[Q] Is installing new android operating system on smartphone manually possible? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought a new samsung s4 last month.I downloaded an uninstaller from play store.Maybe by mistake i uninstalled some system file to decrease internet data usage and my phone showed error messages.I quickly reinstalled somee uninstalled system apps using the backup files made by the backup data stored by the uninstaller program.but the error messages stated to increase.i removed my battery and when i opened the s 4 again it only kept on showing the opening message of "SAMSUNG" with some sound.what to do.plz help:crying::crying::crying:
I also did the system restore/factory reset option by using power+vol up key but it did't help.i cleared user data also. What to do now?
help me plz! I am in big trouble:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
can i reinstall new os manually????? :silly::crying:

I assume you are rooted and uninstalled system apps, if this is the case a factory reset won't help.
Boot to download mode and flash back to stock with Odin or hiemdall, you'll find all the files you need in the s4 forum or simple Google searches

Market not downloading apps

Hi guys. I guess ive screwed up. Am no pro to custom roms and stuff all I can do and always do is root my mobile and use link2sd for extra downloading and delete unnecessary apps like wisepilot and stock demo games.
The issue is with my market it has updated, and I downloaded a number of apps via it this evening. But from the past few hours its not getting started. When trying to download the message appears (starting download) but doesn't. Ive reinstalled the googleapp via flashtools via rootmanager, reinstalled by the option via link2sd, restored my backup via xrecovery, deleted the cache, but none of these worked. Please help.

[Q] Insufficient storage space message on rooted s2

All,
I am really struggling to help my mate. I rooted his s2 and installed super nexus 4.2.2 on it a few weeks ago. Installation went fine and it works no problem but he kept getting insufficient storage space issues. I went into recovery mode and wiped the cache through there still no joy. I've searched for the wifi log file using root explorer no joy there. We have resorted to moving most of the apps to sd card and still getting issues. The thing that is frustrating me is that the storage available is nearly 16gb on the internal sd. Is there any way to edit the android system partition size as I think this would solve it?
Regards
Grant
have you tried a factory reset it may work
do you get this error while downloading apps from google play?
Yes, it started when the apps try to update. Already done a factory reset and doesn't help unfortunately. I think it could be that issue with Google play but I couldn't locate the file to delete it. Sorry I sound a bit vague but it's been a couple of weeks and my mate is totally useless when it comes to using Android other than the basic functions so it's a job trying to remember exactly what I viewed to attempt to solve it.
Cheers

1) try deleting Data/cache of 'Google play stores' and 'Google service framework' apps, then reboot ur phone and check.
2) if issue persists then remove ur 'Google a/c' then reboot ur phone and then re-login and see
Also it could be a .odex file casung the error message to appear.
To remove this, go to /data/app in file explorer and remove any .ODEX files of the apps you're trying to update/install
We have tried removing odex files and there aren't any on the phone. He tried clearing the cache and data and now gets the dreaded no connection error on play store any ideas?

[Q] Using App in Bluestack

hello friends,i want you to help me.
I have installed bluestack and its rooted.I have installed an application "moolah" its an Indian app which gives recharges for the app downloads.
Now i want to completely delete it and also the apps i have downloaded from it,so that i can use the app like new and exploit it again.
steps i have tried:
1. normal uninstall with clear cache and data
2.searching for the app name in directory and removing some files which were not removed during uninstall
3.clearing the browser history(as it uses the tracking system to detect if the app is being downloded from moolah)
the only solution that worked for me is the BSmulti tool V1.21,but it takes a lot of time to reset BS and run again and register google id and stuff.
So basically i am looking for somebody to help me uninstall the apps moolah and the apps downloaded from it completely without using hard reset on BSmulti tool.
Any help will be appreciated, please ask more questions if more information is needed. Thanks in advance

deleted system files

Hello everyone
I have a huawei y600 with 4.2.2 system in
I downloaded an app to delete some unwanted apps preinstalled like google music but i also deleted some system apps accidentally.
My phone works but i get the 110 error when trying install an app also on system all apps appear in 0mb
The worst is my phone is not recognized by pc
Tried factory reset and back up restore but nothing.
Also i cant uninstall nothing

Please HELP!!

I hope somebody read this, I got a some specific trouble with my phone, I got a Samsung Galaxy A5, with Android 4.4.4 KitKat ( I know it's too old), I can't use Google play store anymore, so I must to look and download APK files from the web (APKpure, APKmirror, etc,). The trouble I got it's not exactly with my phone, it's with some app I downloaded from the web, the app is WaveEditor it's an audio editing app (The app is Pro Unlocked). I downloaded the file and I uploaded to virustotal.com, to know if the file had a virus, 60 antivirus told me the file is clean, so I installed in my phone and everything was alright, I use the app and any trouble, but some days after using the app I saw the info app, and I surprised myself, the app told me the space occupied was 512GB, (I couldn't taked a screenshot) it is ridiculous because of my phone got 16GB and 2GB the SD card, so after to see that I tryed to deleted the data of the app but no happens anything I tryed to uninstall the app but the phone restartg one's own. I don't open the app again. So I want to know if the app is the trouble or it's a trouble of my phone.
Go into safe mode and uninstall app. Is it set as a system Administrator?
If that fails, factory reset.
If that fails it may need to be reflashed.
Just because an app is clean when you install it doesn't prevent it from downloading its payload latter. Kitkat is vulnerable to some nasty rootkits that can worm their way out of the user partition ie Xhelper. Best to firewall block apps that don't need internet access and don't allow them to update. Karma Firewall works very well doing this.
