Guys did some one try to check if xperia z ultra fits in to Moga controller ?
Update:
So today I accidentally find in Best Buy Moga Pro. It fit perfect with out any issues, is not very tight at all. Moga pro can't fit something bigger than Xperia Z ultra, our phone is a limit of acceptable size. The cool thing I got free stand for my phone (build for tablets)

I tried googling the max supported screen size, but i couldn't find anything interesting. You can email them at [email protected] and ask?
Oh I found something interesting

I tried it the other day and it would not fit. You risk breaking the controller if you push too much.

I own the moga pro and the phone can fit but it is very tight.

thanks man !
updated.
i borrowed a friends moga (not pro) .. it only fits if you pull off the micro sd cover and really force it.. hardly ideal since it means the phone is off to one side.. im considering getting one, dismantling it and then filing down parts until it fits properly- ideally with some sort of bridge to avoid holding the power button down!
ultra z moga pro powere. volume button
Hi,
Noon here. I have used the site over the last coupleof years I decided to register. Thank you for the forums and threads.
On the ultra and moga pro controller. The ultra fit perfectly. The question have is regarding a constant pressing of the power and volume button.
When I center the phone the moga pro forces the power and volume button down activating the "off" option and volume controller. I can opt out of both and then control the volume on screen.
Everything worked fine. Game played and I was able to open up other parts of the OS. Is it bad or damaging to the phone to keep the power and volume buttons constantly pressed down
I can't fit my ultra on my Moga Pro no matter how I try.

On mobile....
Im planning to buy a z ultra or a note 3, primarily to stream my pc games from splashtop as they are all working really smooth.
I have a moga pro and some questions,
1) arent all z ultra's the same size? how come it fits for one person and doesnt for another?
2) when the power button and volume of the z ultra is pressed while placing it in the controller what is the method to disable them? is it an option so I can fit the ultra on the middle of the controller

I'm using a thin case and it keeps my MOGA Pro from pressing on the power and volume keys. M XZU phone w/case just barely fits on the controller.

would you recomend this phone for the moga pro specifically or is too much of an inconvenience, I do like the screen size and weight of this phone,

I can recommend it since I don't have any major issues using my phone with the MOGA. You do have to keep it held in a little slant but this shouldn't be an issue when looking down at the phone, but when holding it up high the phone moves forward because of the weight. One member here mentioned he couldn't get his XZU to fit, but mine just makes it with the thin case.

1) all Z Ultras are the same size. My Moga Pro can't stretch that far wide. If I push it I am afraid it might damage the clamp spring. I also don't want it to pud hard on the power and volume buttons of the Z Ultra. In the end I just use the Moga Pro's tablet stand.
2) You can't. Use the tablet stand.
I got the ultra and yes it works n fits ok with the moga pro, also its impossible for me to touch this phone while gaming, the screen gets extremely hot are you guys having this issue or no of a workaround or rom ? Good thing i have this contorller.
One issue is i cant connect in HID mode to the moga universal driver, does anyone have this issue?

I haven't experienced a heat issue with the screen at all. The phone itself gets slightly warm when running intensive games but that's it. Does the issue happen at all brightness settings?

actually I was wrong abt this it was only a particular area of the screen, top right with power button facing up in landscape, its not much of an issue now as the phone is comfortable to hold.
How do things look like for the Moga Pocket? The first Moga, smallest and cheapest one without charging capability. I'm considering buying that one, but I don't know whether the Z Ultra would fit.
According to information found in the internet in both the Moga Pro and the original Moga fit phones up to some 80mm, though the Ultra has some 90mm it seems to fit into the Pro. Does that mean it fits into the original one? Haven't found anything about that online.
Oh and sorry for replying to such an old thread, thought it's better than opening a new one

It is not really named that, but I named it such:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=300492182439&view=all&tid=498928117020
Ordered one to try out. I want something to have a better control for games and Flash content, but VERY portable. This KB will fit in the zip pouch of my slim Case Logic soft case. Not expecting much, but $19 gamble.
Reports are the battery lasts quite awhile, but that assumes the model I get is what others have....

