Sorry but I didn't understand. What do you mean?

You probably have some damaged file apk in ext card or int, media server try to read it but without success and thats why media have that much % You can dowload rescan media from play store and shut down media scan, then see will that helps

Looks more like a failed download that keeps trying to resume

Isn't that the media SCANNER process? To fix that, format sdcard. Rescan media is not a good solution.
This is the media downloads app....
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4
Thank you very much.I will format the sd card but I want to keep some files so how can I know what files not to keep?
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
Delete all thumbnail files (including hidden) then backup to pc. Format then copy back.
Can't guarantee that fixes it though because that's media SCANNER we're talking about. MEDIA is the downloads app. You can simply clear app data on downloads and pull the battery for 10 minutes, which may fix it

Yes you can do that if you use dolphins hd browser. This is what you need to do.
Open the dolphin hd browser.
Then hit menu button and select more-settings -data storage settings-Download directory.
Then type: /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/folderName.
I have tested this and it works.
Edit: the same can be done on stock browser by selecting the default storage from phone to sdcard. It'll automatically create the download folder.

The data is located here:
/sdcard/.SamsungMediaHub/files
Not sure if you can have them saved on the external SD card. I downloaded and watched a few shows using the credit they gave us and then deleted the program.

Uninstall Gmail. See if that gets rid of the icon.
Of course after that you can reinstall.
Edit : If you can't Uninstall then clear Gmail cache and reboot phone.

Back up your data and factory reset from settings. No need to root.

Don't worry about the apps as they will be restored when you sign in to your Google account after first boot. Just backup pics and other important files from internal memory to a PC or external sd if you have one installed.

Hey all,
My walkman app doesn't show all my songs in the Music folder on my sdcard.
But when I check with ES File Explorer they are definitly there.
Any help would be aprecciated.

Delete android folder from your sd card and reboot.
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
didn't work
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
there are like 400 songs in there but walkman only displays 260
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
Go to settings, apps, all
Click on Media Storage
Clear Data
The walkman will rebuild the music list, but it will take at least 30 minutes before any songs will show up again, with many files even longer.

HI all.
I'm having a issue when syncing music to my phone that even tho there in albums, it's splitting them up so I end up with 3 albums each containing a few track.
Tried syncing by kies and by putting the albums in folders onto my external sd.
Anyone got any ideas how to stop it doing this?
R's
Phil

Most likely due to id3 tags. Check it out in a different player. If it does the same thing, might need to re tag your music.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Thanks for the reply,
All my music are mixtapes so that maybe the problem.
Just 're added them all and now my phones seeing them in some UN readable file.
It's doing my head in now-the one thing I miss about apple is the ease to add music to your device without a problem

Okay I Love my dna but I'm am so mad there isn't an SD card slot and all my storage is being used up by some unforeseen ghost. I have 10 gigs of storage being used by, "other" and u have no idea where it is going to. My best friend has the dna as who with the same issue. I have 2 gigs of music, 1.5gigs in my downloads and 1 nandroid (1 gig). That is all I have put in my phone besides the apps and app data. If anyone else has this problem or any idea where my storage is going I would greatly appreciate some help

What's the total of the bloat on the phone? I don't think it counts the bloatware as app data.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Dude, check the data/media vs the 0 folder. You probably have quite a few duplicates in there.

Yeah if you've switched to 4.2 or 4.3 from 4.1.2 that's your problem best bet would be to format your internal SD card.

No.
That's what I thought. So full wipe and then could I push my back up to my phone and restore it?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You should be fine doing that, also there is another way... Get a USB drive and an otg cable and back it up to the drive. Otherwise I would suggest using dropbox over play music, last time I checked when you redownload something from play music it doesn't necessarily download it at the quality it was before.
