I was having NO luck with any of the ODIN files to restore the factory baseband from the leaked ICS modem. I FINALLY found a flashable zip to restore the factory baseband. Here's the link: http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyNote/modems

I'm a GS3 owner and just flashed the ROM I9300XXDLJ5_I9300ODDDLI7_INU.
I would like to flash the SpeedMod kernel but before doing that I need to know how do I install the stock kernel if needed.
Can you point to the right direction?

If you make a backup, resorting the backup will also restore the kernel
I did, but I don't want to restore the whole thing... all I want is to restore the kernel if needed.
Tell me, extract boot.img from India ROM and make a new .tar with this single file will work?

Try to search forum or Google to find your stock kernels flashable zip or tar . Download it.. it will works. But pay attention to ICS / JB difference.. flash right kernel.

you could also extract it from the ROM's file and flash it I guess.

Extracted boot.img from Sammy Indian Rom and made a new .Tar using S3 Toolkit.

I checked software updates for my phone and detected a new software (as the title says). I've downloaded the file but for some reason, the installation always aborted. Can someone please look into this and create a flashable (CWM) version?

Do you UNLOCK the bootloader, ROOT your Phone and flash new CWM? If yes, you must flash original recovery and RE-LOCK bootloader
I tried searching for original recovery but failed. Do you have a copy on hand?

I have extracted my Recovery from an RUU File which is from HTC ASIA
RUU_PRIMO_DS_ICS_40A_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.60.707.5_Radio_1.05.34D.29_20.21.30.23U_release_264526_signed.exe
and this Stock Recovery.img has worked with my INDIA Stock Rom 1.60.720.7, too
I restored the original recovery and relocked the phone but still, can't update the software after downloading the file. It updates but stopped at around 25%, flashed the "X" mark on the screen and hung. I badly want my phone to be up to date. Hope someone could upload a latest .zip file that I can install by CWM.

if u flash the deodexed ROM u must restore u previos ODEX ROM state and flash original boot.img
Woah! That's a lot of files... original boot.img and ODEX ROM. Need to search them around this forum and internet. Gotta find a "Asian WWE" ROM.

Were you ever able to make one? I'm getting issues with data on tmobile with my Z2 on all non-stock roms. I'm clearly missing something but haven't found jack on the subject yet. Nobody's even responded once in weeks. This is bizarre.
No the guide didn't work the same for z2 ftf files unfortunately.