Was thinking to find a new BT Keyboard with mouse, trackball, JKey... But seems that this one disappeared from ebay... hope you are lucky and got the last one...
Can you post a pic of what this actually looks like? I'd like a small bt keyboard with the emphasis on small since it's something that I wouldn't use all the time but wouldn't mind keeping in my case for when I do.

I'm considering one as well. Been looking at this one as it looks like it also has a mouse control built into the upper right hard corner. On the TNT Lite build, so mouse support isn't there yet, but hopefully it will. It's close enough in price to the others to be a great value. Even comes with it's own case.
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.48849
I really do want something with a full size keyboard though, with a case and BT. Something like this, but for the GTab.

I purchased this Gear Head USB Mini Touchpad keyboard from Fry's for $29. I wanted to go wireless but since anytime using the tablet you have to be close to it, I figure I can save some money with the USB version.
The keymapping works perfectly.
Home key = Android home button
Windows key = Android menu button
Escape key = Android back button
Cursors keys = Android up, down, left and right
The touchpad works as any other mouse used with your G-Tablet. It's also multitouch. The keyboard volume keys, located above the touchpad, also work. It even has NumLock and CapsLock light indicator. The keyboard is 0.5 inch wider than the tablet.
Here's their website : http://www.pcgearhead.com/keyboards.php

@marianosf, what ROM are you running? CM6? I just got my GTab today and am going to put TNTLite on it as soon as I get home but would like a ROM with keyboard and mouse support (I don't know if all of them support wired or not).

I wanted something that fits in the Case Logic front zip pouch. I hope it also works with USB cable and not just blue tooth.
The keyboard below seems interesting, but would not fit in the pouch.

How do you like the size of the keyboard? I had a netbook I loved but sold because my bear paw hands couldn't deal with the mini keys.
Do you use the track pad often? I assumed I'd jut touch the screen when I needed to navigate.
I have an Apple keyboard I like and have been looking at this cheepo wire knock off.
I'm too n00b to post links I guess. dealextreme DOT com search for the sku "48597" - $18.60
@sharpfork . My keyboard keys are way smaller than a regular netbook's. If you look at the picture you can see that the trackpad takes away precious space. When I type I can feel my fingers too close together . I think I will return it and get one without the trackpad. Like you mentioned I can just touch the screen when navigating
The keyboard from dealextreme looks nice $$$, a black one would be perfect.
marianosf
i just ordered a well reviewed but cheepo keyboard from newegg. I'm still too n00b to post urls so search for SIIG JK-US0312-S1 Black USB Mini. I'll post some info when i get it. i might try to make some sort of case around it if time allows.

I got my Mini Me in. The device has a slightly smaller footprint to my Incredible (KB is taller, same width, but thinner depth than Incredible).
Good news:
For $18 delivered, it is a good build, light but sturdy, good key action and nice bluetooth range. It fits (and then some) in the Case Logic pouch and comes with a pouch, USB cable and stand. IMO, very good package product for the price.
Bad news:
It works with all devices I have tried except the Gtablet. The G sees it and a PIN window pops up and I enter "0000", but the devices fail to pair.
My guess is the this is due to me using TnT 2.40 and not Vegan.... correct?
Attached a pic that is a little dark and was upside down when I took it (hence the date is upside down). Servces the function though of showing size and KB layout. Nice keyboard, IMO. Fits perfect hold holding with two hands- easy to use thumbs to control games.
rushless, I like the KB as it looks perfect. It reminds me of my old xv6800 KB. Too bad it wont pair.

If I knew the Vegan rom would work, I may try it, but really like the stability of TnT 2.4.... bluetooth or not.

I got my BT board to work on tnt light (2.00) using the program BlueInput. I have installed the enable alternative keyboard mod, but it works without that by default once it paired and connected to "Blueinput". No mouse support though it see it and pairs with it... but tablet does not use it.

