This tutorial shows you how to Flash stock Firmware using Odin on Galaxy S Dous [S7562]
Requirements :--->
1. Odin3.07
2. Samsung Usb Driver
3. Stock Firmware
4. Official USB cable
5. Ofcourse Galaxy S Dous Phone
note :-> click on above requirements to download them..

Flashing Tutorial :-->
1. Install usb drivers on pc....
2. reboot ur pc
3. Download the ODIN 3.07 & save it in your PC and extract its content to Desktop.
4. Download the update firmware.zip && save it in your PC and extract the update file on your Desktop.
5. Now, turn off your Samsung Galaxy S duos device
6. Boot your S Duos device into the Download mode by pressing [ Volume down + Menu + power ] buttons on the same time.

7. now ur phone will boot into download mode ........u will see a "WARNING" like following pic.....
8. now press "VOLUME UP" button to enter into download mode :--> like the following pic -->
9. Now open "ODIN 3.07.exe" on desktop & attach ur phone to ur pc using stock usb cable.
10. When the connection is established with odin , u will be notified with the “added” message that will be displayed on the Odin interface, the ID:COM section should be colored on yellow or blue.
11. click on PDA button && select the S7562XXXXXX_S7562XXXXXX_XXXHOME.tar u extracted on desktop [file name may differ ]
12. now click on "START" button & it will take some time to flash the firmware ....
Note:-> DON'T interrupt the flashing process, it may brick ur device [ soft or hard brick]
13. U will see a "PASS" & "RESET" on ODIN application...

14. Ur phone will reboot automatically & u should be booted successfully ....

F.A.Q :->
1.) If the ODIN get stuck ?
ANS:->
Close the ODIN.
Disconnect your device from the PC by removing the USB cable.
again connect the device with pc.
again open Odin
Repeat the tutorial.
2.) If your device gets a Boot Loop [ boot animation agian & agian ] ?
ANS:->
Reboot device into the Recovery Mode [ VOLUME UP + DOWN + MENU + POWER ]
Perform a “wipe data factory reset” and after that “wipe cache partition”.
Then choose “reboot system now”

Just search 'Samsung galaxy S duos gt s-7562 Stock rom' in google and u will see a link from idroidspace.com, click on that and find your stock rom according to your country !

I upgraded from a phone from China, I put it in German software and no signal. The Chinese software was. I live in Hungary, and T-Mobile's.
U must download the stock rom for that device and select china as country; then it will be ok !

Either way I try, there is no signal. Any firmware do it does not change the baseband! S7562ZCMH1 only. Need help

Work phone signal, any sim card, but no Play Store and hungarian language...

I'm having a problem: I need to flash a different baseband on my phone to be able to install a custom ROM (if I don't I won't be able to call and receive calls or use SMS), but whenever I flash a new ROM the baseband won't change. I heard in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625200 that I can flash only the baseband using the Fat.bin file inside the stock ROM, but I'm afraid this might brick my phone since the thread doesn't have much feedback. And before you ask, yes, I'm entering download mode by powering off then Vol down+Home+Power.
I used the ROM (PMP Ultra) for a little bit and I really loved it, but I can't use it if I'm unable to use SMS and call other people.

don't afraid try it but take a back up of stock firmware before flashing
I tried to flash the fat.bin file, but it didn't work. Right before the phone restarted to complete the flashing I noticed an error message "secure check fail ID: 10 xc" or something similar. Anyone knows what it could mean?

hi , im up awake for the last 48 hours searching for ways out of what im facing ! .. no use ! so i thought someone here would diffidently got a helpful answer for my problem ..
phone info :
GalaxySII GT-I9100
PDA: I9100JPKG2
CSC: I9100OJPKG1
NOT Rooted
problem description :
using it for 18 months for no problem , 48 ago and suddenly !! .. the phone can not detect or read SIM Card anymore !
ways i have tried :
read lots of threats in here and did lots of instructions but no way ..and after making sure the problem is not in the usb cable or the sim card or the PC , and i know as a fact its diffidently the phone ( hopefully software problem ) i did the next :
1- reset factory data + format ( no use )
2- tried to connect using usb to flash a new rom using odin ( usb not recognized )
3- tried different 3 cables ( the original one included ) and 2 different PCs .. ( still not recognized )
4- tried Samsung kies ( not connectable )
5- tried to install AirDroid ( still not connected ) checked another mobile with AirDroid connected to the same network , worked like a charm ! ..
so I HAVE NO WAY TO TRANSFER ANY DATA from or 2 my phone EXCEPT THE Micro SD ( external_sd )
6- i searched how to flash a rom using SD , and i got CWM.zip but it always gives me the error :
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
7- i tried another way for a non rooted devices like mine using a file called ( update.zip )
same error E:failed to verify whole-file signature
8- i searched again for how to root the mobile with SD but all links and videos refers me to using USB and Odin which is not working in my case
so im stuck and not sure if im on the right track or not !!
note: im a noob , i used to use Odin to do all these stuff ! now with the SD card ONLY way to fix my phone , i feel like i have no access over anything
could any one here advice me if the ( not reading the sim card problem ) would be fixed by flashing the rom and installing a new one ?
if yes ! how to do that using only the SD memory ! ...

