Im sorry.

did you try to odin back to stock?

By go back to stock do you mean you just hit factory reset? Because that is not going back to stock.

Yes. I odin flashed back to stock I flashed the stock tar.md5 file for my phone I haven't tried factory resetting.

You should always factory reset in the stock recovery after you Odin the stock firmware.

[Q] Flash Counter & Factory Defaults

My USB port quit working on my AT&T G Note and I would like to send it in for repair/replacement. I had Clockwordmod Recovery and my flash counter was at 15.
I restored the AT&T stock kernel (pda-odin-att-stock) via Odin, and then the Odin flashable clockwork recovery file. After that was done I opened Kies and performed an "Initialization and Upgrade" and that took me back to 100% stock ICS with the stock recovery.
My questions are:
1) Is my flash counter still at 15, yet the stock just doesn't allow me to see it?
2) If 1 == true, what would be my best option at this point?
I appreciate it any advice fellows.
Thx
It is likely that your flash counter is still reading 15.....or more
but honestly...the chance of getting caught is slim at best..
we have no reports of anyone being caught with flash counter issues...
but if you must zero it out, you would have to go through installing CWM again, and flashing the counter reset zip file, and installing the 3e recovery again...
I honestly wouldnt worry about it.....g
Thanks

Just flash latest btu firmware with Odin and factory reset, then root it, simples
see now that sounds perfectly ...but what and where is a btu?
Here you go
http://hotfile.com/dl/201680722/c1fafcf/I9300XXEMC2_I9300OXAEMC2_I9300XXEMC2_BTU.zip.html
Unzip
Place in pda on Odin
Hit start
Be patient
When it boots up fully, go into stock 3e recovery and perform factory reset
Reroot
Job done

I would just flash with Odin the one I linked you to, that is the latest unbranded UK Rom, much easier and less hassle
Or you can try this ROM which is stock and pre rooted. You need to Flash this through Odin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1825272
That way you keep stock ROM and stay with root from the word go!

[Q] change CSC?

hi guys i want to change my CSC back to btu (uk) ive downloaded the latest uk rom and flashed via odin but its still the same can anyone help please
thanks
If you have flashed a full stock BTU then you should be able to go into recovery and it will reset for you.
You might then have to do a factory reset.

ODIN doesn't change data, so settings are kept, even if the CSC changes only a boot into recovery will activate the change.

Help with flashing tw rom

OK I'm on CyanogenMod 11 and want to try flashing a tw ROM every time I try it says device encryption failed and it wants me to reset and it doesn't work please help me out here, some info to help.
Twrp 2.5.0.2
And CyanogenMod 11 nightly
Please walk me through what I need to do and point me to a good touchwhiz ROM thank you all.
Can somebody please help?
Can you Odin BTS? (Back to Stock) and reroot that way? I just recently went back n had root and installed TW within 45 for the whole process. i do recommend the MDK full wipe one as you have to go into stock recovery and factory data reset anyway.

There is no "best" you'll have to try em out and see which one you prefer.
I'd suggest Hyperdrive or maybe check out of the ROMs Gogolie has ported over.
I'm not really a TW guy myself but have flashed quite afew of them just to see.

/http://downloadandroidfiles.org/download-sch-i545_mdk_562219_stock_restore-zip/. also there is a no wipe .tar file around, but i found you still have to go into stock recovery and hit factory data reset which ends up deleting your info that the full wipe does.

[Q] Please Help! Odin failed on stock ROM re-flash, now I'm bricked

So, I'm sending my Verizon Samsung S4 Sch-1545 back to Verizon for a warranty return.
So while help with bricking is needed, I really still need to be able to flash the stock ROM.
I previously had rooted my phone, and decided to flash the stock ROM via Odin v 3.09. I used the 1545VRUFNC5 ROM which is the correct one for my model.
However only partially through the flashing I get the FAIL message in Odin and now my phone is bricked and I get the message upon boot "Firmware Upgrade encountered and issue. Please select a recovery mode in KIES and try again".
I even re-tried using a different USB cable and port on my computer, that didn't change anything.
I don't know what to do now, and how to get my phone un-bricked and flashed back to the stock ROM with Odin failing. Per the Odin dialog box, it keeps failing at system.img.ext4.
Please help! I have to send my phone back to Verizon ASAP and I'm at a loss here.
Thanks!!

Thanks, that worked and it passed. So at least my phone is working again, but I'm having other problems now.
My phone rebooted automatically to the normal home screen, however I keep getting the dialog box that won't close out that says "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped" as well as "android.process.media has stopped".
So I'm not sure at this point what to do . Should I try flashing it again, or doing a factory data reset? All II'm really trying to do is take this completely back to to stock for the warranty return.
Did you use the no wipe tar or full wipe?

I didn't know there was a difference? I used the 1545VRUFNC5 ROM .
Was this a setting that I should have chosen in Odin? The TAR file didn't specify wipe or no wipe in it's filename.

OK so I did a hard factory data reset, that seemed to fix the problem.
I installed ES File Manager and Root Checker and there's no evidence of root access or the SU binary.
Sounds like I may be good to go with sending this back to Verizon. What do you think?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735172 that should help, remember full wipe completely wipes all data on your phone pictures and everything.