Figures- that app is not showing in the market for the Gtablet.
Well... I was hoping this case would revert my perspective of the Note 12.2 as a useable device.
First things first. The overall Keyboard functionality is good nice travel within the keys. I like the keys for cut and paste etc. My huge beef is the thing does not support the screen on and off functionality when the cover opens or closes. Now to my second issue, the screen and keyboard contact when closed. Though Logitech has bumpers to raise the keyboard it still makes contact with the screen when closed with little to no pressure.
Back to my earlier comment on the device itself. It is beautiful and I love the additional real-estate over my "original Note 10.1". However the performance is a disappointment and though I really like the new features I just can't justify 1k with accessories for an under preforming device. I am honestly surprised that my Note 10.1 (first Edition) has almost the same performance. I was really hoping the keyboard aspect would encourage me to keep it... for now I think its going back.
I would note the concept of a keyboard would be uber cool if it had a trackpad or mouse/nub. I realize its not a notebook but...

I noticed the screen touching as well as the loss of powering on and off when opened/closed. However, for me the keyboard has allowed me to use a RDP for our works server. Usually I had to use the on screen keyboard within the servers app. Now with the logitech, and a magic mouse connected at the same time, I can have a laptop type of device, or pop it back in to the regular samsung cover for travel/tablet time.
I was thinking of little pieces of felt on the keyboard where it touches. Little extra support. Over all, the keyboards added functions out weigh the loss of the on/off feature for me.
The keys are the best I have ever used on a bluetooth keyboard. If it had an integrated mouse pad, it would most likely need the usb dongle/receiver plugged in to a usb port....
I am loving the flexibility of this tab and accessories personally. I have to force myself to use the macbook just to keep away from the tablet!
I just got my Logitech today. My keys don't touch my screen at all. Yeah an auto on/off would have been a nice feature but not a biggie for me. You can turn it on by hitting the Home button on the keyboard. You can turn it off with FN - DEL keys. I was using the ZAGG but this is 1000 times better.

I love it so far. You can wake your tablet by pressing a key and shut it off using FN-DEL keys. So far I just wish I could program the shortcut keys. Email shortcut brings up GMail but I use Exchange Email 99% of the time so I need the stock Email app instead.
Question for the one who already received it. Can you type in different languages? such as arabic or any other language? I know the keyboard comes only with English litter printed on the keyboard, but can you test that for me please and post a pic for the result? It will be much appreciated. I speak 2 language so I have to use arabic and English in my line of work. Just wounder if I can do that in the keyboard

Regarding the performance complaints... I think most the issue is two fold... Expectations and Google Chrome. First of all I think we all expected a screaming fast and lag free experience. The fact is that this tablet is screaming fast however Samsung has continue to bloat it up so their is still some lag in the GUI. Frankly I think the lag is over exaggerated and too many make a big deal out of it. I've ran many AOSP roms on my Nexus 10 and S4, no lag at all but less functionality. I'll take multi-window functionality any day over zero lag. Would love both but it's just not an option right now... Second performance issue is that Google Chrome appears to lack some serious optimizations for this tablet. How and why this is beats me but Chrome is scrolling is disturbingly laggy. On the other hand Chrome beta is much better so hopefully we see these optimizations is Chome stable release soon. Until then I'm using beta. If you don't care about Chrome syncing then the built in browser is really fast but Chrome beta addresses 60-70% of the Chrome performance issues. Page loading is fast but still not as fast as the built in browser. Google has stated that they are committed to Chrome performance improvements in 2014 and I think beta is already showing this.
I have some apps that do some serious number crunching and can tell you think absolutely smoke my Nexus 10 in raw performance so I think things will only get better with software optimizations.
On another note I rooted my Note 12.2 yesterday and can't express how much better it is now with a few tweaks.
Root Tweaks...
270 DPI
Chrome User Agent - Chrome Desktop
Titanium Backup - freeze unnecessary apps
Enable additional apps for mutli-windows (Chrome beta most importantly)
LMT launcher for swipe home, back, recents, menu, etc...
Non root tweak-
Apex Launcher
Overall really happy with this tablet now. Was considering the Logitech keyboard but not sure now although I don't think the auto sleep when closed complaint is a big deal...
Does anyone else have this keyboard? I am debating replacing my 10.1 2014 with the 12.2 for the extra screen real estate and the fact there is a Logitech keyboard for it. If the keyboard case is great, it almost makes the upgrade a no-brainer. If the keyboard sucks, I think I am out.

