That's the one-stop thread for your device. Though if you're having this much trouble searching through a forum, finding your device's section, and think that a general development section is where to post these types of questions, then perhaps you shouldn't be performing such delicate procedures on an expensive device.

I'm a pretty much noob but have rooted my S2 and now my S3 and so am not a total noob.
I wanted to post this question in the Hacking section but it says no Noobs - so, just wanted to try get an answer here before i post in the Hac king section.
Anyway, i want to update my kernel but i've searched and can't seem to find out if a kernel is specific to a phone version. I am in Ireland and my details are

I wanted to try Siyah Kernel and wanted to flash it via MobileOdin, which i have.

I whant to do this properly, but I don't know how...
Questions:
1- Is my phone the International version one?
2- The LPG (in bold) is what matters to the CFRoot, or what does matter?
3- The "CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-v5.3-CWM5.zip" doesn't fit my phone because of the sgs2 and LPQ?
4- Can you find me a suitable CFRoot?
5- If I put the Siyah insted, what shoul be the version?
6- Do I need to use ODIN with Siyah?
Please answer all of my questions

I don't know to answer your questions, but if you actually want to upgrade your software you better do it now before you root, because if you upgrade your rooted phone software you will lose the root.
Also the kernel is not weird. That is a stock kernel.

Hi, i just recently upgraded my S2's firmware to Jellybean that i have download from Sammobile, i would like to ask, now that i have upgraded my firmware via Odin, do i still have to flash it? XDA/Google search 'I9100G root', this has been covered here 1000's of times before.

You can do a search & read the instructions carefully. Follow to the dot & nothing will explode. Please take note, yours is i9100G model, totally different with i9100 model.
