Impulse Controller - AT&T LG Optimus G

Anyone by any chance get to play with one yet?
I've been wondering if we will be able to customize what the buttons do or switch between profiles while using it.
My *ONLY* reservation about it is that it seems like a lot of the games it would work best for would be the ones that need it the least. I really like the thought put into the project though. The beeper for keys, left handed support, small size, multi use cover for it is all really well thought out IMO.
Part of why I kinda want one is that outside of games, I could actively use it to control my phone while in the car instead of looking at the screen. I just question how well emulators will work for it after seeing it advertised to work well with them.

What's the impulse controller

http://www.impulsecontroller.com a kick starter project that met it's goal and more or less done.

Damn looks really cool worth dropping a couple pennies for the black one to test it out.

Given that this thing Just came out, no one has any idea.
I can confirm that the Moga contoller works with the LGOG though, for what that's worth. The Moga Universal Driver does all the things you want, so I'm sure it's possible for this other controllers; it's just a matter of whether or not someone writes a driver.

I really considered the moga but the needing batteries kinda put a kink in my plan.
I really like the keychain design of the impulse though.
I'd consider the steel series if it were 40$ cheaper.

what are these...

They are wireless controllers that you can use to play video games on your phone with.

You can use a ps3 controller with six axis app.

I've considered doing that but, I really want something more pocketable to bring around town.
Ps3 controllers are pretty big in size and not really meant to be thrown in a pocket. I'd be worried about damaging it unintentionally.

I have mine. As a media remote, it works.
As a game controller, I haven't gotten it to work on my Nexus 7. The devs are going to release a firmware that should have an android gamepad IME.
Has anyone else gotten theirs? If so, any luck with Retroarch, or anything at all without having to use GameKeyboard?

What would you do with an extra GSII?

Hi!
The question is as simple as the title. I bought an extra when i sent mine in for repair as i did not think it would be covered by warranty. It was however, and I dont really feel like selling one.
What would you do with an extra GSII? I'm thinking either as a game console with the TV and a PS3 controller, og perhaps something to do with home automation
I'd sell it and buy an actual games console.
I'd throw it at you for starting this thread.
use it to call yourself...
I'd buy some tech for it to work with. Like a samsung tv and internet lights and whatnot. Set it all up to work like a futuristic house. Obviously that'd cost a bomb but it would be so cool lol.

Learned how to compile a rom or kernel...
Extra sgs2 will be your test phone..

Well you could use the two to and delicately lean them against each other which would form a pyramid. While you're at it, you should by 50 more SGS2's and make a house of SGS2's.
I would probably use the spare to start messing with the software and combining features of a few different roms either that or hide it somewhere in the office and call it just to confuse everyone haha

def root and play with new roms etc! Im too scared to root my main device since i love it too much!

Force them at gunpoint to make love and have little baby GSII/III's

I was browsing and came across this tablet:
http://mobile.theverge.com/2012/5/3/2995878/wikipad-3d-gaikai-cloud-gaming-announcement
It will have a quad core tegra 3 processor and ship with Android 4 and retail at a mere $250 with the gamepad. What I'm wondering is, could this be better than the prime, for like half the price? It does look quite promising and you can switch from 2d to 3d anytime, on any app.
I was set to get the transformer 300 but may this be superior?
Thoughts?

The article doesn't mention that it will be $250. But it would be pretty cool is some third party manufacturer made something like this for the transformer prime.
If you view other articles, then I'm sure the price is meant to be $250. Unless they've changed their plans...

bump as I kinda need guidance on what to do, wait for this, or get the transformer?
Sent from my R800i using XDA
if you wait for the best thing there will always be something better just around the corner.
from what i read its a smaller screen and might not even be touchscreen, i dont know i didnt spend a lot of time reading about it... basically its a cheap android tablet that supports 3d and has a custom built gamepad dock.
The prime or 300 are more like premium built tablets that support a hell of a lot more than that gamepad, bigger screen, and a full keyboard dock, however slightly more expensive.
My quesitons for you are this:
Do you need a tablet right away
Will you be using it for games, videos, music, internet, etc.
Will a keyboard dock be benifitial to you
how often will you use the gamepad
will using a bluetooth controller (like a PS3 Controller) be an acceptable alternative
Basically, weigh out each benifit and downfall of each tablet and based on your own use determine which is the best fit for you. None of us can tell you which will be the best decision for you.

Are you kidding?
It's a gamepad not a tablet. Should I buy a car or a tv ?

Chamealon launcher

It was released today for beta users and kickstarter donees. Has anyone used it yet or reviewed it? Looks really cool.

I have tried it but it is very laggy because it is beta yes!
But it looks really cool!
Used it for a while this evening. Definitely has some potential. In present state, it's a little laggy and lacking in widgets. Great concept though. Should be very nice in the near future.

Price at launch?
I should have my i-957 in the next few days and will report on how it works on it. I was a bit upset that they didn't release the beta for phone devices, but what can you do?
I'm quite excited to be a part of the community soon! Picking one up to use as my main communications device since i don't use more than 5 or 10 minutes a month. Hook this bad boy up to a bt headset and I'll be golden!

I believe it'll probably be $5 like the kickstarter amount needed to pay for the beta/support.

Im actually connecing through a SIP service and phone out through GVoice. I spent a fair bit of time figuring out which route to go with it.
I have my tablet now, but won't be tinkering with it until tonight.
I'll be setting up the chameleon launcher this evening.
Is it working fine on P7300 ICS ?

Anyone bought any playstation mobile games?

I'm a bit apprehensive, since I want games that will look good on this 10 inch screen and it pixelly abominations. Anyone bought anything yet, and have any recommendations specifically for the tablet?

Rebel is probably the best game on PSM, also have Alien Breed which is decent but none of the games actually, properly support a DualShock 3 controller. Some buttons don't work where others do
Would like to try some. But Sony Have yet to make it available through all of europe.. They advertize Playstation certification, but it's not really there..

Moga Pocket

Don't know if you guys have tried these moga things? I got a Moga pocket today. .. first time I've seen one. What a cool little gizmo, it transforms gameplay and works really well on the note 3. The only down side is it doesn't work with every game, I'd say about 60% of the games I had installed worked. Even so, very much worth the 28 pounds I paid for it.

You have a link for it? Oh that. Never mind...
I ordered the Moga Pro. It is not as pocketable, but it is closer to a real controller.
Unfortunately I live in Bulgaria and I ordered from UK and now I will have to wait for up to 10 days until it comes.
By my standard it is quite expensive, but I found that you can use it with Windows PC with a program called ZeeMouse. I will throw the link here.
I got the moga pocket and it simply refuses to pair with my HTC inspire even with the pivot app. And the funny thing is it worked yesterday. Any pointers?