Best Buy salesman talked me into buying one, he said it has a 15 day return window, so I thought why not. I'm liking it so far. Only have 2 concerns.
1) With the case closed, I have noticed that while i'm caring it, the tablet can slide off the rubber bumpers on the keyboard and allow the screen to touch the keys. This will cause the tablet to turn on unless you turn the keyboard power switch off.
2) I don't like the feel of the material on the outside of the case. The majority of it is nylon (or something similar) and it is a little slick. I'm afraid its going to slide out of my hands. Would be better if it was leather or even fake leather.
juat gor mine too from best buy. i agree with you about the 2 point. they keyboard will slied off. I like the keyboard and it is really great but I might need to get a screen protecter for it since it will slide all the time and the only reason I bought the device in the first place is so I can take the device with me anywhere insted of my laptop.
also I noticed that switching between 2 language is not functioning as it suppost to be. it will show that you switched the language but it will only type in english unless you go to setting and switch it from there. so anytime you want to type in any language and switch in between you need to go to the setting all the time.
Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
just a follow up to my comment above, I actualy have been looking around with the keyboard and found that by holding the Ctrl and prissing space it will change the language for you if you are using 2 different language on the keyboard.

Can you be specific about what you froze ?
I want to keep all of the S-pen stuff and and air-command(i think it is called like this..) and multi split.
But i want to disable all of the knox stuff and the flipboard style stuff since it doesn't auto refresh anyway.
Why would you change the dpi ?
I tried the logitech keyboard case, but to me the case put the tablet too close to the keyboard. I prefer a bit more space between the two. And it made the package too thick for my liking.
So instead I've opted for a regular neoprene 13.3" laptop sleeve (which can also hold my Wacom pen and a cleaning cloth), with this as my keyboard: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/bluetooth-illuminated-keyboard-k810 and this as my stand: http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F5L084/ When I need to carry it all, everything fits inside the sleeve (with the cloth between the keyboard and the tablet's back)
Works perfectly, and it's so much more free. I can now put the tab on a table or nightstand whilst keeping the keyboard on my lap whilst I'm sitting on the sofa or bed.

This saved me for returning the otherwise perfect case keyboard. It is very weird no one else mentioned this particular.
I ended up selling mine on swappa. Where the corner pops in to the case, right by the spen, the Logitech was taking some of the chrome finish of the tablet. I opted for the Samsung Keyboard case and couldn't be happier with it when using and closed.
l did like the feel of the Logitech keys slightly better however, but the Sammy one works great.
I was considering getting the Sony CyberShot QX10 and the XZU attachment case (SPA-ACX3). Has anyone tried the QX10 on their XZU? And if you have, what was the experience like? I have also purchased the CP12 Power Cover and DK30 Magnetic Charging Dock, and couldn't be happier. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to get this set-up for my Z Ultra?

Lol, that's a coincidence I've been contemplating and browsing information regarding the qx lenses and case today as well. I find the qx100 a tad too expensive, so I think the 10 fit the bill. I'm a bit worried about the lag and bad connection on nfc/wifi. However, I believe the 10 has firmare v3 now, so a lot should be improved. Wondering if it's possible to take action pics and if it's reallg 'that' slow. Cheers.

