sorry, i forgot to say that i already did the factory reset and the symptoms are the same. Could be a software issue?
If it was a hardware problem would not work at all, right?
*#0*# tests:
touch test result: PASSED OK with no other problem,
Dimming: One touch result: Dimming, Second touch: nothing
RED, GREEN, BLUE: no dead pixels
Reciever, speaker, cameras: OK
Sensors: OK

Re-flash stock via odin if problem persists it's most likely hardware.
I had flashed with odin(Android 4.3 COA - international Cosmote ROM) but the problem persists.
Today, i went to a gsm service, and told me that the hardware seems to be ok, i suppose that they did the same tests...
Diagnostic: unknown.
Can you give me an advice? What hardware part do you think i have to change? (I don't want to change the display because it's expensive)

Try a custom rom (like neatrom 4.4.2) and see if the problem still persists. If it does, deffinetly hardware problem.
You would have probably noticed by now if it was this, but it's worth a try. Aren't you by any chance experiencing these issues only while charging? Low quality/faulty/unfiltered power supplies sometimes lead to touch troubles.

I'm having a problem with my Samsung Galaxy 551 (a.k.a. callisto i5510L). Sometimes when I RECEIVE (and so far only when receiving) a call, if the other person hungs up and the screen is still locked (from the proximity sensor since the phone is next to my head when I'm talking) it never ever unlocks again. In fact it doesn't even react to any button and I can't even turn off the phone. Only thing that works is removing and reinserting the battery and then turning on the phone again. It's a very tedious process and it happens pretty often, every couple of days or so. I took the phone to service and they replaced it with a new one but it does exactly the same so I figure is a general issue among this model.
I haven't been succesful in finding this issue on the internet so I'm assuming it has something to do with the operator's modifications of the system.
So the question is: Has anyone else had this problem? If so, has anyone found a workaround, a patch or received a proper answer from the service about how or when it wil be fixed?
Today I got from the service that it was a software problem to be corrected via update, but they didn't know what was exactly the problem or when the update will happen so I don't believe them much...
A little technical info about the phone:
As said it has stock ROM from the operator CLARO Argentina and the firmware versions, according to KIES are:
PDA:JK3 / PHONE:JK3 / CSC:JK2 (CTI)
And according to the phone about menu:
Model: GT-I5510L
Android Version: 2.2
Baseband: I5510LVCJK3
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected] #1
Compilation: FROYO.VCJK3

Thanks for answering so soon and for the advice. I searched through their website but unfortunately they have only firmwares for the GT-I5510 and my device is GT-I5510L dunno, what's exactly the difference but even in samsung's open source website both devices have separate sections so I'm guessing there's a difference in hardware too.
I sent my phone for repair today, but perhaps I just have to wait for an official samsung update.
And I haven't found more people with this problem as often as it happens to me so perhaps I'm just really really REALLY unlucky and just got two faulty phones in a row. Maybe third time's the charm...
Now there is only 1 file diffrent, connected with the language.
hello,
Galaxy 551 is my wife's phone and she has the exact same problem.
After a call, screen turns off and the phone totally locks. Nothing can be done except taking out battery and turning the phone on again. I've noticed it happends on both outgoing and incoming calls.
Did you find other solution than flashing other rom? It's not my phone and don't want to mess with it.
Detailed phone info:
GT-I5510
Android 2.2
Radio: I5510XWKD1
Kernel: 2.6.32.9 - perf
number of compilation: FROYO.XWKD4
No, sorry. The only solution I found was taking it to service several times until they agreed to change it for a different model. Because all GT-I5510 that they kept giving me had the same problem.
Hello All,
Did anybody face similar issue? Please help:-
I have Samsung Galaxy GT-I8552 quattro/win
OS official 4.1.2.
Baseband I8552XXAMDB
Kernel 3.4.0-1163727 [email protected]#1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Apr 24 17:05:42 KST 2013
Build: JZ054K.I8552XXAMDB
Problem => The touch on this phone is sticky. (I mean once I touch any icon, the touch remains sticky and soon it pops up the alt. menu (equivalent to tap & hold)).
Initially I thought its OS feature which I should disable. I tried increasing the Tap & hold delay - didn't work. I rooted the set to clean out the bloatware gift from Samsung. Once I enabled "Show touches" then I understood that most of the times, once we touch the screen, the touch just stays there until we tap it again.
Is this a hardware issue, or can be fixed somehow at software side? Please help.
I just flashed the stock rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2550692.
The bug still exists. Could this be hardware issue
Yes this is hardware issie. Go to service centre..

Hmm.... Ok thanks. I think its hardware issue coz nobody else is facing it. & I think I'm in a trouble as well coz I've already thrown the bills & all don't know where. I flashed CWM recovery and unrooted the set somemore thinking that removing some unnecessary apps would resolve the issue

try flashing full stock rom using odin once.
Do a full reset, like the reset you do when your device gets bricked.
It might help.
Go to CW, clear the cache, do a factory reset, go to download mode, flash the stock rom via odin.

Hi, i have a Galaxy S3 GT-19300 with a faulty camera. "Camera failed" error when i try to access it.
When i try to check the Camera Firmware via *#34971539#, i get a black screen with a grey bar at the top which says "Camerafirmware standard" , below this there no information whatsoever. After a second or two i receive a message stating "Unfortunately, factory test has stopped". The phone has never been rooted and the problem existed prior to updating to 4.3.
I've tried the following.
Clear Camera Cache
Clear partition Cache and restore phone - have restored a number of times
Reseated ribbon connector for camera
Cleared files in \Phone\Android\data\com.sec.android.gallery3d\cache (I've read this can help)
At this stage i'm not sure what to do. Does anyone know why there might not be any information displayed when trying to check the Cameras firmware? Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Do a full wipe and flash the latest stock firmware with odin. If still the same then it's a hardware fault.

