Hello,
I just flashed with odin the new ICS firmware out on sammobile for sgs2 (I9100XXLP6 ##) which came with a file for PDA, for CSC and for Phone, but now that I am trying to flash again any 2.3.6. firmware I keep getting errors already at the start when associating my google account and stuff...
I assume that is because of the additional CSC and PHONE file that was included in I9100XXLP6 ## but I don´t know where to find the refering files for 2.3.6. firmwares since these only come with 1 file (for PDA)...
I would be glad for any help I can get
Hi,
Could you give more information about the errors? At what point do they occur? What errors do you get?
The csc files can be found somewhere on xda, use the search function. The file you need for the phone is called a modem, can also be found on xda.
Although I do not expect that this causes the errors, how did you restore? Did you while your phone and cache first?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
What 2.3.6 rom are u trying to flash on?
If the DL was dodgy it would cause problems, redownload and reflash
PIT: if included, also optional
PDA:Code
Phone:modem
CSC:multi csc
Did you do a full wipe?

Make sure you are back on the GB boot loaders and that you have done a full wipe.

greetings hello I commented that the same thing happened to me the only thing I do is flash with this version XWKK5
follow these steps:
1.Install again (XXLP6) completely.
2.turn off the phone and enter download mode and install the (XWKK5).
3. Once you install the XWKK5 completely. turn off the phone and go into recovery mode and perform the wipes
I hope to help and luck.
I hope you understand me and sorry but my English is a bit bad jejjee
I flashed this update, throuch odin, and now the phone will only boot into download mode or the screen that says to use kies recovery. The problem is, even though I can boot into download mode, the computer no longer recognizes my phone. No sounds when I plug it in or anything. If I plug a jig in, it will come on so it's not the port. Can someone help me?

You need a three part firmware, with modem, csc and pda, flash with pit and repartition, to do a full wipe. I think you used a non wipe firmware, that's the reason for the bugs.
Question
When you flashed the LP6, did you flash it with the .pit file too? I suggest you flash back to your stock ROM but you also have to flash a .pit file as well. This happened to me too when I flashed the KP8 ROM. I reflashed my stock ROM but it kept giving me errors at the initial boot. So I flashed my stock ROM again this time with the same .pit file. If I'm not mistaken it's this: u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4.pit

Did you get the 2.3.6 firmware? If not look at this thread from Infratech: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278. Have a good look at the section marked "Individual CSC Packages". Maybe this could help if you suspect a wrong CSC being the cause of your problem.
Hello,
I put the stock firmware of my S3 for the waranty but now I have an "CSC : unknown"
I have tried many firmware but can not restore the situation !!
Do you have an idea?
Thank you in advance
go to the phone dialer and input : *#272*(IMEI)#
Then choose your default CSC.
The phone will reboot and reformat your phone, so make sure all data has been backed up.
Thanks for your reply..but i have only one CSC "AUT"

Stock roms thread CSC post flash CSC .

I tried this when I used the suggested firmware downloaded from Fuscheck (BTU) I'm on O2.
When I typed it in on the keypad I got BTU displayed, clicked it and install, then I got an error saying something like 'must be at least THREE'
It won't install I managed to resolve the situation by downloading and flashing a firmware from Sam-Mobile, but I don't understand my issue, every time I want to upgrade my firmware I have to completely wipe the phone,. (OK I have titanium backup) but that's not the point. Surely there is a way of ODIN flashing a new firmware then re-rooting, without factory reset every time.
Is Fuscheck the best place to get the firmware upgrade?
Any suggestions/ ideas on my situation would be grateful, I can't really be spending half a day trying to unbrick the phone every time there's a update

You can download roms from www.sammobile.com/firmware. Thats where I get them from. Install with Odin v3 3.0.4.
If you are rooted you can flash firmware with Mobile Odin Pro and keep root.

Thanks for that. Helpful post.
I normally use Odin on my PC, and just flash through PDA.
I am rooted so is it just a case of flashing firmware from Sammobile then rooting the phone again (I use CF Root)
Hey,
I have somehow managed to brick my phone, here's how it happened..
I was using it, it was quite alright.. But then suddenly, the power button menu started appearing for no reason.. Then i couldnt use the power button at all.. But it got automatically resolved in the evening.
I found my camera to be very unsatisfying, so i updated the camera fw, and it was successful. No issues in the phone as such.
The next day, i found the phone stuck in a hard bootloop, unsolvable by taking the battery out and all.. The recovery mode resets into boot after like 3 seconds.
I put the phone in download and flashed a single file official rom from intratech's thread , that didnt solve anything.
So i thought that i had no option but to flash a .pit file and repartition the phone.
Now, i have an indian gt-i9100, and i looked everywhere for a .pit file , but i cant find a comprehensive guide which includes the .pit file.
I found this- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458&page=1
It has all the files, modem, code, and csc. Even the bootloader. But after downloading the package, i couldnt find a .pit file.
So i carried on with the multi file flash, voila, no recovery for me now. The phone still goes into download mode though.
I can carry on with the bootloader flash, but i wanted to try and clear and partitioning problems there might be, if any.
Please help.
Details of recent multi flash- XXLPH with the modem and csc files.
EDIT--
Just got the .pit file from the post mentioned above.. did the repartioning.. still the same problem ..

