Hello guys,
I've got an X10mini (E10) (second hand but should not branded)
I'm actually stucked in a bootloop. It happened after I tried flashing the miniCM7 ROM with CWM.
I've tried the wipe data/factory reset frome CWM but nothing happened
I've tried the recovery option from my previous backup
Nothing
I've tried reflashing the Stock Rom (found in one of Xda-developers thread)
And I still got a bootloop (with the Sony Ericson logo)
Could anyone help me? =)

Why don't you try a repair with SEUS or PC Companion, that will get you back to original.
You said you did wipe data/factory reset, but did you wipe cache and dalvick-cache too (second one in advanced menu in CWM), because they're filled with useless junk from your old ROM, causing many errors.

Disconnect your phone from your pc
Start PC Companion
Choose Support Zone
It will try to find an update for your phone, but since it's disconnected it can't
It will offer a Repair link
Follow the instructions from there.

I see, mine looks more like in the screenshot below
You've got an unlocked bootloader right?
I can get you an original SE Firmware to flash with flashtool if you're interested... just let me know...

Yeah I unlocked the bootloader with flashtool (the log said it was done properly)
And it would be nice to get the original SE firmware =D (I tried one and it didn't solve anything but still ... what choice do I got?)

You don't have much choice i suppose, i'll give you the download link in a pm
Just download it, put it in the firmwares subfolder where flashtool is installed and flash it to your phone, it will take a while because it flashes everything (kernel and rom), but i hope it will help you

I saw your thread.
I also have an x10 Mini and got stuck in a bootloop (colors swishing around on screen). I rooted, installed xrecovery - what shows up in the screen is cwm recovery v 5,0,2,8. I unlocked the boot loader, flashed this Kernel using flash tool (an older version): U20_nAa-14_2.6.29.6-nAa-14.ftf I tried to downloand nAa 11 but 14 kept coming up, so I put that in the firmware file along with the stock Kernel. I forgot to install the drivers, but the flash tool said it was successful. After disconnecting and starting the phone "Ana" words not the symbol came up and the boot loop began. Alternatively, on start up, I can get into cwm recovery. I didn't save the rom or google app zip on my sd card as I assumed I could that after flashing the Kernel, but the bootloop makes impossible
My goal is to install Android Fire 2.3.
I would really appreciate any guidance.

Connect your phone to your PC using the usb-cable
Boot into CWm (you say you can)
Go into Mounts and Storage
Choose USB-Mass storage
You should be able to access the sd-card from your pc now and copy the ROM and maybe Gapps.

Worked like a charm!. Thank you very much. I went for mini cm 7 as it seemed the most stable. thanks for your help.
just need to get the sd card to mount and I am all set. Do you have any ideas why I can't get it to mount?

I don't know, apparently it worked fine when you connected it to your pc...
Maybe you could pull all your files off the sd-card to your pc, boot into cwm and format the sd-card (in mounts and storage), then reboot into the rom.
If that's all successful, put the files back on your sd-card.

What would happen if I select "apply update from sd card". This is the second option under CWM recovery.
Should I restore from Nanadroid. i s this necessary?
Could partitioning the sd card help? Thanks again!

The 'Apply Update.zip' does exactly the same thing as the 'Install zip from sd-card', but the first option only works for zip-files named 'update.zip' in the root of your sd-card, the second option will let you browse the sd-card and select a zip-file with any name. The second option is the one you use to install your ROM.
Restoring from nandroid, just fills your internal phone-memory with the old stuff you had in there, it won't affect your sd-card, other than that it reads the nandroid from that sd-card.
Your sd-card needs to be formatted with the fat-filesystem to work properly, so partitioning or not makes not much of a difference, only that the available space for your stuff (music, photo's, etc.) is less because the other partitions take up space too.
If you can flash your ROM in CWM from sd-card I don't really see any problem with your sd-card.
worked like a charm. many thanks!

In recovery, mount USB Storage then copy CM10 Rom zip to your SD card, Then unmount SD and flash Rom zip.
Well, nailed it!
Thank you!
first of all, sorry for ma bad english
i have sony xperia sola rooted.
i tried to install experience innovation rom via CWM.
i proceeded as per the instructions and rebooted the phone.
the sony logo came and booting images also came.. and it restarted
since then, whenever booting, it get stuck at sony logo.
i can access cwm.
also i can see in recovery>mounts and storage> that \data and \system are in unmounted state.
i tried to mount them but after restrating it automatically becomes restored
pls tell me step by step instructions
with love <3
I think you have boot loop. If u did backup in cwm before flashing the rom, just go to cwm and restore it. If u didnt, flash stock ics or firmware u used to have before via flashtool