update : tried the CWM ( not touchable virsion ) still no use ..
Try inserting a different SIM card from the same carrier to se if your device is able to use that SIM card.

thanks i did sleep 6 hours , sure i tried different sim from same and different carrier , no use ! .. all sims working fine on other phones , when i try them on my SGS2 never works like they never exists ..
Backup everything, use nuke and kernel cleaning scripts to erase the device, factory reset and flash stock ROM. If you'll see no improvement, take the phone to a service center.

i guess if u want to root ur phone to try one of the rooted methods to solve ur problem
its basically an app that u install on your phone and it will root your phone
btw is ur imei intact?
ok now trying downloading the apk to my device , regarding my imei intact ! i dont know what that means ! how can i know ? if there's a secret code to dial to get these info for you that would be great ! .

the app only roots ur phone.,it wont fix ur problem ....and u do lose ur warranty by rooting

ok it seems u have a software issue related to modem.....try getting a stock firmware from sammobile or samsung-updates.com and flash the stock firmware
did u try to manually install drivers for the phone
there is a windows app called 1click root ..try that ...i believe tht comes with the drivers.
also dd u exit kies when using odin. (exit as in kill all kies processes).

i have my original stock and kernel backed up on my PC and my External SD , but i can not install them cuz the usb is not working on any computer , i tried install and uninstall kies and the gt-i9100 drivers tons of times for no use ! thats why i think the only solution would come from the SD ...

installed 1click to my pc .. but as expected , the usb still not recognized .. and i think the USB wont work until i flash the rom and kernel ! .. using the sd ! .. and i have no i dea how to that while the andrioid recovery <e3> is denying all my CWM installing trials ! ..

yeah it was very fine sense i got the sgs2 , and sure i can not do anyupdates sense this is not the original rom of the device , plus there's no sim card ! so when i click update , i get the no sim card error ...
do u still have warranty?
otherwise you will have to find a way to flash a temporary cwm.zip ...but ya i havent been able to get any of those to work so i cant advise on that.

This tutorial is for the LG L5 II (E455/E460) and shall work on other LG phones too.
Many thanks to @iulykenoby who discovered this method.
To start, download a KDZ firmware for your LG E460 (and other phones) from here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php
Be sure to match the phone with the right kdz!!!
1. Download LG_KDZ_FW-Update_OfflineFix.ZIP (attached)
2. Download USB Driver http://algmcdn.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00120120425
If you can't boot anymore, enter into download/emergency mode and skip to step 5.
3. Put your phone in debugging mode (menu-Settings-Developer options-USB debugging).
4. Change your usb connection type to LG Software (menu-Settings-USB connection type)
5. Connect your phone to the PC and install USB Driver. After the installation disconnect and connect your phone again (to make sure it is detected).
6. Extract LG_KDZ_FW-Update_OfflineFix.ZIP
7. Run B2CAppSetup.exe and let it install and update itself. You may be prompted to update your drivers.
8. If you've done everything correctly, you should see this:

9. Close the official LG Mobile Support Tool.
10. Open Notepad in Administrator mode. (Go to windows menu, type notepad and right-click and run in Administrator mode)
11. Open the hosts file (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc)
12. Add 127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com at the end of the host file.
13. Save the file. If the "Save as" dialog opens, it means you're not running notepad in administrator mode and you can't modify the hosts file.
14. Go to windows menu, type cmd and right-click and run in Administrator mode.
15. Drag Automatic Offline Procedure.vbs over command prompt and hit enter.
16. Click OK
17. Click on windows enable icon in system tray to turn ON then click the dialog box OK.
18. Click Ok.
19. Make sure Type is set to 3GQCT and phone mode to DIAG. Select your KDZ file and click Normal web upgrade test.
20. Click on Upgrade Start.
21. Click on Clear phone Software update Registry and then click OK.
22. Software Update Procedure will start immediately. It will take some time to finish.
After the flashing procedure, don't forget to delete that line you added in hosts or else you won't be able to officialy update (online) your phone and you won't be able to download anything from lg. Also, a factory reset may be needed after flashing to avoid conflicts with the old app data.

Try booting again in upload mode. If I remember right it's: phone off and both volume keys pressed then introduce the usb cable. if you manage to boot in download mode, you can try to flash again. you surely didn't select the right kdz for your phone. be sure of your phone model and search for the right kdz for your phone. If you can boot in download mode nothing is lost, you can fix it.

