My Desire X doesn't boot - HTC Desire X

Hello guys,
I just rooted and unlocked the phone to start trying to install a ROM. I tried to install "Sense.Revolution.R5" but it didn't go well .
I followed every step from the guide ending up installing the ROM from sdcard zip after wiping but it always ended on an error like assert failed: write_raw_image("tmp/boot.img and next line Error in sdcard/Sense.Revolution.R5.zip (Status 7). After that i tried to reboot the phone but it was always on black screen. I went into my bootloader and factory reset but it didn't work (black screen again).
I just want it to be like it was on factory (no ROMS, i'm already done ).
I'm using Clockworkmod v6.0.1.5
HBOOT-1.25.0002
Used AllinOneKit for unlocking and rooting.
Can anyone help me? I'm very noobish . Anything you want me to upload just ask for it!.
Help!!

Hello,
Look at the attachment. I don't see that on the kit. Do you mean putting recovery.img into Data/Kernels and then Flash Kernel with command? Or put it into Data/Recoveries and then Your Own Recovery->Flash Recovery?
Tell me if it's ok and i will go into next step

Flash recovery . 2 your own recovery. 3 put phone in fastboot mode . 4 connect phone 5 select downloaded recovery.omg from desktop 6 close first window 7 enjoy

Oh okay...i downloaded it already ^^.
TWRP, downloaded (http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/140)
Filename: openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-protou.img
MD5sum: 0ceede5826e18640d6a81451793444ae
What do i have to do now? I mean where i have to put the md5 and img ? and backup of __304? :/
2. Extract the TWRP Nandroid Backup to your desktop and find the folder 2.22.707.6
I don't have that folder. I have 2013-06-23--01-37-10 but someone says it is fine with that "ell your TWRP is for JB
the 2.22.707.6 folder you are looking for is this folder: 2013-06-23--01-37-10 Just extract that inside TWRP/BACKUP/(your serial number)/" so it's ok there i guess.
1- "Copy this folder to your sdcard" 2-"After that go into recovery and restore it and reboot the device. You are back on stock"
I'm lost on those 2 steps. 1- i can't open my sdcard. 2- What do i have to do there :S
Which recovery.img do i have to download from here? -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2099513
EDIT: my folders (TWRP one is the TWRP/BACKUP/YOURSERIALNAME etc)

Ignore all from before, i finally got it
Now i'm on the phone but i have a problem...when i go to the phone memory i have 2,3 GB used and i didn't install or do anything since the mobile is without anything. What could it be? Oo
And another problem...there is an icon called SUPERSU which one i try to open but says "SUPERSU's su binary is not preset, this is a fatal error" i guess this is because i did all of this and it unrooted?
And to end...i don't know what happened but TWRP doesn't open now. I try to do the recovery etc but nothing happens in the bootloader oO

Yeah... By flashing stock ROM you unrooted your phone. To have root again, just flash latest SuperSU in recovery. To have recovery working again, just flash recovery image via fastboot and it should work again. Maybe you accidentally flashed stock recovery while returning back to stock...

You asked for recovery and timezone12 gave you what you needed. Why did you flashed that by choosing kernel option in Flash image GUI???? It should be flashed on recovery partition. You have flashed a recovery on boot partition of your EVO 3D!!!!!! Even the name of img starts with the word "recovery".
If you can boot in bootloader > select fastboot > connect to PC > open cmd prompt > navigate to your fastboot folder in cmd > type "fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-shooter.img" (make sure you put "recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-shooter.img" in fastboot folder of your PC.)
After that recovery should work (if it does not work flash this -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=803714&d=1322926029 ,change commands according to file name)
Then you will need to flash another kernel/restore Nandroid/another Rom.....as you have flash a recovery on boot partition. There is no kernel on your phone right now.

It shouldnt be a problem as its the same rar file of the recovery which Zedomax packed
Yea, I see. I tried to open the screenshot "I posted" and got the attached warning. Don't know why IE9 is identify the xda attachment site as malware/viruses. Maybe it's a forerunner to SOPA/PIPA!
There isn't an option to overide the warning and DL the file anyway.
FYI: the cwm 4014 img in Attn1's post has the same md5 as the one zedomax packaged.

eh ill try again. I used it last time and all it does is load flash screen goes black screen then goes to a phone with an exclamation mark over it. Then reboots after a minute.
Whenever i try to flash zips over, i keep getting remote unknown 99 fail wtf
when i relock my phone to do it i get remote 42 custom id check fail
OK i have considered it was possibly cause my cid number doesn't match the ones on the thread. My cid is HTC_622
That's normal behaviour for the stock recovery, power + vol up should bring up the menu
or you could try 'fastboot erase data'
or 'fastboot format data'

