New G2 owner, looking for suggestions. - G2 General

Hi all, I made the switch last night from my Verizon Note 2 to a T-Mobile G2. I'm just looking for some recommendations/suggestions for what everyone has liked. I was running my Note 2 rooted with JellyBeans ROM. I'm kind of liking the G2 stock so far, but I know there's always room for improvement.

OP so there is no un-needed posting by some, I suggest you just read and try for your self Here. And there is nothing wrong with Stock btw.
And there is great work being done here also in the Original Section, but ensure you download your make device. Thanks

[Q] Crash ROM for Verizon SCH-I605??

Howdy all,
I am looking at the Crash ROM for my Note 2, mostly because it seems to be the best at supporting the S-pen and the features that make the Note 2 more than just an oversized S3. Question though... I cant find anywhere that states if the ROM does or does not support the Verizon version of the Note 2, SCH-I605. The offical ROM posting is in one of the other dev forums, and the only post I could find asking for Vzw support wasnt answered.
Does anyone know if Crash ROM will work for me?
If not, is there a similar ROM everyone uses to maintain maximum use of the S-pen and other features?
Thanks
Why don't you link the thread? Also you could just make a backup and give it a shot. If it didn't work just restore.

This is true... I am something of a noob when it comes to this, as I've only rooted one phone and it was a few years ago, so I am hesitant to experiment too much. Especially if something is specifically NOT designed for my device. You make a good point though. Could easily Nandroid myself right back to stock.
Heres the official Crash ROM thread.

Understandable. I personally wouldn't try it because it seems to have a modem flash built in. I'm sure it would be okay, but I don't like to play with the modem.
I'm not sure what it does special with the s pen though? Any of the Verizon touch wiz bard ROMs keep use of it. So check out Eclipse (my personal choice), clean vROM, Jedi (crazy fast), or Beans

Thanks for the recommends! I will check those out. I had just read several posts and seen some vids which indicated Crash maintained more support for the pen and other Note 2 features. Some ROMs apparently dont. Im still getting up to speed on what my options are. Thanks again.

Thank You Devs

hello. i have only had my LG optimus G for 3 days now, but i love it alot. the hardware on this thing is amazing. before this i had an iphone 4. i learned how to root, unlock, install mods and flash custom roms by reading threads in 1 day. i now have snowjb on my lgog with qslide and a camera mod. this thing is so smooth. i like that it doesnt have AT&T's bloatware. when i was at the AT&T store, the rep told me that he didnt think AT&T would ever put jelly bean on this phone because of the pro coming out. i took this phone back to him to let him see what i did to it and he was amazed. he didnt know any of this kind of customization was out for this phone. so i just wanted to make a thread to say thank you devs for all your hard work and time you've put into making this phone my most enjoyable phone yet. Thank You!
Understood Sir, and Thank You.

Back from the Dead....

Hey Guys,
In advance please excuse anything that may not make any sense or something extremely outdated. I have returned home from being oversea and have not touched my phone or done anything to it in months. I feel that by now my phone is extremely outdated, and I am not taking advantage of the ability of my device.
Let me start.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 Sprint, Currently running XNOTE Build 15 4.4.2., Philz TouchWiz 6.
After signing back onto XDA and jumping back into development forums, things have changed. I have gone a few pages back and things are buried. When I left everything with KNOX was still up in the air and ROMS were just becoming.
My questions are, what would be the quickest/safest/most efficient way to either upgrade even a current stock or rolling back to my original firmware and upgrading from there.
Thanks in Advance

First good to see you back ! XNOTE with Philz 6 is a great place to be . Here is one of my threads to read to get you back into the saddle http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/general/samsung-note-3-rom-flashin-basics-t2896440 you will see I'm running close to the same thing. There are several new roms MOAR 5, Pac Man, Slimkat, all get getting great reviews. We are lucky to have the variety on this forum. I'm sure you noticed the forum skin has changed, I like the 2015 dark theme background with white lettering. To change the forum skin login at the top right go to your settings/edit options then scroll down to forum skin there are several versions to try. Enjoy !!!

Need help with choosing roms

Posted this on a rom thread, when I should've asked here instead I recently got this phone repaired after finding it stored away, hasn't been used since snowjb came out, I like roms with tweaks, like pac roms with good battery life, I haven't done anything to it since it came out which rom would be best for me? looking for an android 5.x one.. not many have screenshots was kinda curious if anyone could point me in the right direction, thanks.
I've had better stability with Candy, but Blisspop is very full featured and fast. Battery is better on candy for me. If I ever get slowed down enough, I plan to try validus.
I have been using BlissPop for the last 2 weeks, it seem to be working great (i also wanted to try out lollipop after being on Beanstalk 4.4 for almost a year).
I will try out Candy if there is any major issue with Blisspop...so far its been good and i am enjoying the new feel of this old phone.

[Q] AT&T vs International. Also, performance.

Hey guys, couple quick questions. Glanced over the first page, my apologies if these are super-common questions.
First, I've got an AT&T m7. I've successfully rooted and installed TWRP. Do I need to use AT&T roms only, or am I good to use the roms in the main forum?
Second, I'm coming over from the nexus 4, and mother of god this thing is, in comparison, slower than Ralph Wiggum. It's essentially the same hardware, so I don't even know how that's possible. Any recommendations? I prefer AOSP-based roms, but if it works well, I'll be happy with a phone that looks like 2011 Samsung vomited all over it.
Thanks in advance.

Are u saying the HTC is slow? Have u used sense 5 or 6 on it? Best oem skin my opinion. Mine is more fluid then any other android I ever had ( had all major flagship) .
Mine was on 4.4 before I rooted and installed cm12.1. Compared to my nexus 4, it was frustrating.
