Hi,
Don't know what happen, why, and what to do, if possible.
I run the last LiquidSmooth version since it's able, no more change, no kernel.
This morning, no problem, some sms, phone calls, play with internet, a normal day in fact. And there are two hours, Idecided to call my wife : no lockscreen, just a blackscreen. So I decided to reboot but nothing. No boot logo, no words, NOTHING. I can't go into recovery or download mode.
Just in case I've ordered a new battery (but the last time I see my battery level this morning there was even more than 60%), but waiting the delivered new one, somebody has an idea? A new battery could help me?
I've tried to charge but nothing (no led, no scrren wake on). I've tried to connect to computer : it search an update for driver : it's writen : "QHSUSB_DLOAD" and after a while it says that no driver can be found. No odin no kies.
Any idea of what happened, or if anyhting is possible (can't buy a new phone).
Thanks

really really thanks. I read a lot of differents threads, even considering another phone I don't own, and I thought I've read enough. I'd tried this when back home . thanks again.
Vous ĂȘtes bienvenus!!!
Let me know of you need the debrick.IMG. I have one for the I9200. I9205 debrick.img is available in the thread I posted above.

So I've read thread, see videos. Now I'm waiting that my pc (which is as fast as a turtle ) backup my sdcard.
I have downoload win32 item and extract. But for debrick.img, the link in first post is not avaible. I've found another file few posts after but it's a *.img.tar file. I am right if I unzip it ? The *.img inside is good to use?
Thanks for the time you spent for me.

I am uploading it to my mega account. check under DEBRICK/I9205 folder. Should take about 30 minutes to upload. You can also extract the debrick.img from the tar file.
so I've test with your file but doesn't work. I've also tried with the one in the thread , nothing too.
In fact the phone boot but not totaly as it's supposed to do. I press power button then vibrate and then the logo doesn't appear but there is this screen :
Code:
[COLOR="Lime"]BOOT RECOVERY MODE[/COLOR]
CHECK BOOT PARTITIONS. .

WRITE 139008 sectors. .

KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
[COLOR="Gray"]QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
BOOTLOADER AP SWREV: 1[/COLOR]
----------------------------------------
I can't go into any mode (download or recovery), just boot to the screen above.
I've tried to "ODIN" a firmware ( I9205XXUAMG7_I9205XEFAMG1_I9205XXUAMG5_HOME.tar.md5 that I had on pc ) : when plug phone it tells me "added" with blue item (so normal no ? ), *.md5 = good analysis. But when I click on start it tells me that I miss PIT file
Well, you may need to repartition using a I9205 pit file and then try flashing stock rom using Odin. Check with @ValenteL, He's good with things technical. He can provide you with a .pit file too.

I've several firmware on pc and can't remember the last I flash (when phone ran well ) than i flashed some custom rom (in fact all cm11, BS, Mokee, etc, etc, until I flash latest LisuidSmooth. As it run well I just keep it (waiting the version of BS that @Silesh.Nair make able today... arghhhhh ).
So, I'm little disappointed.

The link from your first post in your thread didn't work so i've tried with one few posts later. And also test with one from @Silesh.Nair. I tested with two differents sd . The two are 16go : one class4 and one class 10.
Is it normal that after use win32 item , the properties of my sd says that the size is in mb (near 16 mb are free and 47 mb are usedand capacity total 64mb : a deep hole from 16gb???? )?
in attachment : files on sd after win32 item : just one folder named "/image" and inside there are those files on screenshots.

It's normal. The sdcard have 17 partitions but the windows only see the first from 64 MB. 16 are hidden for windows.
You can see them on Control Panel / Admnistrative Tools / Computer Management / Storage / Disk Management (local) ...
and here You see the sdcard, may be F: whit 17 partitions.
Power off on Mega, put the sdcard, Power and must be something to work on it. It write the first 128 MB from emmc, pit file included. And use the guide from @shazzl .
Here I can't help more because I never had a hard brick and not make all process. I made only the sdcard to debrick and analyzed it on Pc.

Hi,
I have been updated my G9 device firmware to 4.05. During update everything was ok. After update, a message appears that say "Starting applications". After 15 minutes nothing happened and mistakenly I have restarted my device. After restarting, archos welcome screen appear but nothing occur!
Also I try to fix it by recovery options like:
1- Repair System>Check Disk : No problem found!
2- Upgrade firmware: Downgrade firmware show me error 221 and trying to install 4.05 is successful but after installation my problem exist yet!
3- Format Disk> Reformat Device...: Even I try to reformat it but after reformat and updating firmware, my problem exist.

