Hello everyone, i tried to install experience 2.1.3
phone was rooted and had CWR, so i download the files:
i followed this tutorial:
theandroidromDOTcom
/install-sony-xperia-p-jb-experience-v2-1-3-custom-rom-android-4-0-4-ics/2/( i cant post outside links cause im new)
but didnt created a back-up now after i "installed" the rom the phone keeps bootlooping.
what can i do to fix it?
Download flashtool, 6.2.A.1.100 stock rom ftf, install drivers, and flash!
Sent my Carbonised Xperia P
Change rom or try to reflash that rom
If you want another rom without flash the stock:
-Download another rom compatible with your kernel
-enter in CWM(you can enter in cwm also in bootloop)
-mount and storage
-mount usb
-mount sd card
-copy the rom on sd
-unmount sd
-do the wipe that are request
-flash the rom
-(again wipe if that are request)
-reboot
Now you have another rom without flash the stock, otherwise use flashtool and flash the stock rom
If you want try to reflash this rom enter in CWM and follow the guide of the dev
(sorry for my bad english )
download the firmware for xperia p:
http://www.4shared.com/file/btiYhirl/xperia_p__lt22i__62a1100_ce.html
then flash it using flashtool:
(download link and guide)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614
problem not solved
the phone can be entered in cwr however if i try to enter it to fastboot, the blue leds turns on, but pc doesnt recognizes it nor allows me to install the drivers. xperia P has no sd card slot so its not possible to add a new rom D:
Its flashmode..... Drivers in /flashtool/drivers

Hi,
I have installed CWM-Revovery 5.0 via Xperia Flash-Tool (Newest Version) on my rooted X10i (with busybox). After this I have rebooted my device and created an backup on SD-Card!
Then I wiped all data and flashed this ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782771 "XPERIA S ICS" in the following order:
1.) Xperia S ROM (Was finished in only one second?!) 2.) ICS Launcher 3.) Google Apps 4.) ICS Addon Pack
After reboot my device stucks endless at the "Sony Ericsson" Logo and I can not enter the recovery anymore. I have also tried to Flash another ROM with plugged USB and Flash-Tool, but this also fails!
Any ideas please?
I hope my device is not fully bricked...
Thanks in advance for all helpful answers!
You were supposed to flash fxp kernel which has cwm recovery inbuilt after unlocking your bootloader. Then install the rom as directed. Try repair option via pc companion if flashtool isn't workin.
Sent from my xperia x10 running ics :what:
If you can access xRecovery, try to restore previous version of your ROMs after resetting facotry default and wiping partition and dalvik cache
If you can'tm check this video on how to flash an original firmware.
You'll need to download a firmware, and put it inside the firmware folder in the flashtool, then start the flashing as described in the video.

Dear Developer,
I've install Rom CM9.1 with CWM, but my phone wasn't running. IT's always at logo SONY. After that, I install back another rom, but the same thing, SONY always in my phone.
I don't know how to restore my phone?
I can only access fastboot.
Plz... Help me.
Wrong section.. Flash back use flashtool..
Flash the stock kernel with recovery and then a stock based rom.

I can't find stock kernel with recovery, and When I flash Kernel, I don't know what's doing next? (Sorry my english not good)
What worked for me was:
Extract CM9.1 kernel from zip
Put zip on internal SD card
Flash CM9.1 kernel with flashtool
Reboot to recovery with flashtool (or press buttons until recovery starts)
Install zip from SD card

I've done to comback stock ROM. Thanks all!
I have no ROM on my device after wiping all partitions. I have XCWM recovery installed. But since the Xperia U doesn't have an SD card slot I can't get a ROM on the device to install a new one.
I have tried the Sony Update Service already but since I unlocked the bootloader it is giving me an "modified firmware, can't continue" error.
Any ideas how I can install a new ROM?
Pete
try with flashtool to flash the stock and then put a rom on your damn amazing xu
Yea just flash ftf with Flashtool. And don't format the sd card next time!

Xperia Ray is st18i. Download right rom and try to flash it with full wipe. Don't use sus, if you want go back to stock use flashtool and ics ftf
Btw I never tried miui, but I think the custom kernel for miui is inside the zip.

If you have an unlocked bootloader you should be able to flash enter cwm
I would do it like this:
1. Take off the battery
2. Insert battery
3. Hold volume up
4. While holding it connect it to PC
(It's in fastboot mode to flash the kernel)
5. Flash an ics kernel with flashtool, flash the one you like (or see which is recommend for a miui rom for ST18i)
6. Unplug phone, boot in cwm
7. Mount usb and copy the zip of the rom for st18i to your phone
7.1 if this won't work, do
Code:
adb push name_of_the_rom_zip /sdcard/
8. Wipe data/factory reset -> wipe cache
9. Advanced -> Wipe dalvik cache
10. Install the zip
11. Reboot and enjoy
Should work