I'm using that case and I'm quite happy! Fits great with my QX100.
I think it's a must have if you own a QX10 or QX100 since the original holder doesn't fit on the ZU.
You can see some pictures here:

I have the SPA-TA1 for my QX-100 that fits on my Xperia Z Ultra. I like it much better than the SPA-ACX3. I hate taking that case on and off again. Plus it wil even fit on your power cover case if you feel adventurous.

Hmmmm, why would you take the case off and on again? Is panning smooth between the lens and the Ultra, like a tracking shot (lag wise)?

On my old SPA-ACX3, I hated the plastic feel of the case and the big circle in the middle made it odd to hold and type on my phone.

I usually don't use the SPA-ACX3 either, I only use it when I want to take pictures.
I like the original feeling of the phone on my hand but now I'm using a case with cover for my 2nd Z Ultra... I drop the 1st one on the table corner and the screen is gone :crying:
What's the quality of the pictures like? Can you send some macro shots so I could see for myself. I really would appreciate it.

Sorry to hear that, poor baby Z ultra hehe. The price is ridiculous for the SPA-ACX3, $45 minimum on Ebay. Do you know any place to get it cheaper? Also, does the app Camera 360 still work with the QX lens, or any other third party apps besides the original?

I bought mine on the Hong Kong Sony Store and it costs 238 HKD (around 30 USD) but if I'm not wrong Sony HK doesn't ship items overseas.
You can try to find a TaoBao agent of your location to see if they can help you get the case from TaoBao:
http://s.taobao.com/search?q=spa-acx3&commend=all&ssid=s5-e&search_type=mall&sourceId=tb.index&spm=a213y.6633709.5803581.d4908513
Regarding to the QX lens, afaik, it doesn't work with the camera apps you normally use on your phone. You have to use the PlayMemories Mobile from Sony (which is the camera app with a weird name) or some 3rd party apps with the QX support. Seems the Camera 360 has or will have QX support:

Ermmm tested with the Camera 360 Ultimate both iPhone and Android version.... I was able to find the Sony Lens Camera plug-in on iPhone but not on Android
So I tested the QX with Camera 360 on iPhone and it works but I'm not too impressed... nothing special... maybe the iPhone screen is too small!

Thanks for testing and it kind of figures. The Camera 360 app news was from last year and no news afterwards, so I guess it doesn't work on Android.
However, I have just received my qx10 and so far I'm liking it, it's quite snappy! Not as bad as many make it out to be. I definitely see more potential in this invention.
I have two questions which puzzle me a little:
- When I'm home on my normal wifi and the qx10 connects as well through wifi it's okay, but when I quit the app or turn the qx10 off I lose my whole wifi/internet connection. It's kind of annoying. Is this normal behaviour?
-I don't seem to connect through NFC somehow. When the qx10 is on and I turn on the app it just connects automatically through wifi, even over distance. In other words the NFC function seems obsolete, or am I missing something?

When I use the QX my phone will lose internet connection because the phone establish a direct wifi connection to the QX so yours behavior is a bit unusual.
The NFC helps you turn on the QX, launch the PlayMemories Mobile app and connect to the QX in one single touch. If you already connected once, then your phone will memorize the QX WIFI. Then when you turn on the QX your phone should connect if the QX it's the preferred WIFI.
So I guess your problem is your phone giving higher priority to the QX connection. Try to "forget" the network on your wifi settings and see if it will give back higher priority to your local WIFI network :good:

Yeah you're right, it does lose the regular wifi connection.
It turned out I didn't really know how to use NFC :silly: I've tried both connections now. If I connect through NFC with the one touch it is really laggy, but if turn my qx10 on beforehand and it connects automatically through wifi it's superb connection? How does that work? Is NFC a connection on its own or only the touch feature and then wifi, or? The connection quality is startling between the two.
Is the case compatible with QX1?

The NFC just starts the WIFI connection for you, nothing more, and should not affect the wifi connection.
Maybe when you use NFC your phone is trying to search for a QX and it uses CPU time so you might notice some lagging... I'm not sure, just a guess.

