Hey All!
I have the T-Mobile HTC One with AOSPA PA 3.65 (July 7) installed. Everything seems to be working except the WiFi with WEP security. I wanted to post this on the development section, but I am a newly registered member. I've been using XDA for years and look forward to answers.
Question: is this issue just on WEP security networks? Or is WiFi bad all around on PA? It will connect and then fail. Thanks in advance.
I read all the Q&A and didn't find anything on this issue yet.

Been awhile since you posted, I recently switch to paranoid on my htc one on att and am having wifi issues. Did you ever find a solution?
I also have paranoid android and it seems like wifi signal is significantly weaker than with the stock rom. Any of you notice or experience this?

Hey, sorry for not getting back, I ended up upgrading and never did find a solution.

Some of the wifi only roms work on the 3g 7500 tabs, they lose 3g though. Not sure if that would work on your tab or not.

I'm looking at purchasing a Verizon 4G tablet, but don't really care about the 4G. Is there an issue w/ installing WiFi ROMS on a 4G if you only want to use WiFi?
No, just ensure that it is specific to your model. Also, please refer to above post from Mod.

there shouldn't be any problems. but you better off using a 4G version. otherwise what's the purpose if buying a 4g tablet and spending extra money into it for using it as a wifi tablet?
The link above gives you a great ROM for your 4g tablet like mine. look at my Signature.
Thanks for the help. The only reason I'm considering the 4G is there is one that I can get for a really good price. Other wise I wouldn't have even considered it.
Hello,
I know many of you may be running the leaked version of ICS. I was fortunate enough to get mine running stable since the leak in March. Has anyone tried to update their phone to the official release?

I am able to run Kies in Windows 8 Consumer Preview, but Kies is unable to establish connection between my PC and Samsung Device. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

First of all, thank you for trying to do this! I don't think that the herd will care and they will continue to clog up the development thread, but you're trying and that definitely counts for something.
Do we have a current bug list that isn't just a bunch of "me too!" and random one off bugs? I'm talking about things that are consistent across all users who have properly installed? I think a well maintained list would be beneficial to the CM team (read Steve) rather than having them cull through the steaming 100 page pile of pure fetid "awesome".
I've read that entire thread up to this point but I've been trying not to engage too much due to the state of things over there. But here is my small and likely incomplete list of verified bugs at this point. Please help add to it with valid citations. I don't want to put things onto the list until they are verified by at least two users who can state the issue clearly in a post. I will try to keep this updated but please feel free to rip it away from me and keep it in tip-top shape.
Tethering does not work in either WPA or WPA2 modes (but it does work in insecure mode) [1,2,3,4]
A2DP isn't working [1]
Camera focusing bug (that is known and is going to be fixed upon next build) [1]
LTE in Canada seems to be a common complaint. [1,2]
MTP not working for Mac users. [1,2] (Fix? Not sure if this is an issue with CM or AFT)
Picasa sync doesn't work [1]
Netflix doesn't work. (Overlay related?) [1,2,3]
Volume anomalies when switching between front and rear speakers [1,2]
So since this is the Q&A thread, I have two questions:
What bugs have I missed? (please provide a single post link as a citation)
Whats the best way to find out when/where to find the latest gapps builds? I always find them from fellow forum users posts but it seems to me that they have to originate somewhere and I'm less than clear on that process.

previously unknown bugs. but if 50 people are saying their camera FCs, saying yours does not either doesnt add any value to the thread or rom. use good judgement

How about things that help with development? (Note that it is in the development section of the forums).
Bugs are generally what would fit that description, a few verifications help, but 100 people saying "me too!" doesn't help devs.
A development thread is to talk about bugs and such. Not asking about the camera 1000 times. Or if the battery mod is there.

LTE problems
Hello everyone,
I just flashed the cm10 jb preview. It is absolutely fantastic. I have one problem, I can't seem to get 4G network status. I am currently stuck at H. I am on ATT btw. When checking APNs, I am using ATT LTE. I'm not quite sure what I did wrong and have been searching the original cm10 thread for an answer.

Are you in an LTE network area? CM shows your true network connection, not the marketing speak that AT&T uses. H is HSPA+ which on stock showed up as 4G. So if you're expecting it to say 4G, H is the exact same thing. If you're expecting the LTE logo from stock, then there is an issue as you're not connected to LTE. On CM, when you connect to LTE it'll show the 4G icon.
It might seem somewhat confusing but you can thank AT&T for that HSPA+ is not a 4th generation network standard, but hey, they called it that and sold it to the public because Verizon was rolling out LTE before AT&T and AT&T felt it had to compete. So rather than just get their LTE butt in gear, they fought a marketing war instead (sadly, this works in America). For more info... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4G
thanks

Oh I see, so cm10 shows the true connection speed? I knew all that about HSPA+ and all the AT&T gimicks, but wow, that is just terrible. Anyways, thanks for the clarification!

Legitimately LTE does NOT work yet. There is a toggle built in but it's constantly greyed out. I am in an LTE coverage area (Bell, boo ya. ) but doesn't run in CM10.
Thankfully, my 10mbps HSPA+ is doing the job fine right now XD

I'm living and working abroad when my old my touch 4G died on me mid-use. I have a T-Mobile USA sum card that I use for wifo calling to keep in touch with friends and family in the US. So after my mt4g died I looked at the phones on T-Mobile website that support wifi calling. Seeing that the s2 does I bought this intent on rooting and putting the app on it. I rooted and installed cyanogen, because I used that on my mt4g and it had Wi-Fi calling. However this version doesn't. I tried searching the development forum for Roms with this but couldn't fin any indications as to which roms do or don't. Can anyone point me in the direction of one that does? Or where I could download the app stand alone? Any tips or clues are much appreciated

I found a T989 ROM that has the WiFi calling I need. The phone I have is I9100 and based on my research has a different processor than the T989. My gut tells me that means I can't use the T989 ROM on the I9100, but I would love to be proven wrong. Can anyone clarify?

You can't flash the firmware on your phone. If you flash T989 firmware on your phone, then you can as well say a good bye bye to it.

Any idea how I can get WiFi calling on here? I'm not too skilled, but I would think there would be a way to port this calling feature from a 989 Rom. Or am I just following a pipe dream?

Since I'm a senior member in this website and I can't ask a question direcly to developers, I came an idea to post this thread. This past month I'ved flash and tried 6 different 4.1.1 jelly bean custom roms (Cyanogenmod10, Omega, Pure AOSP, ReVolt, SuperNexus, RR). I won't say which one suites me (because I must not) but I had an issue with the 5 of them. Sometimes the SIM's pin pops up and I can't make a call, asking me to enter pin. This can happen once an hour, or once every 3 hours and its really annoying. Tried to search for sollution in threads but I didn't find anyone mentioning any fix. I event fixed RIL (with getRIL app), when I read in a thread that made has something to do with it, but no change.
Has anyone the same issue, say with Omega 7.0 or Cyanogenmod10 and if yes what is the solution (if there is one)?