For root, the attached file should work (change it's extension from .zip to .exe). Instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337802
it will root with a chineese tool, but there you'll also find instructions to change it to supersu/superuser.

you can flash any firmware from any country as long as it is for your phone model. i recommend you flash a firmware that's not branded (for ex branded by orange) so you won't have extra software that will slow down your phone. on that website you will find firmwares for many phones. our phone (e460) received an update, that's why they are called "a" "b" "c".

I suggest that you run that VROOT program in a sandbox as it is full of Malware or wait till someone posts an open source root exploitation method.

I suggest you change your antivrus. On virustotal.com out of 43 antivirus apps only 1 found it as malware.

I and others used vroot and had no problem with viruses or such. Stop spreading false information.

I dont use or trust online scanners I prefer to use IDA and other tools to examine software. If you examine the software more closely you will find that it sends your PC information back to the author. It will also do an update check and install of the latest version automatically. It will also install an apk for a chinese file sharing site and multiple other files that he leaves in the phones system. I also rooted a test phone and it did root perfectly. I was not trying to scare people just give a little warning to be cautious when you install a program that has a primary interface language is not yours. I had no ill intentions just trying to make people aware of what I had found.

Yes, it installs a chineese apk because that's the root application (just like superuser). After installing supersu and deleting the chineese apk I scanned my phone with bitdefender and avg and found no malware.
You also can disable your internet before installing vroot on your computer, root your phone then uninstall it. Then you can scan your computer with any antivrus and antispyware software you want and you won't find a trace of Vroot. Before saying it's full of malware, you should prove it. I just proved with 43 antiviruses that it has no malware and all you're saying is you don't trust them. I also offered a solution to avoid sending information about your computer, IF that was the case. Also, using a sandbox just like you said is also ok.

Hello guys! My coumputor died while I was flashing new ROM and now my hard bricked. I can try and flash again but it gives me enable dram failed 4032 error. Is there any fix for this or is my phone gone?

Hello guys! My coumputor died while I was flashing new ROM and now my hard bricked. I can try and flash again but it gives me enable dram failed 4032 error. Is there any fix for this or is my phone gone?

Your phone is not hard bricked.
Hard brick means that your motherboard is faulty.
Your phone is soft bricked. You can try to reflash, the same procedure, but when you connect the phone press the small red button for 20 secconds.
If its not working, try to reinstall the drivers.
Try and see what is going on!

Then i went to flash stock rom.. i download flash tool and installed all driveres ... i run flash tool and start to flashing rom. Rom file name is: p780_row_s124_140403_rooted_twrp_gapps
After flashing is finished ...my phone is stuck. No power, display is black(no light), no led blink when i connect to charger - nothing.
If i connect phone to pc, phone showing red led light and in device manager on pc it showin me phone like USB Serial device (com6) or MediaTek USB Port(com5) on windows7 ...no more mt6589.
What i do wrong?

Hi. To do a good job you must tell us what firmware do you want to install: KitKat(Android 4.4.2) or JellyBean(Android 4.2.2).
After that you must know what kind of firmware Stock or Custom.
Or... do you want to start your phone again.
I need one picture of your phone box with stickers on it! There you will see when your phone is made.
This are 2 kinds of phones: made after 03.2014 or before 03.2014.
For those made after 03.2014 you must use a diferent preloader.
I think this is what happent to your phone.
Flash procedure is the same but you must change the preloader.

This firmware is KitKat, based on CN firmware. It have GAPPS and is ROOTED.

Good firmware too. It have custom recovery TWRP and GAPPS. ROOTED too. It is KITKAT.

Phone year is 2013 ... i thought that my phone is ROW so i flash ROW rom(from this thread link) ...maybe that cause phone brick?

I could flash the LIFE ROM for Lenovo P780 (used the china version) but then my 2g signal. I fixed that by flashing new baseband. But now I have a new problem whenever i want to flash a new ROM it dosent work only LIFE ROM works (i have to reflash it everytime)
How did u flash baseband? I constantly receive the same error when i try flash ROM...no progress :/

Baseband must be flashed from custom recovery like TWRP or CWM.
For flashng firmware check the drivers... what windows do you use ?
My display not working, so flashing through rcvy is not an option for me :/
...I use w10 on my pc, and w7 on my laptop...

So... your phone is sofbrick! You need to flash again one firmware.
On windows 7 you must install the drivers!

Dosnt work : Today i fresh instal w7 and all drivers like u sad but no.
After i installed all drivers, device manager recognizes my phone like device MTK USB Port( no more like MT65.. - same problem).. btw phone reconnect every 15 seconds ...uh

So... I think your phone is in some kind of bootloop.
Try to change your phone for at least 3 hours. Try again after.

@stympy, i read on some Chinese forum that after formatting device(using FlashT) is possible to flash preloader.. but it is risky ... What do u think?

