whats the message shown after reboot? to downgrade simply download the desired firmware from SamMobile and flash it using Odin.

Signature Verification failed means that the zip was not signed or improperly signed..in CWM set the option to not check for signature verification and then try..

That isnt "unbricking" because his device is not "bricked".
This is starting to get absolutely ridiculous now the amount of people who are using bricked term faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar to loosely.

Your device is not "bricked", you just screwed system partition up. Just go into download mode and re-flash a stock rom or custom kernel via ODIN.
If you had bothered to use search button or browse forum for a few seconds you would already know this.

S3 has already unlocked bootloader from default. You just need to root your device, flash a recovery and flash a ROM through recovery. Easy

Root Issues

So as you can see I am a noob here. Noob at rooting too. Well I tried using Odin to flash my phone before rooting and now I get an error that says "Unauthorized actions have been detected. Tap here for more information."
I have the Verizon S4 and im just looking for some help on getting a quick root to my phone. TowelRoot doesn't seem to be supported by my phone.

When this happened I had flashed to NG6. Now it appears I took the OTA update and am on NK1. Is NK1 an issue for rooting since its fairly new?

Looks at https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ for your specific firmware, if there's no, maybe you flash the PD2 firmware on you phone, It's same device, right? Only build date change.

Flashing a old or new firmware build on your phone, no chances of brick, unless your computer catches fire in the process.
There's TWRP for your phone in the reserved XDA forum? Flash it using Odin and flash SuperSU system-less. CF-Auto Root does it, flash a patched custom recovery and flash root package.

Using Odin in default ways won't will kill your phone, UNLESS you do it in wrong way.
Read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-...ecovery-official-twrp-galaxy-s6-edge-t3354492
Do all steps in this thread, then install SuperSU zip package using TWRP.
Here just for reference: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/root-systemless-rooting-supersu-2-74-2-t3405772
Jump to number 5-8 step and please, don't put fire on your phone.
