AOKP Milestone 2 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone else experienced an issue with ROM, when you wake up the screen it doesn't turn on. It has happened to me a few times now, once I was trying to power the phone down using the power button. I held it for approx 5 sec and then the screen turned back on, but most of the times I have to pull out the battery and put it back in
My current kernel is dorimanx v9.32
I didn't do any tweaks, I just flashed the kernel and ROM and left it at that.
Does anyone know a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance

Fresh install. Format data, system and cache and preload then flash ROM/gapps.

[Q] Battery Problem

I guess it's REALLY a battery problem, but I might well ask
Problem: When charging(power off), battery icon shows up and then slowly fades away, the problem is when I want to check my battery, I press the power button but nothing shows up , I switched it on and it's 100% (that means it DID charge, but why can't it show when i press the power button ?
Are you using the stock rom?
Sorry but no
I'm using Nessy#hypnos 2 + Fkernel 17 + data2sd
So, let me understand, when your phone is charging while it's powered off, you cant's see if it's totally charged, right?
Yup , fades away and when I press then power button nothing shows up

And if you press any other key?
nope, just the power-on button
Hey wolf. You wipe the battery stats??

Yes, Wiped using thunderg recovery v2.1 (kernel need to wipe battery stats)
before using the FK v17, did you have this problem? its possible that FK v17 to be the problem...
Simplest method is to redownload the nessy rom.
just reflashed. no need to wipe data and cache.
just wipe dalvik cache..
after that you will have nessy rom back with the original kernel..
Try flash Franco kernel again. If problem persist, so its the kernel problem..
Bingo !!!!! It IS the kernel problem !!!
Just found out that the kernel don't have wakelock...
Thanks guys ^^
You are most welcome.

[HELP] Major MIUI Problem.

Earlier this evening, my phone was working fine.
Just installed a new lockscreen theme, everything was fine.
[Running 1.9.16]
Well, I noticed that it started to become very laggy. Things that were lagging started force-closing.
Themes, Messaging, Launcher7. None of these things ever lagged and I've had the ROM installed since the 16th. With no problems.
I don't know why all of a sudden it's started to mess up.
Well, now it's becoming a much worse problem.
First of all, I can't even power off, reboot or anything. I hold the power button down, nothing pops up, I release it and it just turns the screen off.
I wake the phone and I'm not even prompted with a lockscreen. It's just, where I left off.
I do a few battery-pulls and when it loads up, the same problems persist.
I can't do anything. Literally.
Well, I'm finally able to mount my SD card to my computer. All my files and such are still there.
I download 1.9.30 for the Fascinate and put it on my card, load the card up and battery-pull (since that's the only way I can get into recovery, powering it back on with volume and power buttons), wipe my cache, dalvik cache, etc.
Install zip from SDcard, choose the zip, apply and it sits there for a second and reboots, but it reboots to the 1.9.16 that I had installed already...and the problems continue.
What do I need to do? This sucks.
Also, I did manage to backup everything; Settings, contacts, mms, my apps, etc.
Ur not supposed to do recovery 3 finger on miui. reflash cwm4 fixed cm7. Three finger it then reflash miui

[Q] Atrix 4G ICS9 Beta4 Battery dead wont charge

Yesterday I updated my Atrix to to Beta 4 ICS jokersax. My battery was not quite fully charge at about 56 percent but completed with no issue. I went to bed had the phone plugged in and woke to a dead phone that will not turn on at all.
Notes:
When I plug the phone into the PC a green light will come on and say on for maybe five minutes then turn off. The whole time the screen remains black.
When I plug into the wall charger the phone will come on boot to the red Motorola screen turn off and just keep looping. I can get into Android recovery by powering on the phone and holding down the volume key.
Once in recovery I can navigate but I have not been successful charging or flashing a rom.
I have two batteries and neither one will hold a charge or charge when plugged in. Any advice is appreciated.
Try to flash a rom after formatting the system partition in Recovery.
If your coming from another rom you need to flash twice

I did the following and flashed the latest ICS ROM twice. The phone reboots to the moto logo for about 10 seconds then shuts off.
wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- go to mounts and storage:
1.format /cache
2.format /data
3.format /system
- go to advanced:
1. wipe dalvik cache
2. wipe battery stats
I would try a full fastboot wipe and then flash your rom. then calibrate the batteries
Do you have the latest cwm?

Fastboot says the battery is to low to use. I am using Clockworkmod ver. 5.0.1.0.
Other than a faulty cable or charger can't really think of anything else. Why don't you post on joker's thread...more people might help?

The last time i checked, no questions in a dev thread.
To OP, get an external battery charger, or get someone's atrix to charge you battery, than use fastboot again
I ordered the external charger below. This might be useful for some others. I also have a new battery and charger coming from ATT today.
I had to go back to the old blackjack for a few days.

Power button issue - screen on then off, needs to be pressed twice

I have since a few weeks an issue when i turn screen on with power button. It randomly, but many times a day, turns on and then immediately off after 1st press. All is ok on 2nd press.
I use ICS 4.0.3 LPG stock rom and kernel. Only Jkay framework. I tried to uninstall Jkay and restore screen libraries, but problem persists.
Anyone has this issue? Can it be an early symptom of power button getting bad?

[Q] Revolt ROM Display Stays On

I've been running the latest Revolt ROM for a few days on my I717. It has been running flawlessly but last night my display started staying on and the notification lights lit and won't turn off. Pushing the power button doesn't turn the screen off like it used to, but the power button does work to turn off or reboot the phone. I've checked all the settings that I know of and everything seems fine. Any ideas? Needless to say, my phone has to stay plugged in to a power source to stay on.
Rebooting doesn't clear the problem. Screen doesn't lock either.
Wipe caches in recovery
If problem persists, wipe data/factory reset.
Still there, redownload, rewipe and then flash the Rom again.

Wiping cache didn't fix the problem. If I have to re-flash the ROM, it won't be until tonight. Thanks for the help.
Also make sure you don't have stay awake in the quick setting tiles on I accidentally leave mine on sometimes.
mine just started doing that also, did factory reset... I go to battery it reads its charging, when its not..
