I'm a bit apprehensive, since I want games that will look good on this 10 inch screen and it pixelly abominations. Anyone bought anything yet, and have any recommendations specifically for the tablet?

Rebel is probably the best game on PSM, also have Alien Breed which is decent but none of the games actually, properly support a DualShock 3 controller. Some buttons don't work where others do
Would like to try some. But Sony Have yet to make it available through all of europe.. They advertize Playstation certification, but it's not really there..

I was browsing and came across this tablet:
http://mobile.theverge.com/2012/5/3/2995878/wikipad-3d-gaikai-cloud-gaming-announcement
It will have a quad core tegra 3 processor and ship with Android 4 and retail at a mere $250 with the gamepad. What I'm wondering is, could this be better than the prime, for like half the price? It does look quite promising and you can switch from 2d to 3d anytime, on any app.
I was set to get the transformer 300 but may this be superior?
Thoughts?

The article doesn't mention that it will be $250. But it would be pretty cool is some third party manufacturer made something like this for the transformer prime.
If you view other articles, then I'm sure the price is meant to be $250. Unless they've changed their plans...

bump as I kinda need guidance on what to do, wait for this, or get the transformer?
Sent from my R800i using XDA
if you wait for the best thing there will always be something better just around the corner.
from what i read its a smaller screen and might not even be touchscreen, i dont know i didnt spend a lot of time reading about it... basically its a cheap android tablet that supports 3d and has a custom built gamepad dock.
The prime or 300 are more like premium built tablets that support a hell of a lot more than that gamepad, bigger screen, and a full keyboard dock, however slightly more expensive.
My quesitons for you are this:
Do you need a tablet right away
Will you be using it for games, videos, music, internet, etc.
Will a keyboard dock be benifitial to you
how often will you use the gamepad
will using a bluetooth controller (like a PS3 Controller) be an acceptable alternative
Basically, weigh out each benifit and downfall of each tablet and based on your own use determine which is the best fit for you. None of us can tell you which will be the best decision for you.

Are you kidding?
It's a gamepad not a tablet. Should I buy a car or a tv ?

I freaking love this game!!! But I was wondering if there were any games like this available for our Android phones. And if possible, any that don't require as much hardware as my phone has so that my co-worker can play on his Motorola Cliq? lol
For a cliq? No. See my sig, I've owned a cliq, but fps games like that need multitouch, and without it he's going to have to stop whenever he wants to shoot.
I also have to give praise to studio onmars for making such a great game that requires little hardware. There are no games like this that can be limited to a adreno 130 gpu and still run fine.
Sorry

Oh no no no, I would also like to find games that will work for my Samsung Galaxy SIII. I was just saying that I'd also like some that would work for the Cliq, but since you said that it doesn't support multi-touch...I doubt we'll find anything else similar to CS.

EDIT: Yes, this game is awesome. It feels very much like a console shooter.

Ahhh. In that case, you definitely want to try out NOVA 3 for a sci-fi type shooter (much like halo) and Modern Combat 3 for a call of duty modern warfare 3 clone. Both require over 1 GB of storage though and cost $7 each. Amazing games though. (Worth every penny but $7 is high for an app. Your choice)

That's so funny because I was just about to mention Modern Combat 3. I've played N.O.V.A. before and have it for my Vita. Thank you! Those are great games to add to anyone's list.

you can download blitz brigade but it requires 1.10 GB of space and 2.3 or higher OS version
I'm planning to buy a new device this holiday. My first pick is the iPod Touch 5th gen with A5 chip (SGX543 MP2). Same with the current iPhone 4S but without the phone function. Then I search for an android phone under $350 and I saw this. I search all available benchmarks and it says that the iPhone 4S SGX543 MP2 is better than the Galaxy S2 Mali-400MP and Xperia Sola with Mali-400 is almost half slower than GS2
so iP4s > GS2 > XPSola.
The new iPod touch is scheduled for release this week so I'll more reviews.
Go for Ipod bro. iOS games are released way before Android. The PowerVR smokes Mali too!