You simply need to flash a stock firmware that will wipe your phone.
If you don't know where to find it, let me know

No. You read my post wrong.
I said, you need to flash a special stock firmware that will wipe everything, including data on your phone. Stock firmwares naturally don't wipe data etc after flashing.
I'll post you the link as soon as possible

I tried flashing XXLPQ from intratech's thread.. Single file flash.. Still not working. It brought back recovery though, But it resets into boot again. Like after 3 seconds.
I m out of my wits here.. What the hell should i do to get this phone to work?
Is it hardbricked? Is it time for me to pay for the repairs at the nearest service center?

ok here try this
pit : http://www.mediafire.com/?pu1nh622wudgzey
Firmware: http://hotfile.com/dl/146748985/809318f/I9100XXLPH.zip.html
Kernel : http://www.mediafire.com/?65a5a59666hdopx
PASSWORD FOR EXCTRATING KERNEL : [email protected]
First flash pit .. once done remove usb , remove battery again get the phone in download mode
flash only kernel in pda once done remove usb , remove battery again get the phone in download mode
after that then flash pit and the firmware together
in firmware u will find 3 files
CODE -> PDA
MODEM -> PHONE
CSC -> CSC
I think you should choose flashing the stock firmwares, where you should wipe everything: caches, dalvik cache, factory reset; however, backup your files.
Flash the firmwares that'd give you that "fresh new feeling"
If flashing it once won't work, i think you could try flashing it again.
But i think you screwed up somewhere in the steps.. mmmm you could try using simple fw's.. ones where all the files are in one PDA file

I downloaded the proper I9300 ROM I needed for France provider SFR from sammobile.
But when I finished unrooting and rebooted, all the software was in German. Until, of course, the screen where I was allowed to change the language. But how can I be sure this is the right ROM? This phone is being sent back to SFR and if they hard reset it and see German, I'm bound to have trouble. Is there some definitive way that I con confirm this is the right ROM?
Please help!

its showing the default language german because of csc code, even you flashed the correct rom, did you checked that you have the correct csc code, check for you initial csc code from kies, and change to real one, if its not the correct one.

The CSC code I have is I9300VFGEMD1. I don't have the original one. I was told that if I reflashed to the stock ROM I'd be ok. Obviously wrong. Can you tell me how I get this back to the right CSC? I'm currently unrooted, running the stock ROM, and still seeing 1 on my flash counter.
THANK YOU if you or anyone can help me out. I'm reading 4 different threads right now to see where I went wrong.

the best way is to go to firmware upgrade and initialization in kies, and find out your initial csc code. you can use my guide from this post to find out your csc code, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47054049&postcount=3. after knowing your csc code you can download the firmware for yours from sammobile, flash it and change the csc code to real one from app found in playstore..
First of all find your csc code, download the firmware and flash it than post again if that much works or not, if not you can use Samsung Galaxy S / S2 / S3 CSC app from google play, link to the app: http://goo.gl/sWDwI0. if you have already flashed the correct firmware than use the app i listed to change your csc code to initial one.

I'm more confused now than ever. "The app when run says Connection problem or invalid MMI code."
Here's what I've done so far...
- Started with rooted phone, custom ROM that may have had a kernel installed with it as well (not sure, dont remember)
- Following THIS, binary counter reset didn't work.
- Stock recovery through Odin worked fine
- Stock ROM through Odin also worked fine. Sammobile listed it on THIS page as the right ROM when I selected GT-I9300 and France SFR on the pulldown menus. Flashing that worked fine but it showed up in German.
- Binary counter is still 1. My proper CSC is MD1 which the ROM I flashed has.
If you can please tell me where I go from here to go completely back to a fully unrooted stock so I can give this phone back to the mobile provider, I'd appreciate it because nothing I'm doing seems to be working now. I'm sending the phone back to them as trade-in for a new one.

were u rooted or not? well first get rooted and use the app with root mode. i think u didn't read note provided that: Root mode is required only on newer xxella roms. your phone have to be rooted, u can unroot it later. after using root mode you can see what your current csc code is and also change it to others.. do that to change ur csc code. and again use trialngle away to make the flash counter zero, but don't let ur phone to reboot, remove battery instantly after the screen says rebooting and put the phone in download mode again and flash the firmware from odin. after this u will even get flash counter 0.

