Kit Kat has recent button

Am I the only one who prefer menu button rather than recent app button?
Long-press on home button does the job already.
But reaching 3-dots menu overflow at top right corner for me is PITA

Well I get your point, but some apps engage the 3-dot menu dropdown even when you press on the menu button, so you'll have to move your finger anyway

I prefer a last apps button, that can function as slide aside.
Recent apps is easily accesible by longpressing home

I truly hated having to long press home for recent apps on my OG RAZR as the delay was irritating, having had the recent apps on my GNex, I missed it...although, being that the G2 is much faster than the OG Droid, it may not be an issue....so far not having the option hasn't bothered me/

The G2 has the recent apps screen, you just need to hold down the home button for a couple seconds to open it.

open your app drawer and hit the menu button. then select edit. it will have you change your view type to customizable grid. that will allow you to drag **** down there. don't forget to hit menu again and save afterwards.
Just got mine.....this is just a quick setup as I have to setup my wife's new SkyRocket (my old phone)....else if I don't...I will pay the price

[Q] Need help identifiing an indicator icon in the notification Bar

Hi,
Since this morning, I've got a new indicator icon in my notification bar (at the upper left corner, the arrow with a minus sign in it, see this screenshot :https://www.dropbox.com/s/e68h3jsh9nc0m6v/2012-06-11 21.10.50.png).
Does someone know where it comes from ? I thought at "Ring scheduler", but this isn't the usual ring scheduler icon :-(
Thanks Seb
This is the icon for "notifications disabled", it simply hides the notifications. You can toggle this behavior in the shortcut list [next to energy saving, it's the letter "i" in a circle] when dragging down the notification bar.
Can't see the pic for sone reason but sounds like notification. Flick down the status bar and turn notifications back on.

Search is the only solution. Generally scanning the threads on the GS3 forums doesn't work. Too many official indian/UK/Australian/new Zealand/canadian/Singapore etc threads all over the place.

I have a mysterious icon on the notification bar.
A small padlock in the far right next to clock
Any ideas please?

Just install, enable multiple widgets from settings, open lock screen, swipe from top to bottom to activate multiple widgets, swipe right to add a new widget, select clock and configure as you like and hit the check mark to add, now swipe left till you get back to stock widget, long press and delete, and enjoy!!
Good luck!!

Wallpaper link/upload? Thanks! It's awesome!
I am not completely certain on the source here, but believe it may have come from Zedge originally.
DashClock is also compatible with the S4 since it is running 4.2.+. Similar to cLock and has a fairly good amount of extensions/plugins for various notifications.
Thanks for posting the wallpaper. That one looks good on a lock screen.
Is there any way to use lockscreen widgets with security?

Rooted gestures question

Does anyone know of an xposed module that will let me swipe down notifications from anywhere in the screen without changing launchers?
There's a button you can add in the display setting

Sorry I should have been more specific. I meant a swipe down gesture from anywhere on the screen like you can do worth third party launchers. But thank you for the quick response.

I used to use an app called gmd autohide softkeys. You can set it up any way you want. You'll need to disable the stock navbar. I figured ide better get used to some stock stuff cause everytime I get a new phone I have to use multiple apps to get it the way I like. Center clock is one of those things I can't live without.

I think there is an option to always show it. And it let's you use any spacing you want. Maybe play with it and see if you like it. There is a free version.