That means that the fw is corrup or that tne filename is wrong, all you have to do is re-download the firmware and make shure that the filename is correct (without a "2" or any other number at the end that indicates it was the second firmware file in the donload folder)... so reformat your device and retry.
Hope I helped,

Try what i told you to do... that error means there is a prblem with the update file, so either it's corrupt or the file name is wrong
HI !
Please ..can you try also ? - press 10 sec. on power ( until the green light closed).... now .. while pres volume down ...press power ( and don't release ) until you will entry in recovery (SDE) ! I hope will work this method ! Good luck.

Which tools do you use for download? I had the same error 221 and then I read somewhere (maybe in this forum) that Mozilla actually recognizes the archive format, unpacks the file for virus check (or whatever else), and then re-packs it. But the original file is digitally sighed by Archos, and the repacked one is not. That is why the updater rejects it. Since that, I did a couple of successful upgrades using the most basic tool, wget, to download the file to my PC first. Try this.
The following seems to be the result of the bad update script. Which version did you start from? Not too old? It looks like the script deleted the existing software first, then checked the new file, and rejected it - and what to do next?
ps. If someone definitely knows that the above reasoning about download is wrong, please let us know this - not to spread this rumour any longer.
use
RECOVEY (ON OFF/ VOL -),
RESET ANDROID via REPAIR SYSTEM and FORMAT SYSTEM.
Install the firmware
Thanks everyone! Thanks so much. I solved my problem and my device go on! And now we can go to second step...

Ok, I had time to experiment todaya nd now I do know definitely that I was wrong - at least, for the current version. Downloaded the file a few times by both Mozilla and wget, calculated the checksums - it is identical and successfully recognized by the updater. So the above error is nothing but a spontaneous download error, once it occures - just reload the file. On the other hand, wget is very resilent to transmission errors, so file corruption is less likely while using it.
I was attempting to install twrp, but while doing so ran into an error that stated "write error: no space left on device"
The commands I was running at the time are the following:
su
dd if=<exact path to the image file> of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6
These commands were pulled directly from the twrp website, for the installation instructions
I verified the path to the image file, and verified I had the exact "of" location as well, and got the error mentioned above. Now, after rebooting, the phone won't even so much as blink no matter what I try.
Is my phone completely dead? I would love for someone to tell me there's a trick to get into recovery/download/something mode to come back to life from this.
Have you pulled the battery ,then put it back ....then attempted download mode ?
And I must ask ....why didn't you simply flash TWRP through clockworkmod ??
If the device won't boot to download mode ...then it's hard bricked ...and will require JTAG restoration ..

I did try pulling the battery, but I'll give it another shot.
As for why I chose this route... I made the mistake of blindly following the installation instructions on the twrp website itself, for the galaxy note.

JTAG or a Riff Box ....is a procedure / device used to debrick a Samsung device.
This method is Sammy specific ....and only works for us.
If a good JTAG procedure is used, it basically means our devices are unbrickable ....unless physically damaged ...
It's pretty cool ....just general search it ...and you'll see ....g
The device rewrites the read only chips with the operating system. It bypasses the flashing process that your phone can't do anymore.
Exactly .....
Thank you ranger ....g

Theres no root access as of yet, keep checking google.
I've pulled the boot.img and recover.img from this fone and using flash tool and altered the files for root but cannot download them back again believe there's a problem with the scatter file. Think this is a alcatel thing shouldnt be to difficult though as the chipset is a mtk6575 already done my mtk6577 China fone with the same method and that went very well.

This fone seems to be a China fone underneath when rooted the same Apps appear root browser and uncle mobile. The 1ghz prozzy single core ain't to bad does most things and the 2 and a half gb internal means it doesn't run low on space to quickly. The jelly bean 4.1.1 build seems quite solid. I think this is what the smart ii should have been. The 4" screen is clear and the fone is surprisingly slim, slimmer than the smart ii, hmmm shiny....ahhh and if you got a spare 2000 vodafone freebee points you can get it half price

For what it's worth the phone is made by TCL - search for them on Wikipedia.
Also for what it's worth I managed to unlock mine for use on another non Vodafone network. I could only find one service that could unlock them at the moment. If you google you should find it. I can't post links as I am new here.
My initial impressions are also positive. Seems pretty stable, functional and responsive so far. Pity the screen isn't IPS but otherwise it compares very favourably with my Huawei G300 for example.
Just bought this phone in Hungary from Vodafone. I would like to know how can we root it, how can we rollback to factory state, install Cwm and so on. So this is the reason I joined the thread.

