modem_usb_suspend_block Waking Up Phone - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have done several Google searches and have not found anything useful to help me solve my problem.
I used Wake Lock Detector and found that the process modem_usb_suspend_block keeps waking my phone up and turning on the screen. This is killing my battery.
I have not found any discussion threads that offer a solution to this problem.
I am hoping that someone here way smarter than me (most of the people on here) can help me figure out how to fix this. It has basically turned my phone into a wired phone because it will not last more than an hour or two when not charging.
One thing that may help (I hope) is that my phone does not exhibit this behavior when it is charging. It only happens when running from battery.
TIA for any and all suggestions on how to get to the bottom of this problem!

x10 won't switch on

Hi,
I've just joined after getting linked to this site. Seems like a huge site with plenty of info but unfortunately after a few searches I haven't been able to figure out my problem.
I recently followed a guide on here for replacing the digitizer on my xperia x10 and I followed it to the letter. After re-assembling the phone it refuses to switch on and there is no response when I connect the charger.
A little history.....
The problem started when I dropped the phone in water. I know I have been told that it would never be right again etc etc but I did everything I could to dry the phone and for a couple of months after the incident the phone would switch on and display perfectly and the buttons would work fine also. The only problem was that the touch wouldn't work rendering the phone useless as I couldn't even unlock the screen.
Anyway, every now and again I would switch the phone on again to cHeck if it had made a miraculous recovery but no joy. After asking some questions I decided to replace the screen/digitizer. I remember the last time I tried switching the phone on a few days before taking it apart it wouldn't switch on. It simply gave out a few flashes from the LED. I put this down to the battery being dead and carried on replacing the digitizer.
The only response I get from the phone now is when the charger is connected to my laptop and I remove the battery, the LED gives out a red flash every 2-3 seconds. Although this doesn't happen all the time. Most of the time I get nothing at all. I must add that I did charge the phone at least once or twice successfully after the water incedent so something else must be causing this.
I have heard of issue with these phones not charging but I don't see why this would happen to mine if it wasn't even being used. The phone was only a month or two old when damaged.
Sorry for the long winded introduction and if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate hearing them.
Thanks,
Gav.
anyone had any similar problems to this before?

GPS Rebooting Phone When Warm

I was wondering if anyone else is having an issue with their GPS restarting the phone once the temperature reaches >45c. It's been happening to me constantly lately, so I tried to flash all kinds of different roms to see if something wrong with the phone's software, and it still happens on any GPS enabled app.
I did some searching and I read that one guy claimed SE released a batch of X10s with faulty motherboards which would cause this problem, so I was wondering if this is true.
If you guys want to test out your phone to see if it has this problem too, you can open up Google Earth and test out your GPS in there. Earth is pretty CPU intensive, so it should bring up the temp rather quickly. My phone will usually reboot once it hits 46c-47c.

Touchscreen Issue / Unlock Issue

Hi all. I know most of us if not all is experiencing this issue. Even other xperia models are experiencing this kind of problem. Since my phone is unlocked and the warranty is over, I'm trying everything that I can to solve the issue by myself. Sending your phone to a ****ing Sony Service Center is just a waste of time. The issue will only be solved temporarily. I've also read about charging phone for a long time, activating ANTZ service and cleaning it with a LCD cleaner but none of it worked. So here is the problem I have. Like most of us, the touchscreen will work properly after few seconds from the time you turn on the display. And this is not sometimes... everytime! And there is also a section on my screen that is not working even when the touchscreen is already working. So with this you will assume that my touchscreen is physically damaged somewhere. And now what happened when I'm trying to repair. Some of the things I've done is putting it on an oven cause I'm already mad with this problem but not enough to cook the touchscreen and wipe it with a wet cloth but still nothing solved it. Like some of electrical and mechanical, the problem is caused by something loose. So what I did is I tried putting pressure on the touchscreen on both sides. Done that to all corners of the touchscreen. And when I reached the bottom of the LCD, the touchscreen worked. Tried locking and unlocking several times and it is consistently working. Even the section that I mentioned before is also working so I think there is just something loose at the bottom of the lcd. But I still cannot find the exact location at the bottom. Because when I removed my fingers and tried it again, most of the time it doesn't work. At least I figure out it's somewhere at the bottom and if someone here can help in pointing out the section that is problematic, that will be very helpful. We no longer need to waste our time on the Sony f***ing center just to let them keep our phone longer than the days it will be fixed temporarily. When I have free time, I will still try to look at it again. I hope this thread become sticky because all of the neo users is experiencing this issue. Any of you knows the solution, please post it here. Forward this thread to everyone you know who is experiencing this issue so that we can combine all the solutions that we have and test all the possibilities we know. And if someone here who's expert on electronics, based on my trial and error, the issue is somewhere at the bottom edge of the lcd. I really hope we can solve this issue by ourselves. Thanks.
Any essay writing computation going on here..
Just desperate.

