[Q] fastboot, adb, rsd doesnt work on xt910 - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi, i bought a phone from a guy that said the battery is dead.
i bought new battery, installed, phone works (i was happy), and started to charge it, as new battery had 20%.
after a while it showed 30%, but then i noticed it went back to 20%, untill it died with "white light of death".
i hotwired the battery, let it charge to 80%
tried to switch back to wall charger, but again, although it says its charging battary drains, same with usb cable to pc.
i also noticed that battery drains very quick without any charge, so i thought maybe its firmware issue.
i installed every possible driver and rsdlite, but it just wont connect in adb or fastboot mod
i thought usb port in the phone is damaged, but it shows charge when connected, and also in some option in the bootloader it does recognize the phone as mz 600 something, but that doesnt help.
the phone currently have what seems to be stock GB + stock recovery
i tried to get Safe Strap recovery, but it didnt work.
from what i read the only firmware updates (not rom) are via fastboot.
i probably can flash custom rom via the stock recovery, but im not sure if it would help.
did anyone experience something similar?

Hi all,
I have Motorola XT621 Primus, after some playings with it and trying to root and add RTL patching i got a brick.
Now the status is that i have fastboot mode working but bootloader is locked, no recovery working and no ADB working, no boot too.
I tryed many ways to flash or unlock bootloader but nothing works. Any commands like fstboot oem got output like (...)
Is there any way to unlock bootloader via fastboot and flash new rom or it completely bricked?
Thanks!

if you have fastboot you can flash recovery

Just make sure you have a good battery or you will have to get a factory cable if the battery say battery low.

Get the gb firm, unzip it, and flash one by one the archives, if you don't know how, open the .xml and there are the commands, you can do it in linux/windows, i had a similar problem, cannot flash anything, my razr only turns into fastboot by using factory cable, and wired the battery, flashing couple of files, then i did flashed one by one and get error in webtop, but it work, the razr turn on (i did this in linux), then i where able to charge the battery and connect to windows, run the rsd, put another jb firm (had to download 5-6 'till i get the right) and works like a charm.
You need the android sdk tools, the latest fastboot, your drivers and some good luck. :good:
(Sorry my bad english)
By the way, if you get the "battery low" line, it doesn't matter, you need to use the factory cable + the battery wire to charger metod, do it and you'll get the O.K.

I have exactly the same problem.. Can we do something vía stock recovery?

[q]am i stuck in fastboot with a dead battery or what???

HELLO GUYS, I need Help BAD! First off my Razr was going dead. It said battery to low to boot. I connected a external battery to it to charge it then I left it for a while. I don't know exactly what happened but I went into the Utility screen. I have been on it before per Forum directions to go to recovery and delete the cache. I was scrolling down and I accidentally clicked the up key to go up to recovery and clicked up on AP Fast Boot. Now My Razr is stuck in what I think is called a Boot Loop. The Motorola symbols just keeps popping up over and over. I can go back into the Utility screen I tried to go into recovery but the Motorola symbols just pops back up OVER AND OVER. I have the Razr plugged to the factory moto plug but a white light comes on and no charging screen pops up. I don't believe it charging. The battery feels Hot but when I go back into the AP Fastboot screen it says Battery Low. I may just need to leave it on there longer or it may not charge I don't know. I am AMATEUR.I am rooted per Forum instructions with Razr Blade utility. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I have no clue what to do and the more stuff I try I think Im screwing more up. When I go to AP Fast Boot it says battery low but when I plug it up it a white light on the front comes on the Moto Logo keeps popping up over and over. It wont go to recovery. I tried going to BP TOOLS, that done nothing. WHAT DO I DO??? I just want it to boot up. The only back ups I have are on my Ext SD card and thats just of the apps, contacts and I think theme. (Backed up per Titanium and ROM Toolbox) Do I need to make an Ins claim with Verizon Thanks Jason
#1 Am I stuck in Fastboot?
#2 If so am I stuck bc the battery is dead?
#3 If I get the battery charged will I be able to just choose Normal Boot and the Razr will Boot Up?
#4 If so How do I ensure its charging? I read on another site plugging it to the factory charge while stuck in fast boot will still charge the Razr (slow)
5# If none of the above, What in the World have I done and how do I get out of it?
Just adding to my Nightmare
I read somewhere I needed to connect my Razr to a PC and Update the Drivers. I went back into FastBoot, used my factory USB cable and plugged it to the PC. The driver started updating (it even said the name of the driver) I stood up and knocked my Razr off the desk. The driver failed to update. Then I hooked it back to the PC and the Drivers Failed. I hooked it to 2 other USB ports they All Failed. It keeps saying unrecognizable device. I rebooted the PC in hopes that when I hooked the Razr back up to the PC it would start to update the drivers. Now I if I hook the Razr to the Factory plug (it gets Hot) I go to the Utility Screen then to Fastboot and it still says Battery Low. I unplug it from the charger to hook it to the PC and it Blinks OFF and does NOTHING when I hook it the PC. My Razr is Factory other than the Razr Blade Root. Stock ROM and Everything. Any Help would be Greatly Appreciated, I am a NOOB so Detailed instructions would definitely increase my chances for success. Thanks Jason T.