First thing I did after unlocking was fastboot boot twrprecovery.img and took a nandroid to an otg stick. Never have to worry about getting back to stock again.
I have a stock rooted nandroid on a USB stick myself. Think I'll download a fully stock one in case I ever need to relock the bootloader.
Tampered and Relocked?
Hey guys,
Just switched over to the HTC One from an S3 and boy are things different (fastboot?). I am trying to get back to bone stock and relock my phone. It has a couple of dead pixels on it and I want to see if I can get it exchanged at an ATT store.
I followed the process above but after booting into the "stock" HTC One, I still get the Tampered and Relocked tags at the recovery menu. Did I miss a step or is this as far as I can go without an RUU?
Any information that can guide me in the right way will be extremely helpful.
EDIT: I also used a CWM backup on my phone that I believe was unrooted. I am currently downloading the stock TWRP posted by other xda members as I will be unlocking, installing TWRP, rooting, and then undoing all of the mentioned using the TWRP backup instead of my CWM backup.
EDIT 2: Restored using backup posted on this thread and flashed the stock img from showthread.php?t=2270552. I still get the Tampered and relocked messages. Is it possible to remove these at all or am I still doing something wrong?
thank you so much for giving a quick rundown of how to return to "almost" factory stock....I have been around a long time, but don't return to complete stock ever lol
Will be returning my phone due to horrible echo when rear microphone is covered and will use this to hopefully get a successful warranty claim. Thanks again!
i flashed the Google Play Edition 4.3 to the HTC ONE at&t... and i want to get the Stock AT&T to Sim-unlock the Phone... if i flash this Rom it will work as the stock AT&T like originaly out of the box... ?

If you have already made a backup with TWRP, it automatically creates a folder with your serial #, he just edited the folder name so we wouldn't know his serial #.

Can't acces recovery

Hi all,
I'm very new to this all, and read a lot of your threads.
But still, I haven't got a clue what is wrong.
Earlier this day I was in my recovery (TWRP), and now I can't acces it. (HBOOT - recovery). It just shuts down when I try to acces.
Also , my sd card isnt visible on the PC.
Pff, i'm getting crazy over here, seemed a good idea to root my phone, but bah, can't seem to work it out.
Please help me fellas, thanks a lot.

I only see 4 options:

Thanks man.
If you see those options you are in fastboot mode.
Now plug in to the computer and open command or terminal.
Make sure you have the adb and fastboot tools from android sdk.
In the cammand window type fastboot erase cache. Wait till it says it's done.
On the phone go to hboot and then recovery.

Alright, got the first step ready, but what boot.img do I have to mount?
Peter.
The Rom that you are on has a boot.img in the zip. Flash that.

the .exe utilities can be finicky,so if you have trouble getting it to run, you can extract "rom.zip" in the following manner:
-start the utility
-check the "i understand" box to move on to the next screen
-hide the utility temporarily out of site
-search your C drive for "rom.zip". you will find it in a temporary location(it will be in a different spot each time you run the utility)
-open the folder location, and transfer rom.zip to a safe location on your PC.
-unhide and cancel the utility, youre done with it.
-rom.zip

here are some directions to flash "rom.zip":
Quote:
if youre working with a booted, operational phone, you can flsh the file in the following manner:
-open a cmd window
-change to adb/fastboot directory
cd c:\foldername
(cd c:\mini-adb if youve used any of my guides )
-place the zip file you want to flash into adb/fastboot directory
-enable usb debug, disable fastboot, plug in phone
-check for connectivity
adb devices (should return serial number)
-boot to fastboot
adb reboot bootloader
-check for connectivity again
fastboot devices
-flash the file
fastboot erase cache
fastboto oem rebootRUU (will put you in ruu mode, black screen silver htc letters)
fastboot flash zip zipfilename.zip (will send and flash the file. dont interupt it while the cmd window shows its writinging, and the green status bar is moving on the phone screen)
*sometimes a file will fail with a pre-update error. this is normal, just enter again:
fastboot flash zip zipfilename.zip
and this time it will finish
-when you get "finished" and "OK"
fastboot reboot-bootloader (takes you back to fastboot)
-reboot back to the OS
fastbooot reboot

you can use this if you dont have an operational phone as well. you just need to manually put the phone in fastboot(select from hboot menu) then skip the "adb" commands and start with fastboot devices
to answer your other question, yes, you will need to re-unlock and re-install recovery after running the RUU. an ruu is designed as an "unroot" solution, or emergency fix,if other attempts have not made the phone operational.
Thanks go to Scotty85 over at Android forums for this info

But will this unroot my device? I'd rather not be rooted or have superuser access at all. I just want everything normal again.

yes RUU is full factory reset
flashing rom.zip is the same
Sweet, thanks
I may have been vague. This happens before I even get a chance to do anything. Example: I double click the RUU.exe, and it gives me that error. Every. Time.

the .exe RUU tend to mess up alot. Try downloading the ZIP, and flashing it that way.
I can't find a 1.26.502.15 zip. I looked everywhere, they only come in exe. I would have already done it if I could have found one.

Now can I ask why you want to stay on old Android 4.1.2 when 4.3 is out ?
What do you mean? Does the M7 not update to 4.3 when it's on the stock rom?
