Can somebody please help me. Whenever I turn on my 3G, the signal of my sim automatically goes off. For example, when I use 3G on sim1, the signal goes X. Same with sim2. I have been trying a lot to change roms and tried a lot of stock roms but still whenever I turn on the 3G, the signal is gone. Please, if anyone could explain or tell me what to do, I'd appreciate it very much. TIA

yes, absolutely available.

I have T-Mobile version of this phone but I use it with Mobilicity.
Any time I go into a place that has no reception I obviously lose signal and both the bars and the 3G icon disappear.
However, when I leave that area and come back to the area where I had reception, the 3G icon never comes back. When I attempt to make a call I a get a message saying "not registered on network". If i go to wireless settings and try to manually search for a provider, the phone will only find Roaming.
The only thing that solves the problem is rebooting the phone.
I have Bionix 1.9 rom but this issue happened on stock as well. It also happens to another guy that has Vibrant9 rom.
On the other hand, other phones like the old samsung galaxy doesn't have that issue.
Any ideas. Am I missing some settings option?
Thanks...
I can only tell you I have exactly the same problem. Using it with Mobilicity.
Let's hope someone will come up with a fix.
A guess is that it has to do with the order in which it is searching to network operators after it loses signal. I am not sure how the phone is hard coded, but it is possible that upon reboot, it checks the SIM for which network to lock on to, but without a reboot it is looking for T-Mobile, because that is hard coded into the phone.
This is all a guess, but perhaps setting it to Manual network selection instead of automatic would help lock it on your network.
^yes, I think if you take it off the auto setting in your mobile network, that may solve the problem. Even though I'm with TMO we had a 3g outage and while it was on auto the same message came up for me, even after the outage was over. Set it to wcdma only, and I was able to make calls and get back on the network.
Setting it to Manual will just force us to do it manually every time it gets disconnected.
Not a solution, unfortunately.
Thanks guys,
Is there an application perhaps that will search for available networks and register on the network of your choosing once found?

Where you able to find a solution to this problem? I'm having the same problem. Let me know. Thanks.
+1111111.... i meant plus 1... but yeah ...i'm having the same problem... Vibrant on Mobilicity w/ Froyo Rom from Axurus <-- i think thats how u spell it
Anyways, this happends while im at home, sitting on the same chair as i was when i had the 3G...and then boom..............3g just disappears and doesn't come back til' i restart....
Have you tried setting the mobile network to "WCDMA Only" ?
Mobilicity doesnt have a GSM network.
Here is my problem,
If I put the phone on "automatic" it will stay on gprs/edge but i will have good cell signal. If I put it on WCDMA then i get 3g /hsdpa
Normally in my area I get 3g on an iphone with no problem. But with the galaxy s2, it doesn't show up unless i select wcdma.
Why is that? and what could be wrong? Why doesnt it auto switch away from edge to hsdpa/3g ?
I'm using Ki4 modem
I had the same issue before I moved to 2.3.5
Also, try with disabling fast dormancy(*#9900#) and see if that makes a difference for you.
Thanks,
Vishal
Hi All,
I got the CyanogenMod 11 snapshot m12 in my HTC one x+. My 3g/lte connection automatically switches to edge and the network connection goes off but the signal strength indicator shows it as full range. I am not able to call or receive call unless I reboot or toggles to aeroplane mode. This also happens automatically when I get a call while 3g is enabled. Is this a problem with my network or something with the cyanogenmod? Is there any tool available to check if anything is wrong with my phone. ?
Thanks in advance
I am using the international version of HOX+
Tried flashing the boot.IMG? How about a LOGCAT
I have flashed the boot.img. I am getting 3g when i reboot. But some times the network automatically switches to edge and my phone goes out of the network. I dont identify it till I try to make a call because the network range icon shows full range . then I have to reboot to fix it. This problem also happens when I get a call while 3g is enabled and then it switches to edge after the call is finished. And the phone goes off the network.

Hi,
I intend to know if it is possible to use data on 4G along with attending a call (2G/3G) on the other SIM on the Xiaomi POCO F1.
For instance, I'm using 2 SIM cards, 1 is a 2G/3G BSNL, and the other carrier is (Yes, you guessed it right) Jio, which works only on 4G network and VOLTE.
I want to know if it is possible to somehow keep using internet data on JIO, even if I receive a call/SMS on the other SIM, without a network disconnection in between. I've tried to tweak some settings, to achieve this, but couldn't find a way. Searched on Google as well, but no help. For Most of them, Dual LTE works fine. But no one mentioned about a combination of 2G and 4G. So, if someone has been successful in achieving this, please share your settings and screenshots if possible. Also, I'd like to know if there is some work around if the phone doesn't support this.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