I had this problem some months ago! mine came because of installing a rom with low battery (bad idea always...) the rom did not get installed properly, so the phone couldnt boot up, neither charge. As it was at low battery it also couldnt go fastboot to recover the stock system. I found somewhere a post (i dont remember now, but search for it, you may find) where a guy gave instructions for charging the battery by opening the phone and connecting the battery directly to the positive and negative terminal of an usb cable. This may sound too difficult, but once I had connected the battery I could go fastboot and reinstall the stock system.
Ask me if you cant find the post. It worked for me!! good luck
I found it, Charged it and I'm STILL in a Boot Loop. I won't boot to recovery or normal boot up. I'm STUCK BRICKED

You will have to download the fastboot files for your device. Flash them via RSD Lite.
Make sure you have a lot of charge before flashing the files.
FastBoot files:- http://sbf.droid-developers.org/cdma_spyder/list.php
RSD Lite v5.7:- http://www.mediafire.com/download/6c7krihb3ggj88g/RSDLite5.7.rar
Motohelper drivers:- http://www.mediafire.com/download/t3tfh3p2xcy2861/MotoHelper_2.1.40_Driver_5.5.0.exe
Install the drivers and RSD Lite. Open RSD Lite and connect your phone via the USB Cable while in AP Fastboot. The software should detect your phone and your device should appear in the list. Then simply open the fastboot files in RSD and flash them. Make sure that the process isn't interrupted.
Hope it helps.
Here ya go. Hope it helps. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2431617

[Q] Softbricked, can't get into recovery,HELP with $$!! NYC

Hey guys,
Long story short.
Flashed Kitkat with S-on (really stupid)
phone rooted
bootloader unlocked
S-On
Now softbricked, can't get into recovery, is able to get in bootloader, phone keeps rebooting.
Tried factory reset, no success
tried adb/fastboot, my pc wasn't able to detect the phone, no device listed
tried all in one flash tool, trying to reflash recovery, no success either cuz phone not found
when usb was plugged in, 'fastboot usb' shows up on phone's screen, but no real communication established. Windows' notification bar shows htc phone unplugged even though it's plugged in.
I guess usb debugging is off, but i don't know how to enable it
anyone had similar problem, any help will be appreciated
any NYC member here, i'm willing to pay 50 bucks for fixing this, sorry i'm poor, that's all i can afford T_T
Thanks in advance!!
Does it connect via Fastboot? The command is "fastboot devices" to check. You could try to flash a ROM through Fastboot, but I've never had any luck with that. Have you tried the RUU method?

Bricked my Nexus 9 wont turn on

Hello everyone ,
I think I have just bricked my nexus 9 , it started when I installed the dirty unicorn rom, but without thinking I did not perform a factory reset before in recovery and now my nexus 9 will not boot at all. When I hold the power button the google logo appears for a couple of seconds and turns off quickly. I also tried fasboot , and I eventually got it to appear but it turned off after 1-2 seconds. I then tried to use nexus root toolkit to flash the factory image, but since I cant acces fastboot it wont find my device. Am I out of options, or is there something else I can do , or should I send it in for repair. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Update:
anyone please help , edit:: I tried everything I could to turn on the nexus 9 and when I plugged in the nexus 9 to the wall and held power + up button , it turns on and says Fastboot AC, however whenever I select fastboot it shows it for a second and turns off. I tried plugging it into the wall and Fastboot AC but when I unplug it to my computer it just turns off and from there I cant do anything and it does not turn on at all.
Is there perhaps someway I can flash the bootloader without the screen on or anything like the nexus root utility that fixes bricked bootloaders?
Did you flash the custom rom via twrp? Do you still have the twrp recovery?
If yes try to boot into twrp recovery and connect to your pc.
Yes, I did flash the custom rom in twrp , however I cannot boot into twrp recovery or even into fastboot or the bootloader. My nexus 9 will not even turn on unless is connected to the wall outlet and then when I press the power + volume button it shows Fastboot ac however when I select the bootloader or anything else it just turns off. When I connected it to my pc, my nexus 9 does not turn on at all and is not even recongnized
Can you find a pc with a USB charging port or a hub with a charging port? A USB charging port will be able to deliver 2A along with the USB connection. You may also find a USB3 port may also deliver sufficient power - the official spec says 900mA but I think that is the minimum requirement.
I tried using 3 different pc's , one with a usb charging port , and the nexus 9 was still not able to turn on, even when holding power + volume up or any other configuration. I tried different usb cables and still no luck. Is there someway that I can access it without fastboot or adb? I know on the nexus 7 forum, there is one click factory restore dead or alive , but I dont think there is anything like that for the nexus 9.

