Hello guys, i'm going directly to the point. I was trying to root my mini pro and succeeded, buy i screwed up my build.prop and the phone is in a reboot loop. I spend the afternoon trying to find solutions but cant seem to fix it, this is what i tried:
- adb cant recognise the device
- I didnt install any recovery tool
- SEUS wont let me restore (it says that i have the lastest version and wont give any option to force it)
- PC Companion does something similar to SEUS
- Can't flash it and restore, i didin't unlock the bootloader, and i need adb to do it.
Anyone can help? Maybe i'm missing something when trying to use adb? maybe there is another more obscure way to unlock the bootloader without using "msm7227_semc.cmd"?
Thanks in advance...
EDIT: By the way, i made a copy of build.prop before toying around, so i know is there...

flashtools and the firmware used in chavitorg and proceeds to flash the device, if not enter flash mode press the three keys on the mini but the power button with the cable connected to PC, and you will recognize the flash mode.

Thanks for the help, but i cant seem to find the word "chavitorg" or with b or anithing similar, not in google, not in xda. I doesn't look like a misspelling on any of the guys that post tutorials or flashes.
SEUS, PCC and flashtools already recognizes the device in flash with down volume alone, and the device has 4 keys + power, not 3 (vol+ vol- home and camera)

I am not sure how i managed to do this, does when i was trying to unlock my boot loader with the test point method using s1tool or when i press the Repair TA button on Octopus SE Suite.Since then i can not enter in flash mode on my wt19i.It just shows the Sony logo and starts charging. Before this i was able to flash it normally.I`ve tried every possible flashing tool but all of them are asking me to enter the flash mode manually. (Unplug cable, power off, press and hold Volume down key and insert the usb cable).Where could be the problem?I have read many treads but i couldn`t managed to find a solution. Please help.Thanks.
Have you installed the drivers provided in flashtool?
And install pc companion to get drivers, too!

Check here bro, http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/151266
I saw this when I googled,
"press volume down button and then home button"

Yes they are installed. Here is an image where i can see that the ADB drivers are installed.(Highlighted area).
I`ve tried this also.I know that i must hold only the volume down key wile inserting the cable.I`ve done this few times few weeks ago.But something is messed up and i think its when i was trying the testpoint method using the s1tool.Is there any option in s1tool for reseting the phone to its original state?
Come on guys, no one had this problem before? Is it software or hardware related?
Update...
Is it possible that somehow buy upgrading to 4.0.4, key combination for entering in flash mode is changed?

And you turn your phone off and after that you hold volume down and connect while holding volume down to pc and there's no green light? Is it orange or what happens?
EDIT:: Just found this thread, and there's same problem solved. But you will need the original WT19i_35850804005723_11-02-2012_20-51-48.TA file and I don't know where to download it. Maybe contact ramezzidane (in the thread) and ask him where he found the .ta file or if he could upload it for you, because it seams that Octopus SE Suite has overwritten some things like fastboot mode etc. Hope it'll help you

When i get the prompt from flash tool i:
Unplug the phone
Turn off
hold down the volume - key
plug the usb cable to the phone
No color light at this point
On the phone appears the Sony logo
i hear a sound like new device plugged on the pc (No driver installation window on the taskbar)
The light goes orange and battery icon appears on the screen showing that is charging
That`s all.
Is there any method other than with Octopus Suite for rewriting TA?

No.My bootloader is locked.
dude it may be driver problem
do one thing
go to device manager in windows 7
in bottom most u see "universal serial bus controllers"
expand the menu and uninstall all usb drivers(option in right click)
restart ur pc and now try to connect again
Have you tested your volume down key on Android? Maybe it doesnt work since you tried to unlock your phone...
In addition, i would try in another computer, installing drivers from the beginning.

You could try to flash the content of the ftf manually, but that's dangerous, cause if it doesn't work your device is bricked and you can't enter flashmode anymore to flash stock firmware.
And you can't repair via pc companion, cause you can't enter flashmode to flash the firmware again and you can't repair using sony update service, cause it's the same?
If you're sure it isn't a driver problem (install flashtool drivers and pc companion and restart pc) it should be only solved with flashing the ta, but that can only be done in flashmode and you can't enter it, right?
So is your device rooted, then unroot (if possible) and bring it to service center. They should repair it, but I can't promise. Tell them (cause flashing with flashtool voids warranty), that you had a problem and you wanted to repair using pc companion and you couldn't because you can't enter flashmode. That's the only method I think, except from writing the ta again. But don't know if they would repair it for free or if they can solve the problem...
Maybe we can find another solution for your problem
My phone was network locked few hours ago. I was trying the test point method again and now its locked totally. It is not accepting any sim cards.I read a post here on the forum where the guy was explaining this procedure so at the end he managed to fix the flashmode. But as he stated the phone will remain network locked. For that he mentioned the setool method for network unlocking. For me went bad.Now my phone is network locked and the key combination still doesn`t work.So now can you give me the cheapest way to unlock my phone first and then go back to my first problem. Is there any chance to get it unlocked by the IMEI number? All of the keys on the phone are working very well but i still can`t enter in flash mode.I tried flashing on another computer with fresh windows installation but it`s same. It`s not driver related i am sure.Ether is wrong key combination or is that TA thing. Thanks to all of you guys for your efforts, but i must find a way to fix these problems.
Update...
Ok Guys.I`ve take the phone to a local repair service and they`ve managed to fully unlock it.It cost me 10 eur for that. Now on the bootloader status in the service menu says "Yes" instead earlier when it was "No".But i still have the Flashmode problem.I hold the Vol - key while plugin in the cable and the phone just starts charging with a orange light indicator.Where could be the problem i really don`t understand?Any idea?
I think the problem is the ta. Octopus may have overwritten some functions like flashmode. But I don't know exactly if it works to rewrite ta...
And what should i do next now?The newest i've noticed is that my GPS is not working anymore.I think that it's the ICS version but i am not able to reflash it.Comon is there no one that had this problem?
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
The guy from the mobile repair store told me that when i was doing the test point method i`ve broken something in the JBS or JVS.I didn`t understand him very well. And he told me that he somehow managed to unlock my phone but about the flashing problem he said that i will never may flash the phone again. Is this ok or?

