Hi everyone,
I'm having a great problem. Recently got rooted SIII with CF-CWM and ICS Rom. I tried to install recent update of official 4.3 announced for UK (BTU) downloaded from SamMobile.
I used ODIN 3.7 for this process. All went successfully. ODIN automatically did a factory reset but after reset phone is on Samsung logo. Logo and LED light are blinking but not going any further. And I'm unable to go into recovery as well.
Please someone help me out in this matter. I searched here but found nothing relevant. And by the way I'm in Pakistan.
Here is the log of ODIN:

Obviously should have read this before I started.
Can you advise the best way forward now. ?
Do I try again using Odin and the same file ?
Thanks
Probably should mention I was following this guide:

I would try flashing recovery and then wiping the phone .

I managed to get into recovery and that told me it applied BTU.
I've cleared the data/factory reset and cache.
Phone has rebooted and now it appears to have loaded
Thanks
Phone was never rooted it was my mom's phone and she decided to update to 4.3 today and well now it's stuck on note 2 splash screen. I can't enter recovery I can only enter download mode.
So I downloaded 4.3 Odin file and flashed it and it passes that and reboots but still gets stuck. I also tried flashing that pit file with Odin and it's still stuck.
Is there any other way to fix this or am I gonna have to bring it in to Verizon and have to pay to fix it?

Now that it flashed in Odin successfully can you get into the stock recovery? Sounds like you need to do a factory reset if you can get into recovery.. If not take that piece into Verizon they will give her a new phone
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Fixed it, I had to odin my s3 back to stock in order to get that verizon upgrade assistant program to install and I connected note 2 in odin mode and did a repair device which basically wiped it for me and its working again ^_^

The real question is are all your buttons working properly? if you are in odin mode and done a flash, you now have to go into recovery mode and wipe out other things from the previous update so you are not stuck,
So I have this message on the screen "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try again".
I have tried installing alot of new firmware, but it doesn't help. Everytime I'm installing a new firmware it just goes to <ID:0/003> factoryfs.img

Hi there,
Where are you downloading the firmware files from? Is it from a reliable source? Did your phone have enough power to complete the flash? What about a different computer?

Always back up your data
Always assume flashing anything will delete your data.
If you are talking about the 6.0.1 firmware, nope it didnĀ“t delete any of my data. Like always, search before opening a new thread.

the bar is blue
No, there is a 'window' on the bottom left of the app with text in it. What does that text say when you've attempted to flash the phone?. Need all of it, not just the result at the end.
The blue bar means the flash completed successfully but doesn't give any more info than that.

Sboot.bin is the bootloader so I presume that it is either locked or corrupt. I'm not sure if that is a pit error or not. You could try to find another file and hope it works but if you're absolutely sure the one you have is good then there's no point. You could try finding a stock rom that doesn't include the bootloader. Also flashing a pit file (only as a very last step) is an option but make sure it is the correct one for your specific model and region etc.
I hate recommending pit file flashing but in this case it could be viable from other reports around the site. Flashing a pit file is a last resort only, I cannot stress this enough.

The sboot.bin is not flashing because the bootloader on the phone is newer than the bootloader in the ROM you are flashing, the ROM is not for your phone, and/or you need to try another computer.
It's unlikely that the bootloader is locked as AT&T and Verizon are the only two carriers I know of who lock down the bootloader.
i'm totally out of my knowledge zone here....i did do thison 1 of my old phones a few years back and some one wrote on a comment exactly how to make it stock again....but i'm buggered if i can find that post again....or thats even if the site still has that thread...can anyone point me in the right direction here please?