All you need is fastboot. From there you should be able to flash boot.img and system.img
commands are....
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
Then I would run fastboot format userdata
Of course you need to get these image files from the factory image site here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

I really want to do this , however my nexus 9 does not turn on when connected to any pc's , It will only turn on when connected to the wall charger. I have tried different usb cables and different computers and still no luck. I also tried nexus root toolkit however it doesnt recognize the nexus 9 as it needs fastboot which I cannot access.

Ahhh, Ok. Thats what I was getting at.
You may have to RMA the device. Tell them nothing of root and ROM and just give the function failures you discussed here.

I dont think I can RMA the device becuase I purchased the nexus 9 from an ebay seller and I contacted him and he said returns are only valid for two weeks and I have already had the device for other two months now. Should I just sell it or can I somehow return the device to google even though I did not buy it through the play store?
Just for reference , here is a picture of the nexus 9 in fastboot ac connected to the wall charger
http://imgur.com/coUY7qS
If I select hboot it turns off ,and if I try to plug it into a PC it just quickly shuts down and will not turn back on
I would still try to RMA back to HTC.
The most they can say is No.
Ok thanks for you help , I will try to contact HTC for a RMA
Edit: I just called HTC and described my situation and they said they would not be able to return it or RMA the device because it was bought from an ebay seller and they are not responsible. Is there anything else I can do?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Bricked not responding at all

Hi,
I got my new phone a couple of days back, installed CM13 (officially unlocked, did that with TWRP + install ROM) probably incorrectly because i couldn't get the fingerprint sensor and other stuff to work at all.
Today my phone turned off by itself with around 70% of battery left and it's not responding anymore. Cannot go into Recovery mode, not even to Fastboot. Connected it to the charger and have the red light of the devil blinking... Tried to do everything i found online but i couldn't get into EDL mode (and then Flash through MiFlash), since fastboot is not working at all.
I really don't wanna have to open the back of the phone and. What can i do to save the phone? Is there any proven solution and a comprehensive guide to this (for a total idiot like me)?
Yes there is deep flash cable method search on xda/youtube it works like a charm,😉, this method saved me once
Try this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/guide-how-to-flash-hard-bricked-redmi-t3490055) works 100%
Try to disconnect and reconnect the battery.
This has kicked me into EDL mode once and after flashing it was fine
Both methods are sound, but if you decide to remove the back cover, remember to eject the SIM card tray first
Thanks for the replies, i was hoping i wouldn't have to have to open the back cover and disconnect the battery but it seems to be the only option at this point.
The deep flash cable doesn't seem that difficult tho, why don't you give it a shot? It seems like that's what they use at MI service centres after all.
So i have managed successfully to have the pc recognise the device as Qualcomm Hs USB Qdloader 9008, opened the MiFlash tool and recognised the device, but when i try to flash a stable MIUI rom i get an error: "Write timed out" as many times i tried to do it.
Does anybody have a suggestion?
My device was unlocked officially and i have no recovery no fastboot nothing at all.

Get into EDL

Phone bricked? Won't power on anymore.

I flashed TWRP which worked, rebooted into TWRP so that still worked then tried wiping but got a mount error, I tested if it would install the img anyway and still mount error, so I changed slot from A to B, since then its just black screen and not recognised on PC at all.

First of all, what did you wipe in TWRP? /data?
Have you ever installed an OTA update? If not, you can't boot into the other slot. Same if you restored via MSM. You need to do one local upgrade until the B slot is bootable.
That will be what it is, I didn't do a OTA update. Is there a way to get back to the original slot?
I tried deleting data.

Mounting and formatting of /data is not supported on older TWRPs. Try the most recent one from mauronofrio here on XDA if you want to format it (at least for custom ROMs).
For Oxygen OS I would suggest using "fastboot -w" instead as OOS still can't be decrypted.
Probably either use the MSM tool or use "fastboot --set-active=a" and then try "fastboot -w" if it doesn't boot.
I can't currently get into TWRP though at the moment, after I changed slots its just powered off all the time and not recognised on pc I haven't used any tools though.
So I guess MSM tool might work, but would that work if currently the pc isn't recognising a usb device connected?

Thanks for help so far, one final thing I hope when I picked up phone it gave me the full screen battery power too low to turn on message so it gave me hope I can fix it, I charged it for about 10 minutes and it gave me the "bootloader unlocked press power to pause" screen.
What is best thing to do here? Let it fully charge then connect to PC and try the MSM tool or let it drain and then connect to pc instead of charger and let it charge till its recognised by pc?

Actually, I noticed I am able to now get into TWRP without connecting to pc, and switch back to slot A, but it said no OS installed.
Do I still need to flash via the MSM tool or can I just update TWRP then install stock rom, update then go back into TWRP and install custom? Or what is best way?

You can either flash OOS via the latest TWRP (and probably do fastboot -w) or I would just use the MSM tool which is much easier and gets you a fresh install
EDIT : Problem Solved!
