Samsung galaxy s5 reset knox counter
Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

This has been covered a few times.
As of this moment, there is no way to reset the Knox counter.
Once it is tripped it's done.

Rumor is that it's a qfuse/efuse, so it may be literally impossible to reset without hardware modifications.

I think we are getting closer, and we're finding out its not an efuse.

A word of caution that this root workaround to not trigger the Knox flag is only for rooting the device. Flashing a custom recovery and/or custom rom after this root workaround still triggers the Knox flag to increase as listed in the FAQ.
It is a start but its not the full solution. Still good to have for those that are just buying the Note 3 or not rooted their device yet that have been waiting for a workaround.

Me too. If I could get just root without flipping that flag I would be such a happy camper. I'm sure it'll come.

Will this work for people who have already triggered the binary KNOX counter? Will this reset it or is it a rooting method that doesn't flip the switch?
Edit: Nevermind, I can't read apparently. The answer is No and No/Yes.

It's just a method that doesn't flip the switch. It will not reset the counter if it has been flipped. Also it's for root only. flashing a custom kernel/recovery will still pop the knox flag.

Does anyone have the full sdk for a non rooted Verizon Galaxy Note 3 user? I just want KNOX installed on my device.

Actually I'm kinda curious if you could downgrade to MI3. Root it. Use xposed to fake the system status. And get the ota. Without loosing root. Or tripping a knox flag.
Guess I'll have to free up some time to go read through the other thread.

None of the 'Secret Codes' working

I can't use ANY of the Samsung secret codes, like *#1234# or *#*#1234#*#*.
What does that mean and how do I fix it?
You've probably disabled or corrupted the software responsible, either undo what you've done or reflash.

In theory anyway. It allows someone to determine if you've flashed the device, but doesn't guarantee they'll deny your warranty or insurance claim.

Galaxy s3 kitkat knox

Alright everyone of us is waiting for the release of Android 4.4.2 for our device. But does anyone knows if this firmware update, changes the bootloader and adds Knox compatibility? Like Knox warranty 0x0 or something like that that s4 and note 3 has?
Use the sticky thread for discussion of 4.4, it's only vapourware for the i9300 so don't hold your breath.

OK and if I have previously rooted Mt phone, when I was on Android 4.3 without Knox, and then used triangle away, and restored my phone to official, and applied the firmware update to 4.4 Will I have any issue with Knox?
Thanks in advance

Knox doesn't use eFuse.
We're not getting 4.4 so no need to worry about it.
First, already Samsung Galaxy s3 sprint got kitkat and it's very unlikely for us not to receive the kitkat. Second, I don't mean the Knox application,,but the bootloader, I know about efuse but I'm not sure about something. For example if Samsung was sure that they will develop later a software like Knox and had put efuse inside the s3, but inactive until this update,?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
The sprint s3 has different hardware, the i9300 won't be getting official 4.4. Don't see what the fuss is about, having used 4.4 on the s4 I was only impressed by how many things didn't work, like flash and any apps that use the external sd.

You can try towelroot depending on what version software you have.
And you should be able to downgrade without having issues. Haven't tested that with the newest firmware though.
Has anyone been successful using towelroot to root there Gs5 without tripping knox? Thanks

Do some research before trying this. But you go to towelroot.com on your phone and download the apk. After downloading the apk go to settings on your phone and allow installing apps from unknown sources. Then install the apk and run the app.

towelroot may not work on firmware nf6 or ng3 basically any firmware after ne6 cannot be rooted with towelroot. however you can downgrade to ne6 , root with towel;root . and then upgrade and retain root with mobile odin pro. here is my thread regarding this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2790292

If you have handset protection from TMOBILE I wouldn't worry about tripping KNOX. The only warranty knox trip affects is the warranty that comes with the phone from Samsung. Nothing voids the premium handset warranty including throwing your phone at the wall on purpose . Tmobile would rather replace a knox tripped phone rather than replacing one that is ran over by a car. If you don't have premium handset insurance then I understand why you wouldn't want to trip it

There are literally dozens, if not hundreds of threads about this.
If you have any S5 model other than the 900H, simply use Odin to revert to a pre-June 3rd build of 4.4.2 stock firmware and then use Towel root.
As simple as that.

Since you are skeptical, you should look at a dozen or two of the threads on the subject to read other poster's descriptions of doing so successfully. And draw your own conclusion.