+1. IOS is too proprietary.

I'd say go for the SGS2 if you're looking for a choice that's been proven by many, and go for the sola if you're looking for a nicer one to fit on your hands (plus you can use it with a glove)
i won't recommend the iOS if you're looking for something that you can modify freely
Come on people, he wants to play games. The best choice for gaming is iPod

Ipod touch without a doubt.
And get a Nokia 1100 for Phone purpose for 10$ lol.
Well, I suggest you buy a PS3/PSvita/XBOX instead for gaming, not many good games are released frequently for Mobile platforms..only a limited choice...while as complete opposite for Consoles
I'm suffering now because I bought Galaxy S2 instead of Xbox Elite months back only for gaming and there ain't many :banghead:

Wow thank you for all the replies! I didn't expect to have this many replies :victory:
SGS2 is great but its around $450 here in our country. I want to try the Android platform because it is open for tweaks and customization but with my money I can't buy a powerful phone with it (e.g GNexus / GS2).
And one more thing. Is there a way to download paid apps for FREE? Because I have an iPT4 jailbroken last year and I can download all apps for free via Installous app. Is it similar to Android? Do I have to root it to be able to install the cracked games?

I'm looking for an all in one portable device, PSVita is great but I don't like its features and ecosystem. I also don't need consoles because I have my laptop for games
Go for ipod touch..
cz i've try when i want to play a game in my droid, it's not smooth like ipod touch 3rd did.
it's 3rd bro.
i don't know what happen in that game if we use ipod 5th.
If you want a device strictly for gaming then I'd suggest you to wait until iPad Mini.

Anyone by any chance get to play with one yet?
I've been wondering if we will be able to customize what the buttons do or switch between profiles while using it.
My *ONLY* reservation about it is that it seems like a lot of the games it would work best for would be the ones that need it the least. I really like the thought put into the project though. The beeper for keys, left handed support, small size, multi use cover for it is all really well thought out IMO.
Part of why I kinda want one is that outside of games, I could actively use it to control my phone while in the car instead of looking at the screen. I just question how well emulators will work for it after seeing it advertised to work well with them.

Given that this thing Just came out, no one has any idea.
I can confirm that the Moga contoller works with the LGOG though, for what that's worth. The Moga Universal Driver does all the things you want, so I'm sure it's possible for this other controllers; it's just a matter of whether or not someone writes a driver.
I really considered the moga but the needing batteries kinda put a kink in my plan.
I really like the keychain design of the impulse though.
I'd consider the steel series if it were 40$ cheaper.

I've considered doing that but, I really want something more pocketable to bring around town.
Ps3 controllers are pretty big in size and not really meant to be thrown in a pocket. I'd be worried about damaging it unintentionally.
I have mine. As a media remote, it works.
As a game controller, I haven't gotten it to work on my Nexus 7. The devs are going to release a firmware that should have an android gamepad IME.
Has anyone else gotten theirs? If so, any luck with Retroarch, or anything at all without having to use GameKeyboard?
Don't know if you guys have tried these moga things? I got a Moga pocket today. .. first time I've seen one. What a cool little gizmo, it transforms gameplay and works really well on the note 3. The only down side is it doesn't work with every game, I'd say about 60% of the games I had installed worked. Even so, very much worth the 28 pounds I paid for it.

You have a link for it? Oh that. Never mind...
I ordered the Moga Pro. It is not as pocketable, but it is closer to a real controller.
Unfortunately I live in Bulgaria and I ordered from UK and now I will have to wait for up to 10 days until it comes.
By my standard it is quite expensive, but I found that you can use it with Windows PC with a program called ZeeMouse. I will throw the link here.
I got the moga pocket and it simply refuses to pair with my HTC inspire even with the pivot app. And the funny thing is it worked yesterday. Any pointers?