Will give this a go. Thank you
No luck unfortunately, flashed successfully however the problem remains. Both front and rear cam fail in diagnostic menu so im guessing this is a motherboard fault as all other areas have been ruled out.

If you have the same problem then read the op it is most likely a motherboard fault (physical fault not software) it will need to go to be repaired:silly:
Hi all,
I have a Galaxy S" i9300 and I've been using NeatRom since a long time now, maybe 2 years or more without any issue, but since few weeks I'm having problem with phone calls, I can't hear and they can't hear me, so the speaker and the microphone are not working during call. While if not in a call they work fine, I can record my voice, listen to music...
I've tried many thing, full wipe, flash the latest NeatRom but nothing worked.
I've flashed also the latest stock rom but the issue remain the same.
Any idea please?
Thanks
Flash a stock rom via odin and boot it up. Go to the dialer and press *#0*# for factory test mode.
From there you can test the hardware. Factory test mode is not accessable via custom roms.

Tried that already.
Nothing looks wrong from *#0*#
Then the problem has to be software.
Most likely it is an hardware problem.
Search on google for: samsung i9300 no sound during calls
I have two S3 devices that have the same problem.
Tried factory reset, flash original rom, flash Cyanogenmod (CM11 & CM 13) and flashing modems. Nothing seems to be working.
Some people tried to apply pressure on the Audio IC chip. Maybe you can try this. More information about this can be found here.

Not true. I had this issue and it was software related.
Also, op states "no fault" with factory test mode.

What I said was "Most likely". That doesn't exclude software.
After updating to firmware 1.31 with teclast OTA updater the touchscreen of the tablet has ghost touches.. I have testet it with a screen touch test app and there are ghost touches on the upper screen boarder without touching the tablet by fingers...
Before the firmware update to 1.31 everything was fine...
Does anyone else got this problem?
I had downloaded the previous older firmware (1.28, no touchscreen problems before with that firmware, zip file) from the teclast website and wantet to downgrade it by flashing the 1.28 firmware with the teclast update tool (local update, choosing the zip file) , but it stops after rebooting with the message "error" and boots up the 1.31 firmware system... What im doing wrong?
I really like the tablet, but these ghost touches since the update to firmware 1.31 are a real problem....

OK... So it seems to be a software problem... Good to know... Hopefully the issue get solved very soon with a new firmware update....
We're discussing the matter HERE, Teclast seems to be aware of the problem. Let's hope they solve it, and soon enough
I bought the tablet on 26/12/2017 and I had problems with touchscreen but I reflashed 1.32 firmware and I solved the problem. I installed TRWP and rooted with Magisk working well the last 3 weeks. But I started again to have problemas with touchscreen, It doesn`t response any touch. I am trying to flash other firmwares and try to solve the problem, but now I have a tablet with no touchscreen. I am thinking to flash T10 (E3C6)-TOS-V2.00-CDF8 firmware, I know that I have EC35 model but I desesperate. The next step is to give back the tablet to gearbest.

I have the same problem.
Maybe completely loosing touch is more of a hardware problem.
It is possible that something break, or whatever went wrong, and no firmware can fix hardware issues. I suggest you try to return your devices. Hopefully, this is just rare hardware problem.

I don`t think so. I am testing to install another versions and when I installed T10 (E3C6)-TOS-V2.00-CDF8 (I know, the model is not the same), the touchscreen works but with ghost touches. The panel is ok, they have to fix the digitilazer driver.

I have found a strange solution. I have inserted a Samsung MicroSD and I have removed it, yesterday it didn't works but this morning (power off the tablet all the night) the touchscreen is working again!! I have to test if the hard case it could be the problem, but I don't think so.
This is really strange behavior. Who knows why it stopped working and then started.
FW 2.01
I have the same issue with ghost touchscreen after installing the firmware 2.01. My previous version was 1.32. I downloaded the FW and then installed it through OTA from local place.

Recently updated from build V1.32 to V1.35.
Have notice that there is (quick often) a "dead" area about 1/2 way up the landscape screen and for most of the width. It's about 10 - 15 mm wide. Detected it with "Touch Screen Test" from the play store. If I move rapidly it seems to minimize it. In some games I have to rotate the screen 180 deg sometimes in order to get a response.
Also the screen is sometimes unresponsive and I have to close with power button a open screen again to get touch response.
Have had some problems with Hall sensor not allowing complete boot and screen response, but I seem to cure that with taking T10 out of the folder / case before booting.
Any Comments or similar experiences by anyone. Think I may go back to V1.32 if I can.

I'm on v1.35, I'm not sure if ghost touches are completely solved, but at the moment I don't see them that much (i.e. lately I didn't noticed any). But, it actually also depends which game you play, as they were problem only in games and only in certain games.
Also, I heard that they are less problem for TOS version, but TOS has other problems, mainly with Google software not working, but I see it is supposedly solved with latest TOS, which is still not available for my device (only for G6 devices).
Anyway, at least there's effort from Teclast to solve this problem and other issues also.
For me, generally speaking, for some time ghost touches aren't problem, but your usage may differ from mine and you can have problems (or not, of course).