There is a tutorial for rooting mt/mtk chipsets from Chrizzly92 here (search for this post on xda)=(STAR N9770 DUAL CORE MT6577-ulefone N9770. - Page 132 - xda-developers) (soz cant post links yet) explains about rooting mt6577 but 6575 is same method but you may need 6575 drivers and use a newer version of sp flash tool, I used version v3.1304.0.119. Basically your pulling your own boot and recovery (plus android.img but this a safety measure) images from your phone and making a modified version with root that you then push back to the phone, the original stock images are stored on your pc in case you would like tom restore your phone as well as the new rooted images just flash the imgs you'd like to use. Make sure Vcom drivers are installed before you connect your phone though, as when you plug your phone into the usb while it is switched off the phone will only connect up briefly and then disconnect again if there is no activity, which means that if you try and install the drivers using the connect your phone to the usb method the phone disconnects to quickly. You should only attempt this if you have some knowledge of this sort of rooting.

recovery: 01588000 size: 00600000
Android: 026E8000 size: 31900000

Guess not after all,
Getting stuck in mtktools "Recovery and Boot"... I select recovery file, say no CWR, select boot.img and then I get "--- ERROR :Boot unthe public mailing list [email protected]" and " --- task is complete ---"
The files have exactly the same modified date so I guess nothing gets written.
Anyone with the same error? Does MTKDroidTools needs Cygwin and if so, what packages?
Thanks to all
If you have pulled the boot and recovery images from your fone and have selected and modded them then when you reflash them back you need to select and change the stock images for the ones stored in the recovery folder in mtkdroid tools, the scatter file should read 6575 as this is the scatter read from the fone. Also if you have the wrong drivers or they are not installed properly you will get errors.

We'll need to find the lines bootimg, recovery and Android. We'll need to write down Start-adress(Scatter) and the Size for every line.
(i made a screenshot, writing down isn't necessary.)
In MY Case, this is:
bootimg: 00F88000 size: 00600000
recovery: 01588000 size: 00600000
Android: 026E8000 size: 31900000
6. Now we'll need to click on "Create Scatter File" and you can save it as "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt"
How to take the process; I do not understand poe have to do and I would like your help please!

Sorry, but I can't explain it more understandable like in the OP of the linked thread. You have to save your phone's partitions informations into the mentioned scatter file, because you'll have to use that saved scatter file later in the tutorial.

Don't know if the phone is not being read correctly in mtktools or if the process of extracting the rom is not working. but 'm not getting any img on mtktools recovery folder. Maybe my drivers are not the correct ones.
Could you please post links to the VCOM and 975 ADB Interface drivers you used?
Thanks

I used pdanet adb/vcom drivers (only that driver worked for me) and newer flash tools than in the tutorial.

How do you intend to write an img if the device won't go into download mode, recovery, or boot for that matter? Maybe look into returning your phone.

He doesn't need to boot into there to use a recovery sdcard. Me, @noobtoob, @msmercy42, and others (very sorry for those I forgot to mention, I have a very limited memory!!!) took tricks that the N900A guys got for a hard brick solution and came up with one for the N900T. Now, we're assuming this can be ported out to all other N900X variants but this still has yet to be tested. It involves grabbing about 200MB from mmcblk0 and writing it to an sd card. Not just copying it, but doing a raw write of the image file to an sdcard via the dd if command in either terminal emulator or a Linux OS environment.
If someone here has a N900P, I'd be glad to walk them through the process of creating a unbrick image for the OP. It copies over bootloader information to boot from the SD card, not the device. NO SENSITIVE EFS INFORMATION IS COPIED!!! This method has been done enough times to say that at least. .
OP: when you plug your device into your computer do you at least get a QCHSUSB port or the notification that a device has been recognized by Windows? If so, this method should work. If not, you may have a hardware fault.

You can make your own if you follow the link op posted in his instructions.
So...will SOMEONE post a working image? Lol. I don't have a N900P but I'd like to keep a running archive of unbrick images (in addition to space hogging firmwares) in my mediafire account to post links to. This way it'll keep the consistency of image size and contents; and most importantly people won't need to wait for it to be generated/uploaded.

I cannot upload the actual file because it is too big (52mb). I sent you a pm. If you can upload it to a file share site and post it here that's cool. Just don't like uploading it from personal dropbox, they don't like me posting files to public sites for some reason.