I have no idea but I guess it works. The case works for QX10 and QX100.
QX1 and QX30 should have the same locking mechanism.
I think it's better you check on your local Sony store and ask the staffs there if the locking mechanism of the QX10/100 is the same for the QX1/30
Just bought this fella a few days ago, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MUG3JPU/, and LOVE it. The silver buttons are pretty cheapy, but the buttons used for gaming (joysticks, d pad, shoulder buttons, etc) are VERY high quality. It grips my phone very securely, but its in the metallic Incipio case, havent tried without the case yet. Should still hold fine. Best things IMHO are that with the size of the Z Ultra, it is almost a perfect fit, just a cm away from looking like it was made for this phone, and the fact that the buttons are laid out like a PS3 controller.
It will fit a 10 inch tablet, as well, which is a plus (even though I just sold my Note 10.1 2014, and not just have an Onda 972 I havent used in over a year )
Attached a pretty horrible screenshot. Charging port is still easily accessible. Can even still use it like a phone in the gamepad, not like its THAT much *more* unwieldy haha
That looks so bulky. How is it for longer gaming sessions? IMO, the best controller would still be the official PS3 DS controller. :good:
Well yeah the Dualshock is better as far as controls go haha, but I dont have a stand for my Z Ultra and I dont like the screen being positioned in top of the controller so for me it isnt a consideration. In fact I bought this to replace using my Dualshock. I prefer the screen in the middle of the controller, PSP-style.
It really isnt that bulky when you hold it. my hands are average sized and its a comfy fit. For really long sessions it may get tiring, just because the phone itself weighs so much. Its about the size of a standard PC controller.
i like it alot
I bought this controller and I love it it can feet several tablet and it works great on emulators and some regular games
I bought the Tab S4 yesterday August 10th at Best Buy in Chicago (or its suburb to be more precise) and bought the Keyboard Cover since they have a deal on it for $80 with the 64GB tablet purchase.
Review:
Having just recently purchased the Tab S3 (I have a tech obsession problem) with its companion keyboard cover, I can compare them. For whatever reason, the Tab S3 keyboard cover is better all around, from attachment method to way you use it. This one is just terrible on every front.
Pros:
-Activates Dex mode
-The keys are responsive.
Cons:
-The way the tablet fits into this cover via snapping into a holder. I liked the magnetic setup of the Tab S3's type cover
-While it is clearly a slightly larger cover than the Tab S3, it feels 50% to 100% heavier. When the tablet itself is only about 10% heavier than the Tab S3's Tablet.
-The wrist rest terminates into a hard rounded ridge, so it feels like you're typing in a well. Where on the Tab S3 there is about an inch of rest there.
-Given the black color, and wider border on the sides of the keyboard, it makes it feel more cramped than the Tab S3 though they're the exact same size.
-Just like with the Tab S3, I wished there were secondary functions and a FN key, instead we get a lang and keyboard key.
-Because this doesn't have a home button and there isn't a shortcut I found to act as a home key, you have to swipe up on the screen to hit home (if you hide your navigation keys). Not the best.
-The texture on the case itself feels gross, cheap, and rubbery. So YAY, it won't slide around, but the soft touch feel of the Tab S3 cover feels better and more premium.
-There's a cutout for the camera, the Tab S3 covers its up. Living in a dusty environment, it just means its a nice new well for dust to get trapped in.
Conclusion:
They could have done better. I'd get rid of the ridge in the front since it hits the fat of your hand at a sharp and awkward angle, and I bet that would make this infinitely better.
appreciate the review.
in addition to all your points, i wish it also had more than a single angle.
Is it a good every day case? I have a Tab S2 (8") and the official case (the one that snaps into the holes on the back of the tablet).
Most if the time I'll be using the tablet out of Dex mode. When folded behind the tablet does the keyboard get in the way? Should I buy another non keyboard case for every day use?