***SmartSwitch Method - No Longer Works
1. Go to Samsung Smart-Switch Here...
2. Download smart switch, open it and hit emergency recovery, then device initialization, enter "SM-XXXX" or whatever is after S_-____ and hit search...
In my case I put SM-N930FD, that's my Phone - Enter all CAPS ON...
3. Enter S/N on the back of the phone... Smart switch will try to fetch the ROM if available...
4. It will tell you that everything will be deleted and sign-out from google accounts... but you can't do anything so just proceed...
5. Then it will ask you to enter to the Download Mode or Odin Mode ( Vol Down + Home + Power ), continue ( Vol Up ) and connect your phone via USB to the PC...
6. Smart switch will start downloading the Image to Wipe the phone and reinstall the ROM again...
Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot of this as I already have done all these steps... but it's nothing but a small window showing progress of download and install...
7. Leave the phone, Don't play with your PC... You can Pray or go do something good so that when you're back, the phone would be fresh as if you just bought it...

It will take time but Hopefully, it fixes your phone as it did to mine...

I am still new to XDA and I wished to help those who bricked their phone...
When I bricked my phone, I was so sad that I'd have to wait for loooong time till I am able to fix it....
So I have done a bit of research if it's possible to do it through Samsung SmartSwitch,
after all when you boot your bricked phone it tells you use smartswitch or contact service center...
when I fixed my phone, I felt relieved and Wished to share my discovery to make those who bricked their phone relieved as well...
So I put the thread here...
If the admins see that the thread should be put in the Guides Section, then hopefully they'd tell me how to move it there...

SmartSwitch Works with All Samsung Note 7 Phones and it's the safest tool to unbrick your phone...
The thing I noticed about SmartSwitch is it's case sensitive and the S/N at the back of your phone is tricky to the eye as it's small and light reflected easily could make you input it wrongly...
Revise what you Entered, better write it on the paper and count the characters...
The only error it would display is something like "Your phone is not supported yet" or "phone software not available" if your input is correct...
As I understand, you are stuck at step 3...
Please let me know if you still have issues, I'll do my best to help you...

None taken, The reason I use colors is to highlight the important words in my post or reply... :angel:
Anyway, It will wipe your phone clean and re-install the phone software ( Recovery + ROM + Partitions.... Anything that got corrupted but not Odin or download mode)
So yes it will fix the missing recovery & The Phone will be as if you have just bought it... :good:

I tried several times with several computers and still wont worki think i can never get passed the logo to be honest it lets me go in dowmload mode but cant flash anything anymore no recovery im not sure what do to with my phone now

The latest firmware... But without patch updates... You'll have to update it yourself... Just 200MB...

when you input the S/N, it locates the phone region, it searches for the latest firmware and installs it... Not the exact firmware that originally came with the device,
if say 6.X.X update rolled out then smartswitch will install that instead of the 6.0.1...
Patch Updates are done through the phone, they don't change firmware version...

If you're sure of S/N... Are you sure of the Model...? Remember I said case sensitive, meaning Uppercase... Else Reinstall SmartSwitch or Try another PC...

Download J730F Firmware
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.12.7
Extract Odin ZIP file
Open Odin v3.12.7
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA

Flash the original rom and everything will be fine.
And with the twrp you need to be very carefully at th instructions.

the firmware didn't work for me, Odin kept giving the error: Complete(write) operation failed. I tried several versions of Odin, tried to remove the sdCard and SIM, tried to change the cable and usb port, nothing worked.
Downloaded the firmware from SamMobile and it worked like a charm.

Please download the proper firmware in sammobile.com don't rely on this firmware. Choose the rom based on your country to avoid getting those unknown imei errors etc.

Same is true with this one. Go to the website that I mentioned under firmware search j730x (change x depending on the letter of your original/stock rom) just enter it choose your country sometimes it comes also with the specific carrier for the phone then download the rom. As I have said don't rely on the uploaded rom here cause it might it to certain issues about your network. BTW you need an account before downloading those firmware but its worth it.
Where can i check which is the correct firmware for my phone. Baltic or nordic countries? I'm from finland.
What's the logic behind posting official firmware links on xda? All of them are on websites like sammobile, along with proper instructions.
Anyone have a clear cut way to restore a hacked account? I've flashed 7.1.1 stock via ODIN however I'm still getting the FDR account issue. All my searches have not turned up a clear cut way to reset the FDR from google. I've tried flashing FDR files, to no avail. I've also ordered a OTG USB so I can try the "samsung bypass google verify.apk" method, but that won't arrive until Monday sometime. I thought by flashing the bootloader would do it, but not finding a reliable download source. I'm even looking to downgrade to 6.x.x but that too seems to require the correct bootloader files which again I'm not finding. Any other ideas, maybe a solid walk though? Thanks in advance.