that is nothing to worry about the mount section is nothing to worry about it, it's set by default to be in unmount state...
and try to flash the same ROM again and wipe the data or such as it is said in the flash instructions of that particular rom...
if still problem continues flash stock ftf by flash tool....
the boot loop is a very common problem during flashin and can be easily recovered..........:good:
You can get the stock ftf file from the Development Section ,,
Hi guys,
Yesterday I finally got to instal a new ROM onto my phone. I've done this before so my phone was already rooted and had the bootloader unlocked. I decided t ogo with Cyanogenmod10. My build was 4.1.B.0.587. I used the tutorial on cyanogenmod wiki and done everything as was said, step by step. I wasn't sure if ClockworkMod would be installed with the rom, so I donwload x-tools and isntalled it form there. Once thaat was done I proceeded to installiion. Everything went fine up until getting into CWM. I am now stuck in a boot loop, constaltly showing the xpera free project logo, then the screen goes dark and this all over and over again. So I searched the net and forums, but couldn't find any one with this problem. Most people either get into CWM and from there can't get further, or they turned the phone on adn after using some application theirs system crashes, but nobody seems to have problems with CWM. I can't get anywhere from here and have no idea what to do. If somebody could please help me, I would be very gratefull! Thanks

WTF... So I charged my phone first so I reach the recommended 85%... Meanwhile I redownloaded the CM10 if it wasn't a bad downnload or something, from the original website. Once that was done, I turned my phone off, turned flashtool on a connected my phone in fastboot mode. I then flashed the kernel with boot.img from CM, unplugged and turned the phone off, waitign for the logo, pressed the volume down button many times and ntohing. I tried multiple times, different buttons too. Still the same. What can I be doing wrong?

When I have the phone flashed with stock kernel I can get into the CMW recovery. Trying to install CM with the stock kernel is i guess not a good idea right?
EDIT: So I tried downloading CW9 if that wouldn't make a difference, but it's the same story. Once I boot the phone it just keeps looping from the logo to black screen, no LED lights up, nothing. What if I did a factory reset either from CWM or in the normally booted? Could that help in anyway?

Hmmmm...how many times did i have to tell you, you need to FLASH STOCK ROM first...stock rom has stock kernel inside it...flashing STOCK rom will factory reset your phone...it should make your phone like new...after your phone boot normally then you can flash custom kernel (fxp kernel) and boot into recovery using that kernel...then only then you can flash CM10 into your phone....

probably bcuz u used CWM located in phone storage & deleted it. happens.
to shorten here all, i advice u to use allways kernels (built in) recovery. (forget about xparts its onlx for locked bl ppl)
also if u want to go for a cm (10+) build try LX from here bcuz FXP is NO longer supported! they kleave us. also its very outdated/old/bad
if u flash (any) kernel CWM is inbuilt, so just reflash the kernel using fastboot (cmd commands) , then on power on press the vol up button moretimes!! to enter CWM (must work) i really advice u to use some LX build. (dont forget to wipe partitions bfore flash)

Okay guys, I'm really confused right now. I just couldn't manage to boot into CWM with CM, I tried many versions, none worked. I then applied the exact same steps onto LX and it worked perfectly, I was in CWM after pressing the volume down butto na few times. Now it's been almost a month since I did this and I wanted to change to a differet version again, so I wanted to try CM again, but it's the same thing, I can't get to CWM. Any ideas?
Thanks
there`s a z ultra which is not mine
i wanted to disable its soft key,
it was unlouck bootloader and root on buil 136
i used this app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2270198
i used it a bit, then i replaced original builed prop which i had copied befor withe the new one after using this app and then i rebooted the phone but it stayed on boot, i went to recovery and did 3 wipes but no result and then i went to somewhere in recovery and did format system, but now my phone stayed on ''sony'' and i don`t know what should i do.the phone dont power off and dont pass the boot
please help me
this phone is not mine
pleaaaase
You were on the right track there for a minute. A wipe wouldn't do anything, since it couldn't know that the build.prop you put back wasn't the original one. A re-flash of the ROM would've fixed it (without wiping).
- Press and hold POWER + VOL UP until you feel three vibrations. It's now off. Power it on again and see if it goes any further than the Sony logo. If not, power it off again.
- Power it on and check if Recovery or TWRP are still there. If they are, great. Restore or re-flash the ROM if you're on a custom ROM.
- If Recovery is not there, flash a boot.img that has recovery and restore/re-flash ROM
thank you sir
your answer gaves me a hope...thanks very mush
i did what you said, after first power off and on it couldn`t go further than sony logo.
after that i reach cwm v6.0.4.4
when i want to reboot system from recovery it says:
root access is missing,root device? ''no'' or '' yes-root device (/system/xbin/su) ''
my rom was original and had updated by ota
and i dont have nandroid backup
what would i do now?
again thanks and thanks
Well, you're able to access recovery, so you'll have to re-flash a ROM. I believe you can transfer a ROM to your SD card while in recovery, but I'm not sure. Or just put your SD card into your computer, transfer a ROM to it and flash.
Go to the development section and download a ROM like Dogg ROM or something and just flash it. They are pre-rooted and everything so just flash and you'll be done.