Yeah, you do have a good point, but there are lighter options out there. Being able to literally compare both the Tab S4's keyboard case and the Tab S3's side to side is what made me annoyed with this years take on the keyboard case, especially since they really hit it out of the park with last year's.
I wish the keyboard case had an easy way to open and just lay flat. It appears it will lay flat but have the keyboard exposed on the bottom, or you can rotate slightly to lay flat with the keyboard protected under the tablet but several rows of keys are still exposed. I liked the way the S3 cover had several angles including one that had the device lay flat for reading.
Glad I'm Getting mine free through Samsung. Doesn't sound worth the price
The keyboard cover sucks IMO. I ordered an $8 magnet case and will be using my faithful old Logitech K480 for my typing needs.
without a touchpad this is a non starter for me.
I wrote a critical review on the Samsung store website. I wonder if it will make it past moderation.

The pen snaps into the holder if you put it in tip first, if it doesn't click it will fall out, but it extremely safe when snapped in. Dont have keyboard version, but same holder on book cover(nice case btw)

That's weird. My pen clicks in on the keyboard cover. Yes, it requires some pressure but then it just makes a nice audible "click" and I doubt it will just fall out by itself.
Yes exactly. That's what I'm saying
Thanks for the review OP. I was thinking of getting the samsung keyboard cover. but after spending a $1000 for my tab s4 256 lte Korean version. I checked my old gadgets box and I found my foldable bluetooth keyboard+trackpad. It worked just fine! easy to carry. works with Dex too!

I hope I like the Tab S4's keyboard cover when it arrives more than you do.
I have a Tab S3 with keyboard cover and, although its keyboard has great action, it also has many shortcomings: no camera cut-out in the moulding, no proper place for the pen, no closed cover detection by the tablet, and so on.
Samsung has yet to "hit it out of the park" with these covers. Even if they had designed it perfectly, the accompanying price tag is absurd. The only way the keyboard cover made sense on the Tab S3 and now again on the Tab S4 is as a freebie with a pre-ordered tablet, which is how I've done it both times. As much as I like the keyboard in use, I certainly wouldn't dream of paying €150 for it.

Just a quick note here - there is a shortcut for home. It's listed as Meta + Enter in the settings. It took me quite a while to figure out that Meta is the search key right next to Ctrl on keyboard cover, but it works like a charm. There's couple other shortcuts (for back, for displaying notifications), and there's a shortcut for displaying shortcuts, Meta + / (otherwise, the list is buried deep in the settings under physical keyboard). Note that this is context sensitive - the shortcut list is a bit different in Dex mode and it also shows applications shortcuts in certain applications like Chrome.
The only thing I am missing is the ability to change the shortcuts mappings/create my own.

Still waiting for mine but it has now moved up to processed
Sold mine, pretty useless for a $150 cover esp. since it doesn't wake the tablet or have a touchpad for true dex mode. Got a K480 and bluetooth mouse combo for $20 that works way better for DeX.

I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to use the keyboard (not in Dex mode). For example, If I try to type a question mark, it should be Shift+6 I would think, but I get a ^ like a regular keyboard. I've tried every combination of shift, control, search key (Meta), alt, Alt Gr etc with 6 but there is no way I can produce a ?. Some of the other keys work with the shift key but some do not.
I haven't been able to find any explanations or instructions other than the small pop-up screen in the keyboard settings. I'd appreciate any pointers as to where I can find the instructions.

Why would Shift+6 be question mark? It's '^' on mine. Did you somehow managed get French version of the keyboard or something? Mine has standard US layout as seen in the attachment here:

.
And yes, using different keyboard layout is kind of tricky - you first have to have it add it for on-screen keyboard (General Management -> On-screen keyboard -> Samunsung Keyboard -> Manage Input Languages) and then you can configure it for keyboard cover (General Management -> Physical Keyboard -> (choose your language) -> (choose layout) . Plus it's very limited, I'd like to use different layout for my 2nd language keyboard but can't do that.