[Q] Help with LG Optimus L90

Well, I tried searching for this answer, but couldn't find it, so I apologize if it's somewhere out there. I'm VERY new to all this smart phone technology, so please bear with me. I bought this phone because it looked very similar to a tablet I currently use and figured it couldn't be THAT hard to figure out. I have figured out about 90% of it, but there are some issues that I just can't find an answer to; i.e. how to answer the phone using the swipe option. Sometimes it will work very simply an other times I can swipe til I turn blue in the face and nothing happens. VERY frustrating and I end up missing the call. Is there an alternate way to answer? Next question is what apps can I safely stopped that came factory installed? My battery is draining BIG time, as in, the phone can sit on the counter and be 100% charged and I can pick it up 2 hours later and it's at 80%. I stopped the daydream application and turned off the location option, as well, but I simply don't know what else I can turn off. I have installed a 16 mb external SD card so that I can have my photos sent to it instead of internal storage in the hopes that that conserves battery power, and have only two or three applications installed on the phone, as I mainly want it as a PHONE not as a game playing tablet, which I already have. When I click on "battery" it states that it's collecting data on usage and to please wait. After 10 minutes of waiting and nothing happening, I gave up on that option. And not to throw a dozen questions at you, but the phone also seems to be slower in changing screens. I also had it plugged into my car charger on the way to work and a call came through, but the phone didn't light up so I missed the call b/c nothing I did would make the answer screen appear! I have closed all running applications after using them to conserve battery power (by holding the button between the back button and the menu option button) and I'm at a loss for what else to do or what may be the problem. I don't know what rooting the phone is, or if that will even help. I don't know what mobile data storage is, but mine is turned on. The phone is only a couple of weeks old, so I find it hard to believe the battery itself could be the problem. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated! Sorry if I sound like a moron, but up to this point, I was using a Samsung slide with no games/internet/etc., so this is kind of like culture shock to me!

My tablet turns off by itself

Good evening. As the title says, my SM-T820 turns off randomly. I've changed the battery and installed several official firmwares with no luck so I don't know what else I could try, if anybody has any idea please tell me.
Thank you so much
Kind regards.
I've had similar problem after trying different firmwares.
My solution was to go back to stock wiping everything there is.unfortunately I cannot really remember my steps, just be careful not to break anything, find a guide for this.
All I remember is doing some painful steps with Odin.
Thank you, I'll keep trying, if it's not broken by now I'm sure I'll not break it...
Regards
Mine also keep restarting by its own .. and freezing and turning off .. then I can turn it on without a hard reset ..
I found that power saver mode makes it longing till it restarts again.
Did you find a solution ?
I also had this problem. Mine was overheating heavily and restarting, then again overheating and so on. My way to fix it was to send it to Samsung Service, and unfortunately they said that they can no longer fix the device since parts are not available. So I asked them if they will exchange motherboard if I supply one, and they agreed but offered no warranty for such replacement. I got motherboard from aliexpress and my tablet started working as it should from the begining. The other issue I had with "old" motherboard was really high battery drain even when tablet was not used. It lasted like 2 days without use, now i'm charging it approx once a week.