you have qualcomm bootloader when you get "format disk window". If, DO NOT FORMAT! This will brick your phone.
Dload is locked.

It doesn't have to show up the "format disk window" message, it simply says installing drivers click on it if its qualcomm, you're lucky, if its dload well then, you'll have to wait like me.

when I do that my phones just on normaly.
What abt that
Hey there, I have and Xperia U unlocked bootloader and rooted device, before a week I used an app called Multi Mount SD Card Mounter to mount the internal storage, while I was doing some stuff on my pc by mistake I burned an ISO of backtrack on it(selected Phone SDcard instead of flashdrive), while it was formatting, I quickly removed the usb.
After a while I inserted it into my pc and what i found was message "Do you want to format?" So I tried to format it but it failed, later on I opened CWM and select Mount USB Storage and I was able to format it to FAT file system. but when I connected it when the phone was booted up, I still got "Do you want to format ?"
So I googled and found some commands to re partition the storage (adb or mkfsdos etc), plus one more command to remount the sdcard,
finally I got my internal storage but it was only 128KB partition!!, plus no files in it. While I was able to mount my real sdcard from CWM, the booted phone couldn't recogize it and saying "sdcard damaged" couldn't mount. etc, Couldn't perform format sdcard from CWM too. (error mounting sdcard)
Atlast thought to reboot phone and try again but it didn't, No Charging LED, no fastboot, no flashmode nothing...
Just blank!
Bricked totally..
I sent my phone to sony center, they said motherboard is damaged it needs to be replaced costing around 50% of my phone price. I took it back from center without any repairs and what I found was I got the red charging led when I charged my phone.
I tried many combinations vol up vol down power(for 15 seconds and all everything)
I cannot boot my phone into flashmode nor fastboot no CWM (PC doesn't detect the device) just the charging led..
I think I've messed up with the bootloader or something.
If any possible solutions please help...
Thanks in advance..

IF your phone doesn't boot you'll need to use USB cable and flashtool or fastboot to recover, but since your usb port is broken i guess there's nothing you can do sorry
I would send the phone to sony service to get the usb port fixed...
Edit: one more thing, candy rom is not stock based and requires an unlocked bootloader, if you didn't unlock your BL before flashing that's why you bricked.... but you could still recover if your phone usb port worked.

Flashing any stock rom should fix your kernel problem now either flash a .ftf with flashtool, or try recovering your phone in sony pc companion.
I prefer flashtool for flashing as i never had problems with it and it's easy to set-up and work.
If you don't know how to use flashtool take a look at this: http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/06/01/debrand-your-xperia-z2-tutorial/
Hope you get your device fixed :good:

Humm weird, try flashtool once again, maybe with another .ftf or another pc, select all wipes, choose flashmode, make sure your phone is completely powered-off, when flashtool asks to connect just keep pressing volume down and plug the usb cable. flashing should start fine now.

Nope after 1 minute flash mode turns off automatically soo now here is what I did
Step 1 downloaded sony c s
Step 2 installed supprot
Step3 press update device without contcing to pc
Step 4 chose repair
Step 5 go with it and put it in flash mode
Step 6 before it finishs it will take a long time
Then it will only charge you can't press the power button for some reason
Step 7 go to flash tool start flash mode and it will reboot automatically
Step8 you will be in safe mode go to settings and format the phone
Step 9 it will reboot and into normal mode
Step 10 root through king root and termanil to make it a real root not temporarliy
Step 11 enable usb debugging and install recovery
Step 12 copy the rom from pc to recovery
Step 13 installed the rom everything is amazing except for one problem
I still can't press the power button I don't think it's hardware help me
That's it thanks for everything tell me if you know anything about the power button
@Sal7_one Wow that was way more complicated than it should but i'm glad your phone is working again :good:
Did you open your phone to fix the usb port? or did you send it somewhere? unfortunately the power button situation does seem like hardware problem...

@Sal7_one humm pwr button working when it wants and sim card problems... that sounds like a bad repair job they probably left a cable / connector loose inside your phone :| i would take it to the same place and make them check / repair the phone again