Please need some help hard bricked and soft bricked
Hi guys I'm trying to unbrick my galaxy note 3 on mj4 I used above image had to add the .tar.img anyways I wrote it to a 8gb sd card and also a 64gb sd card both didn't work my phone is hard bricked and hard bricked because it stays stuck on the Samsung galaxy note 3 screen and when going in to recovery it says what the OP said and then mine keeps trying to root the phone with cf auto root every time I got lol in to recovery it does the same thing when I go in to download mode my computer doesn't recognize it I think it said unrecognized device so I can't flash anything with Odin any help is much appreciated as well as a donation
please am new here and really in need of assistance.
i just bought this device two weeks ago (verykool cyprus ll S6005. mt6580. kernel 3.18.19+ masrhmallow 6.0 linux
i tried to root this device with apps both via phone and pc without any result, but meanwhile i made a backup via default cwm which was just the user data since i could not gain access to root at that time. it ended with bootloop when i tried to install twrp. now in the procces of trying to get it back on track, i ended up bricking it. but still produce usb tone when connected to pc. i ended up getting rom but no image in the preloader. and the scatter file has only symbols like this ********************************** throughout. not even one word or number. And file_info also is filled with only symbol. After getting thing bit by bit from internet am at the point where where when i flash the rom, the yellow bar is 100% but this popup error:
ERROR
S_SECURITY_SECURE_USB_DL_DA_RETURN_INVALID_TYPE (6104),MSP ERROR CODE: 0X00)
the solution i tried to apply was to compare similiar device scatter text since i dont have any. thinking since they are of same model, having same kernel....might be of help.
so please i need assistance on how to get it back in working condition. thanks to you in advance.
Please anyone with link for verykool cyprus ll stock/firmware rom for me?

Best would be that this verykool company would give you the right firmware for it...
Could not find s6005, but found another one from verykool - S5524, which is quite similar...
Comparison: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8362&idPhone2=8213#diff-
Copied to my mega account because of the adfly crap in the link - and orig. might die someday.
https://mega.nz/#!O1clDIbY!5H-Mag22Khgmuebeezhr4PGY-peJGzWhknyanzGH1I8
(orig. came from here, https://www.needrom.com/download/stock-verykool-s5524/ )
I also saw your hovatek thread in my search results, this https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-26485.html
The partition count matches. Your pics don't show the partition table partitions.
From that S5524 you get a better scatter file. Notice that after userdata
the partition start addresses don't match. So you have to change them
accordingly. (Odd as the internal mem. size is the same...edit: seems that they are from the end <--)
Again do not tick that preloader if it works. S5524's might work or might not,
who knows.... Better avoid using it if not necessary...
BTW, make that firmware file of yours public, if you want it to be checked by someone...

Nope, it might not be a good idea. There is some differences.
In S6004 there is less, so it's probably a better choice.
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8363&idPhone2=8213#diff-
Though without knowing the hardwares in these, we are just guessing really...
But both probably have that same scatter you can use with that firmware of yours.
Or is it in a similar mess like its scatter?
If you haven't been able flash anything yet, you could also try to readback
the device and compare it to these different firmwares...

Okay, checked it with a hex editor. It's all the same. Every file is just some similar
garbage like in that scatter file. Nothing useful in it...

Removing the battery or connecting a testpoint to ground might help.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943442
Any hardware error probably will do..
edit: If opening the device is difficult, you might try a factory cable first.
No experience about them myself though...

Oh thank God! was able to get the tone back and flash my firmware using similar device's scatter text and preloader. Thank Jesus i did not apply format and download mode. I applied download only. could been worst i guess if format and download mode was applied. All thesame. NO POWER
I flashed similar device's S5524 scatter text but still no power. You will notice that the preloader in the firmware is as well corrupt. sp flash comes up with pop up error message each time the preloader from in the firmware is been applied. (NO IMAGE IN THE PRELOADER) should i try S5524 preloader?
I would try readback the preloader and check/compare it.
Maybe your battery is totally empty???

So, to do it, you change the region to boot1 and lenght 0x40000 that you get from the scatter file.
And notice that there is 2048 bytes extra at the start when comparing the dump to the one that is in those flashable packages, S5524's, S6004's or whatever.

As I said before, that firmware package of yours s6005 is total mess.
None of its files are correct, just some random garbage.
You seem to have done a lot after that mistakenly made full flash.
Hard to say what's in it if it's giving flashing errors and all...
Found possible source for s6005 firmware. Only but is the forum rules.
One cannot download until enough thanks and other activity.
But you probably can ask it anyway. Forum's language is Spanish....
