and didn't go crazy - and I'm just trying to restore (unrooted), that's it.
Can I use those files that you attached with this post? If yes, should I use both or just the "att_note_stock_recovery.zip" via odin?
I need it to send in later today. Please help.
Thanks!
Wondering the same thing, do you have to use 2 files? or just recovery?
I'm also wondering about this.
Do we flash the boot first, reboot than flash the recovery?
Thanks Mashi.

That seems difficult. There is no easier way? I don't have a backup of my original stock rom. I accidentally deleted it.

The easier way is to use odin...it will trip the flash counter.

What's the link for Odin one?

question- is the boot.img a stock bootloader and if so which image do i flash first the boot or the recovery.img
for anyone still interested, the boot zip is actually the zipped stock kernel. Recovery is the one you want to if you are looking to restore 3e recovery
I need a copy of the original boot image (the one before the boot animation) I used sgs boot image changer and now I can't get rid of the pic that's there. Any help would be great I also could use some instructions on how to fix this. I tried restoring the back-up and that didn't work. Also I tried searching for it and no help.

Never heard of sgs boot changer before. I don't really have an answer but have you tries re-flashing whatever ROM your using to get it back?

Please, PLEASE use a more descriptive thread title so that people who actually take the time to search and have the same problem can find the thread. This title is USELESS!
param.lfs - it's included in the return-to-stock thread
Thanks Entropy sorry about the (help please) i was really pissed

There's an Odin flashable tar in the Download Repository. See link in my sig.
someone just posted a rom in the development forum (cant post in the thread for answer) so im hoping one of you will help a noob out , my phone is flashed to boost and i was wondering if updating to ics will remove my flash to boost ? i know flashing roms will not remove it but since this is a new version with new hboot and stuff.
Someone else is looking for this answr as well check the q&a to see if he found an answer. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Just read the op to make sure it is just the rom which you would flash through recovery. If its a zip file (pg86img.zip) you flash through the boot loader, its probably going to give you something you don't want.

Hi everyone,
I just reset my phone through LGPNST, cuz I accidentally deleted the Rom trying to flash new Rom . I learned it the hard way cuz I had my phone stuck in recovery mode for a week.
Long story short I just wanna backup my stock Rom before I try to flash other roms. Can anybody suggest best way how to do it ?
Every reply is appreciated and thanks in advance,.

Do you mean TWRP? Just back it up in recovery (TWRP). However, if you are using the recovery that freegee installed, I'd download and flash a newer one from the development section. They create much more reliable backups.

Yes it's twrp which I downloaded from freegee . I tried to backup from the system but it said failed for some reason which I dont remember. As I told I'm kinda new to all this stuff .this is my first android device . So could you please send the link that you're talking about . Thank you for your reply .

Here's the link for the TWRP that has been developed for the OG: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2019662. I was able to flash this to my phone via the instructions within this thread. I'm a noob as well to flashing, so can't give advice beyond pointing you here.
Here's a link for Clockwork Mod for the OG, another recovery program: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010984
There seems to be a bit more development being done for the Clockwork Mod...
