So as Wifi was not working on my Xperia u for team canjica's cm 10.+
I decided to install Miui5. but i did a stupid move, without copying the .zip of miui, i went into cvm and format /system, clear data, clear cache, clear dalvik cache, and tried to reboot but nothing happened.
So i went into choose zip from sdcard, and cm10.1.zip was there, but when I tried to install it i got an error saying
E: Error in /sdcard/cm10.1..*big name* kumquat.zip
And the installation aborted.
Now i cant startup my phone, cant flash anyother ram, im pretty scared.. what should i do? Please Help me..
You can flash stock sony rom using flashtool.
So i enter in flash mode and flash generic ftf ?
Before you flash you should do a backup, I am sure you will next time :d
Yes just flash FTF preferrably one you flashed before.
Yes, that's the way.

Hei guys,
I've got a big problem. I just tried to install xperia nxp nxt to my mini pro, but i made big mistakes. I wiped /system, /cache , /data, /dalvik cache. Then i installed zip and now i think i've destroyed my device.
It stucks at "Sony Ericsson", i can't enter cwm recovery or fastboot mode for flashing again. If i plug in the comupter, theres the sound that windows makes, but flashtool doesn't recognice my device.
HAVE I DESTROYED IT
Pls help me!!
Mihahn
You haven't destroyed it, you can restore to stock rom with PC Companion. If you made a backup with CWM, keep it on your SD card (and save it to your PC for safety)... then restore to stock with PC Companion, then root your device and install CWM... and then you can restore to your backup.
Reinstall stock firmware.
Also, Xperia UXP NXT is a modification, do not wipe(you can wipe cache and dalvik cache, but nothing more!) as it is not the whole ROM, it includes only modified files.
Ok fixed it with flashtool, because i managed to enter recovery menu.
How have i got to install the new ui? I mustn't delete anything of the normal system, only install zip and nothing delete first?
Thx for your help
Ok made it thx for your help!
Just press the "thanks" button
Hey! can you tell me how did you manage to go into cwm cuz i think i made the same mistake
I have a problem with instalation of CM9 on my SE Wt19i.
I downloaded .zip file to my sdcard, restarted phone and get to recovery, then I performed factory reset, wiped cache/ dalvik cache. Then I found cm9.zip file in my sdcard and tryied to flash it but after a few seconds I get error writing "Status 7".
What is this? How to fix it? I really want to try stable cm9...

My friend,I would like to know the proper steps for this installation.
As mentioned on the Avatar Rom forum page,I installed it right in the same way.I would like to know whether this rom requires any prerequisites like:some roms can be installed only if we are on STOCK Gingerbread(rooted and locked/unlocked) or on STOCK ICS(rooted and locked/unlocked) .Or do i need to install some other version of Cyanogenmod and then boot into recovery(cwm) and install?
You mentioned about flashing kernel for the rom.I flashed the boot.img which is included in the zip.But i got the Freexperia boot animation, and not the avatar bootanimation. Please help in all the above issues i mentioned. And yes, before i forget i would like to tell you that i flashed this boot.img and i got thekernel installed successfully(I think so,because through this bootanimation,i was able to go to cwm). But i got the same errors when i tried to installed this rom.I know that you are more experianced memers,so what you are saying maybe true. But on AVATAR ROM Page, they did not tell to flash kernel. Please help.

hi! so when you install kernel (fxp,nAa,Mesa) it will show their boot animation and that is ok so you can use any of those and more, when you boot into recovery (this will delete all your stuff on internal memory)
-wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, then go to mounts and storage and wipe system, and then advanced and wipe dalvik cache.
-install your rom (if you dont have it on sd card go to mounts and storage and mount and mount usb storage)
-after you installed reboot system
and that should be it, but i went to avatar forum and it is only for mini? can you link it? And did you unlock bootloader?
i hope i helped you

Did you wipe /system also? Its better to select "factory reset" in recovery.
Also try using a different kernel also.

I think Everything will work fine..
Just follow these steps...
In CWM Recovery
Go to Mounts & storage > Wipe cache , wipe data & wipe System
Then Go to Advanced > Wipe Dalvik-cache
and now install your Rom from Sd card
I hope this 'll work..:good:
So here's what happened:
1. I unlocked the bootloader.
2. Flashed Nemesis Kernel using Command Prompt on PC.
3. Flashed Honami V2 ROM (without making a backup -__-) tru CWM. Wiped cache, dalvik cache, wipe data/factory ___, even tried reflashing the ROM but no luck.
4. And now I'm stuck with the boot logo. (where it shows "May the source be with you")
Can any body help me or have anyone had this issue? I also tried flashing the stock rom using Flashtool but it gives me the error that my drivers aren't properly installed. (and I've tried reinstalling the drivers.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to bring my Xperia U back to life.
EDIT: I used my friend's PC to flash the stock tft file. Thanks for the suggestions bro!
its soft bricked.dont worry.i had same problem i tried my friends pc installed flashtool n drivers on it n flashed stock ics using it and it ws ok.
Sent from my Xperia U using xda app-developers app
I have the same problem with that ROM (Experimental and Nemesis kernels) -- they stop working after the first boot...

Get a zip of stock based rom, mount usb from cwm and transfer it to internal storage. Flash it. You should be fine.
If that doesn't work, install flashtool drivers, get into flashmode and then flash a stock rom. Root it and install cmw via flashotool.
You will be ok... I have at least one soft brick every 3 months... But i'm just plain stupid sometimes...
