Take that Verizon. Disabling my features....for shame.
The settings can be unhidden easily with sqlite editor and root. It's located under settings storage/settings/secure. Hide_ui_user_powersaver.
If this is old news, then ignore. I couldn't find anything on it.

Actually i disagree on this one. I will bet the power saver doesnt describe what it does, which in most manufacturers case is just cripple the phone. Lowering the cpu speed and dimming the screen is not always the best way to save battery. And most people that dont know what it actually does. Then when their phone slows or screen dims it is returned as defective.

Well that's odd then. When my phone hit 14% it would go into power saver mode. Screen would dim and I couldn't get it back to max brightness until I started charging it.

Whats the best LED Notfication option for our S2?

I'm running Task635 ISC'D OUT V9 with BLN.
Is the BLN LED notification the best option for LED notification?
Does the LED notification use a lot of battery?
My phone went from 94% to 58% in 6 hours idle, I'm guessing the LED lights being on for about 5 hours could be the culprit.
You can also try no LED from the market it works well

does No LED use a lot of battery??
I had battery issues with noled. I haven't used it in a long time, but as it keeps the screen on, I assume it will hold a wake lock...so probably about the same battery penalty as BLN. Hoping someone can prove me wrong though...

No led does not keep the screen on. It puts a tiny icon that bounces around your screen and uses very little battery.

I keep forgetting to turn off my GPS

I have the touchwiz toggles and I love them. However I keep forgetting to turn my GPS off when I am done using it.
It's there a simple app that adds a widget to my home screen to tell me whether or not it is switched on?
Doesn't need to be a toggle just an indicator

why would you bother turning it on and off all the time?
there are a lot of programs that might need your location to work properly, plus its a PITA to constantly turn it on and off..
there are plenty of market widgets that allow you to turn that off and other things, plus, some roms have that ability in their pull down menus
For one thing it's murder on your battery.
And I have a great toggle in my pull down menu, I just want an icon on my actual home screen to remind me when it's left on

I leave my GPS and Wifi on all the time. I still get 10-16 hours of battery life. This way, when I get home or in any previously used Wifi it switches over automatically. Plus, launching any GPS related apps proves much quicker.

"murder"?
don't think so...
besides, why did you buy a full featured, smart phone, if you aren't going to utilize all that it offers?
as others have said, I still get a full day on my battery, and have tons of stuff running all the time.
Your GPS is only actually on when an app requests it. When its on there's an icon to show you its on and searching or on and fixed.
I use tasker to automatically enable the GPS whenever I launch an app that would use it and then disable GPS when the app is closed.

Battery life isn't great. Please help

OK guys so I see people getting 7-9hrs screentime on 4g and I don't nearly get that. In just 32minutes of use I lost 7%. I'm on 3g no WiFi gps or BT. Here are some screenshots. I tried clean ROM and jellybeanz with Perseus and stock kernels. Any idea? I'd like as much screen time as possible.
Thanks so much

This may sound rediculous but I notice somedays my battery runs down a lot quicker than other days. Doesnt make sense but thats how it seems to me. Are you using the cable that came with the phone and plugging into a wall outlet?
3g eats a lot more battery from what I have seen...LTE and Wifi are the easiest on battery. That being said I still don't think 3g should be causing that much drain...I bet you have a rogue app since the app usage shows 50%

Download better battery stats and grant it super user rights. Let your phone sit for a couple hours (without touching it) and pay your read out from it here. It seems like you have an app going crazy, but just simply looking at your installed apps won't help.

how many hours of screen usage on 4g do you get?
Thanks
Open it to grant super user. Then let your phone sit for at least an hour or two. It's best overnight. Then post your kernel wake lock, partial wake locks and alarms.
Sent from my SCH-I605 (AKA NOTE 2)
You had the phone on for 9hrs and only dropped to 93%? Why r u complaining.? 40 minutes screen time at 93% after 9hrs off charger isn't bad at all. If I'm seeing that right.
thats correct, but while using it for a straight 60mins, it drops over 15%

I had been waiting anxiously for this phone, but it seems like not all that many others were as evidenced by the number of threads/conversations in this forum. I remember with the EVO LTE, that it was crazy in that forum before the device landed (and then got stuck in customs)
For those who say 'it's way too big'. I remember the same thing said about the original EVO. After playing with this one for a few hours, it seems normal.
OP can you run some movies/videos and post battery life? I watch alot of youtube and other *cough* stuff on my phone and need to know how the battery handles after a few hours
Can you guys please keep on the topic and JUST post Battery Stats of the Max and dont discuss any other things about an Evo?

[Guide] Unhide Powersave Mode VZW

On the Verizon One Max it looks like the hidden powersave feature is automatically on, but just in case you wanted the option back in your settings:
1) Download SQLite editor
2) Navigate to /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/
3) Open settings.db and select Secure
4) Scroll down to hide_ui__user_powersaver and hide_ui_powersaver_connectivity (lines 91&92 for me, may vary)
5) Change the values in each of these options from 1 to 0.
6) Reboot and enjoy
Confirmed working on the VZW 4.4.2
You are awesome. Thanks again!
