is there a way to prevent the stock samsung task manager from killing Svoice running in the background? I use wake up command when screen is turned off to find out the time, weather, open google voice search, and make calendar appointments etc. and I use task manager's "end all" button to shut down apps that are not in use to free up ram. the problem is that sometimes Svoice does not show up on the running list and when i end all apps it closes and the screen-off wake up command does not work unless i manual restart Svoice. does the stock task manager have a ignore list? Is it possible to do this on a non-rooted phone?

Hi there.
I'm looking for a widget task manager (not a task killer, just something that gives me quick access to running tasks), preferably something that shows me running tasks in the widget itself (as oppose to a widget that opens a menu of tasks when pressed).
I use to use the go launcher task manager, that suited my needs perfectly, but as far as I understand it, it's only available with the launcher.
The Active Apps / Task Manager looks good, but only shows the apps themselves in a menu, and not on the "desktop".
So, any recommendations?
is there a more robust app to stop processes?
my beef is "jetcet"?? from the stock browser menu you can print and the print job started, the first page printed but the second failed and the printing notification was in "on going" and killing all in task manager didn't stop the notification nor did force stop the app!
any way to properly stop all?
Hi guys,
I am using the small eui rom v26.
I recently discovered that the system is killing the background processes of whatsapp and facebook messenger. This results in a temporary unavailability (cannot receive messages and calls) until i lock the apps in the phone's task manage. Is there a way to disable this task killer to solve this matter?????
Also the above mentioned apps don't start on boot
Bump
Yes I have same problem, this bug should be in Aurel Topic so he is working on V17 right now.
go to dialer and tap: *#*#46360000#*#*
and deaktivate: Enable Background Resource Control

Doesn't work, There is a tutorial for a LePro 3 but it doesn't work if you kill the app from the background task (where you set the brightness)
I am running stock Android 7.1.1 on a Moto Z Play.
Recently I noticed that popup dialogs from apps running in the background or also in the foreground don't show automatically any more.
So, e.g. I have the apps Reminder with Alarm and Automate. "Reminder with Alarm" has an option to show reminders as full-screen alarms with sound and Automate allows me to create widgets that, when pressed, should show a popup with a selection. Both apps have the "Draw over other apps" permission enabled. What happens instead of the popups being shown is that I only get a notification and when I press that notification the popup is shown.
I tried reinstalling these apps and also all other apps that reasonably could influence that behaviour. How can I further debug what is prohibiting those popups being shown?
Hey guys.
Ist there a way to activate notifications (google calendar reminders) based on location ?
Let's say I wanna make sure I lock my car, when I get close to home or my office I'll get a notification "close car"...
Only thing I see on Google is to use Google keep, but since I wanna do this with daily tasks google calendars task or reminders are ideal...
Would love not to use a third party app

Use Routines and Modes....in Settings.
Go to Settings.
Goto Modes and Routines.
Tap the + icon.
Tap the + under if.
Tap Place.
Choose either Arrive....or leave.
Choose your location.
Save.
Then the + under Then.
Tap Notifications.
Tap show Custom notification.
Give the notification a title.
Write whatever you wish.
You can even have it read this notification out.
Modes and Routines is very good...and you can use it to do almost anything on your phone.
It will open calender...but my instructions were to give you a notification on reaching your home location....because that would be better than opening a calender for that purpose.
