Hi All,
I have a HTC One Phone which got discharged one day and won't power up again. I have tried all the different methods mentioned in different forums on the net and none worked.
When I connect the phone to computer, detected as qhsusb_dload.
I haven't rooted or tired any methods on this phone. I can't send it back to HTC because I purchased it from my friend in US and brought it to India.
How can I bring my phone back to life? Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks & regards,
Krishna Menon.

Thanks jerrycoffman45 for the reply. I did search but couldn't understand this technology and how can it help me in my situation. I guess this requires special hardware et al.

jtag is not something you can do it is a service a repair shop provides to restore your phone

Hi!
I think I hard bricked my Optimus One. I had to recover the original firmware with the KDZ tool and the tool crashed during the installation of the original firmware.
Now my device isn't booting anymore, which means the display remains black, no matter if I try to start the emergency mode or anything else.
Is there anything I can try or should I get myself a new phone for christmas?

Haha, considering your nickname the sentence "nomen est omen" makes a lot more sense
I already looked around a bit and I couldn't find any alternatives to the O1 in the same price segment. I'll try to contact the LG support, maybe they can help me. Because it's chrismas time..
is it in warranty... if it is then go to lg service center and the PCB will be replaced for free...... i had bricked my pone once and got the PCB replaced......
dont tell te service centre people that you used the "KDZ TOOL"..... just tell them that its stop working while official update or say you dont know it just stopped working.....
they will never know what you did to the phone..... believe me..... dont worry....
Yes, that's what I found out after some research too. Thanks for giving me hope

did you get it working back?
or you bought a new one ?
As a last resort, try charging your battery.. If that too fails, then I guess you should get yourself a new phone. HTC Explorer seems to be good option in the same price segment..
Hi All,
I flashed the Samsung newest 4.1.2 and when I did it I noticed I could not call anyone as no network etc. Since then I have done some digging and found that my imei on the phone under status is different from the one in the back of the phone under the battery. I have read about an app called gsII - repair to try and get it back to normal as it has done some damage to the efs backup file (I think).
I have been flashing for well over a year but have not got a clue how to get my phone working again, can anyone help please??
I have read loads on here but as I am a noob with code etc it looks extremely difficult, so any advice would be great as I have a phone that does not phone at the moment and my wife is doing her nut in as I am away on business and she can't get hold of me...
Thanks in advance, Phil

There are plenty of topics on this for you to read or reply to, no need for creating another one just to get same answers you could have got from the others.
Wierdest thing has happened to me in the past 10 or so hours. Ok, so I went to bed, turned my Desire X off, and left it charging. But when I woke up, the orange LED was still on... I was confused. I tried to turn it on... Absolutley no response. Tried to charge it at another socket... Nothing different.
10 hours ago, it was working fine.
Please, Please Help Me! I have contacted HTC Support. Thanks!
Try this...

Unfortunately, that did not work. Contacted HTC Support Chat, they ran me through steps that were pointless and did nothing. So I have to send it off to an authorized HTC repair centre. Any ideas whether having the Desire X rooted means that the warranty is voided? Thanks!
Maybe. Depends on the service center.

Yes The warranty is void beacuse you have an unlocked bootloader.
I doubt they will notice though.
Have you left it on charge for a whole day and problems still happen. Also can you not get into recovery or enter boatloader

Yes, have previously left it on to charge for a day, but no change. I have tried various other suggestions on other posts, but to no success. And no, I cannot get in to the bootloader or recovery. Must probably a hardware issue, has been working fine for months, and have not flashed anything for months aswell.
Thanks for your kind suggestions,
Joe

Maybe a Hard Brick ? I'm not sure.
Do you have access to another HTC battery ?
What were you doing before... Flash any mods or anything ?
I think your best bet might be to just send it to a repair centre.
Sent from my HTC Desire X using Tapatalk
Same happens with ny desire x
I sent it to HTC center they said the motherboard is damaged and it costs aground 1/3 rd of the total cost of the device itself
Is it opening into bootloader menu?

Have you tried to enter into bootloader menu ( Volume down + power button ) ?
are you able to enter?
UPDATE!
UPDATE!!! Turns out it was a hardware problem, there were 8 parts replaced! Best of all, repaired for free, despite being rooted and having flashed apps. On its way back from the repair centre now via mail. Should be back about Tuesday or Wednesday. But thanks for all the suggestions
Hope this thread helps people in the same situation.
You're in luck
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket (AT&T)
I used Odin to Root it, everything was running PERFECT.
Then when I put on AndroidParanoid From Unlockr ( I can't post link due to not having ten posts yet )
I then rebooted and now my phone will not turn on at all.
I've tried normal power up, Download Mode, and Recover Mode, Plugging it into a PC and to the Wall Charger while using all 3 forms of powering up. Still will not work...
I'm at a complete loss here guys an gals, what do I do??
Thanks,
Tony

You are the 2nd person I have seen today, who got a brick after using Paranoid Android from theUnlockr.
Anyway, if the device cannot go to even download mode, try USB Jig. If you don't have one, you can create it.
Here is a guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/guide-how-to-make-usb-jig-reset-binary-t1604707
I repaired my friend's Galaxy SII using my created USB Jig. Jig forced his phone to Download mode where I flashed it with Odin.
If USB Jig doesn't work then JTAG Device may repair it. However JTAG is not very commonly available.
In that case, I am afraid you need to contact Customer Care Center and get the Motherboard changed.
Everything is normal after motherboard changed.
But your warranty may be void due to custom ROM and Root.
Also I think your device is Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket SGH-I727 locked for AT&T Carrier.
Then this is your device's forum where more knowledgiable people than me (because I don't have your device) will help you.

Thanks!!

I'm happy the post has helped you!!!
It's always useful to share your problems, all options used, solutions, and sources of information.
It will sooner or later help someone somewhere with something. haha.
XDA is by far the TOP online location for all your needs and people with great insight on cell phones!
I work at Verizon Wireless Customer Care (CSR), and I have direct well over a thousand people here and walked them through to get to their cell phones section!
Although I can not say who, or give them my info so they can't figure out who I am (illegal), I'm hoping they have receive the knowledge and help you have here today also.

just put it in usb port like you put a charger pin. It does the rest. It forces phone into Download mode.
@pocthird
I am glad that this helped you. However I wish you never see USB Jig. i.e. your phone should never brick.
Hi everyone,
First time post and I apologize for the extreme newbie question / dead horse thread. I was installing an update on my HTC DNA and the battery ran out. I'm assuming this bricked it.
Unfortunately, it had a video I recorded of me proposing to my fiance. All I want is the data recovered, and the phone can burn for all I care.
I sent it to mobiletechvideos and they said they couldn't retrieve the data off the chip. Does anyone know of another service or option I may have? Phone is completely dead at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

From the Ebay listing:
"There is 99% chance data will be lost on HTC phones."
I'm not sure this is the service for me. Does the problem sound like a firmware issue to you or hardware?

If you contact the service with a specific request to save the data, they may be able to help. I'm not positive, but I think JTAG is used to force power to the board. Then they run an ruu which is probably where the data loss would occur. They might be able to use JTAG to get to bootloader/recovery, and maybe rescue data from there?

They said they need to replace the whole "logic board." They quoted me $150, and they could send back the phone and the original chip. They said the chip is corrupt?
Any ideas based on that info?