1. Sorry, but the first thing I said was that I "started with rooted phone".
2. I know what my CSC code is now, I found out with KIES. It's MD1. I already have the correct ROM
3. Triangle Away doesn't do this reeboot that everyone says. It just says that I'm running custom kernel or recovery. I tried after stock recovery and it still didn't reboot.
Thanks

well u r making me confused completely.. if u r rooted, cant u use that app in rooted mode to change the csc code? if u can use that do that first.. if u are not rooted now, root it first and use the app as i said.. after that use triangle away to make the flash counter 0. i know that there is something missing in the guide u used for triangle away..the missing thing is: when the triangle away finishes its work, don't let it to reboot, else it will again make the counter 1. so don't let it reboot, remove the battery after completing the reset counter step.. and again flash the firmware u downloaded.. everything will be fine if u do what i m telling. after doing what i tell, u will get flash counter 0, phone will be unrooted and also ur default language will be as it was for the first time u booted ur phone when u bought it.

I'm sorry, a misunderstanding I think. I was referring to what I have already done. But when I WAS rooted, I tried TriangleAway and it did NOT reboot like you say. It simply said I was on a custom recovery and that I had to get a stock recovery. I did the stock recovery and it STILL did not reboot.

Sticky threads are at the top of each forum in the desktop version of the forum, and have a push pin icon on the left. On the mobile version of the forum, I think there is a separate tab for the sticky threads.

Well, I don't know exactly what you did to mess with the imei/efs. Without a backup, it's going to be difficult to recover from that problem. Frankly, I don't know enough about it to be of any help. I think I've read that you can get the phone working with a generic IMEI but you can't get the original IMEI back. But again, it's just speculation on my part. Maybe someone else who knows more will jump in.
when I had this issue I flashed with odin back to JB 4.1.2 stock and that seemed to fix it, don't know if it will be work for you but its worth looking into

i tried to downgrade to ics 4.0.3 but always fails with odin, i was looking into the version of the firmware by typing *#1234# and in it says:
PDA : 1777UCMD8
PHONE: Unknown
CSC: I777ATTMD8
is there any way to get the phone file, i see in odin that it has a phone option, so, i'd like to try and flash that file and see, any idea where to get it for JB 4.1.2?

yes but regardless of you currently being on 4.1.2 you can still reflash the stock jb 4.1.2 firmware via odin, you can try redownloading the image file since you might have a case of a corrupted image.
I agree that you should attempt to flash stock ucmd8 again after re-downloading the file. You should flash the .tar.md5 version. Odin will check the md5 sum of the file before flashing and only flash it if it is not corrupt. You can find a download for it in the Download Repository. It's the very last item at the bottom.

By the image file, he means the firmware file. I put a link to the Download Repository in my last post, and it is also in my signature on every post. Did you download from there and try flashing that file? If not, please do that as your next step.

At this point, downgrading to 4.0.3 is probably not a solution. From all the information that you have posted so far, it appears that your phone either has a firmware issue such as corrupt memory, or a hardware issue such as damaged eMMC memory. It is also possible that a necessary step is being skipped, such as performing a wipe data/factory reset from within recovery. Although both myself and 4-2ndtwin have mentioned that you should do that, you have never specifically stated in any of your three threads that you followed our advice.
So first things first, have you performed a wipe data/factory reset from within recovery? Have you included this step with every attempt to flash a firmware through Odin3?

i now flashed to 4.0.4 and got stuck on rethink possible screen too, im almost giving up ._. nothing seems to work x_x.
Don't give up just yet. Try going all the way back to i777uckh7 firmware. If it doesn't boot. Power off, reboot recovery, wipe data/factory reset, then reboot. If successful, save ur EFS folder 1st, back it up with an app or Root Explorer, etc. Save it in a few places, external sdcard, pc. Then u could proceed to update to JB or wherever u r wanting to go.

I agree with 4-2ndtwin. Don't give up, and follow his suggestion.
In fact proceed according to the following sequence. If Step 1 solves the issue, stop there, otherwise proceed to step 2, and then if necessary step 3.
Step 1) 4-2ndtwin's suggestion. Download "I777UCKH7-CL503881 FULL tar.md5" from the section titled I777UCKH7-CL503881 Stock Binaries. Flash with Odin3 v1.85 (preferred version). Perform wipe data/factory reset from within recovery.
Step 2) Download the Tar version of Siyah 2.6.14 Kernel. Flash it in PDA. Without ticking Re-Partitioning. Next repeat Step 1 above.
Step 3) Download the SBL Bootloader from the Download Repository. Flash it as PDA in ODIN, without ticking Re-Partitioning. (Please observe normal bootloader flashing caution.) Next repeat Step 2 above.
To recap the above for clarity:
Step 1 - I777UCKH7 full distribution --> wipe data/factory reset
Step 2 - SiyahKernel v2.6.14 --> I777UCKH7 full distribution --> wipe data/factory reset
Step 3 - Secondary Bootloader --> SiyahKernel v2.6.14 --> I777UCKH7 full distribution --> wipe data/factory reset
