Black Screen XT910 - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello. I'll start with that I am NOT phone geek and this is the first time I'm doing any of this stuff.
I own a XT910, but I heard that you can get it use 4.4. So I followed some guides (and failed I suppose) and firstly rooted phone using EternityProject EasyRootICS v1.5 and then http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1751826 for recovery backup.
I downloaded http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=spyder (cm-11-20140718-NIGHTLY-umts_spyder) and tried to install it using clockworkmod (Install ROM from SD Card) at first it displayed that it cannot open the folder, I tried again and I think it did it, but now all I can see is black screen on my phone. I did the recovery again, holding vol keys and power, and it did flicker then I clicked them again went to recovery and did factory reset, but it still doesn't work. All I can see is black screen.
Any ideas how to fix it?
Sorry for trouble.
#edit
Fixed by installing 4.1.2 Fastboot.

[Q] Help with recovery on Optimus One P500?

Ok, So I've recently updated to stock gingerbread 2.3.3 with baseband .35. I rooted my phone with the SuperOneClick method. Root was successful (Finally).
I then wanted to install a custom ROM, so I installed ClockworkMod's ROM manager, flashed the clockwork recovery image and everything. I decided to make a backup image in case I didn't like the new ROM. I then selected the "Backup Current ROM" option, and left my phone to it's own devices. When I got back about 5 minutes later, I find that I have a hard reset on my hands :| To add to that, I don't even have a backup image!
I tried doing that a couple times more, once, I even held the POWER+VOL.DOWN+HOME combo and all. The same thing happened each time. The recovery backdrop and a sliding progress appeared, after about 4 seconds, the progress bar stopped moving, it shifted back to the LG boot logo. If I kept the combo pressed, it would go on and on for about 5 times, if I released it, it would just continue on to the boot and I would get another hard reset every time. I tried "Reboot into Recovery". Same thing. Once, I selected "Install ROM from SD card", with the backup option selected. Somehow or the other, due to the combo or something, I came to a screen that had four options.
1) Reboot
2) Install from SD card:update.zip
3) Wipe data
4) Wipe dalvik cache and cache
I was able to scroll up and down with the volume rocker, but the only other button that worked was the Home button, which toggled between the screen I mentioned above and a screen where all of the text was removed and there was just the recovery background. I finally popped out the battery and booted, and got yet ANOTHER hard reset.
HELP!
It seems Clockworkmod recovery was not flashed correctly. What you see is the stock android recovery. The recovery key mapping is:
volume rocker-up/down
menu (left most button)- select current option
back - go back
the behaviour you see when pressing the home button is normal.
After using Rom manager to install CWM recovery, it is not recommended to do further operations through rom manager, best uninstall it. Instead, boot into recovery using the three button combo and do operations from there.
I would suggest try again to re-flash CWM recovery.

Thanks, but do you have any idea WHY using ROM manager is a bad idea? Just curious.

Well, one reason I've encountered is that while flashing cwm recovery, if the download fails for some reason, Rom mananger has flashed the incorrectly downloaded file without verification resulting in a fastboot semi-brick for many users.
Another reason is related to the way it operates the recovery. I'm not very sure about this point, but I've seen many people having problems with backups and flashing.
Thanks, you were brilliant. I flashed another recovery from ClockworkMod, this time with a WiFi connection, and everything worked great.

[Q] Factory Reset Screen instead of CWM - resolved

Howdy,
I restored the NT to 1.4.0, then tried to install CWM via a variety of methods. All resulted in a temporary flash of the white CWM screen, then overlaid by a black screen with a Factory Reset Dialog. I just tried TWRP with the same result. Here is what I did:
1. Removed the SD card.
2. Held down the power and N until the screen turned black
3. Installed the SD card with the NT off.
4. Plugged in the power cord from the wall-wart.
5. White CWM or TWRP screen temporarily appears
6. Cursed Factory Reset dialog appears.
I have searched the forum, tried the different approaches, but still the same result. I rooted the NT once before and had an early version of CM7 installed. I restored to factory after WiFi and root stopped working.
Any suggestions?
Best,
MIke
Resolved - Used Universal Boot Loader and reinstalled.

[Q] Nexus boot shows up on XT912 razr

[p1-backstory][p2-problem][p3-symptoms][p4-cause][p5-question]
links have been removed due to forum restrictions, to see the post with links at:
connordoherty.blogspot.com/2013/03/xda-post-q-nexus-boot-shows-up-on-xt912.html
I recently got a secondhand Verizon Motorola Droid Razr XT912, intending to unlock it and use it with my t-mobile account. Coming from iPhone, I've never used android before so i took a few weeks to grow accustomed to the stock OS before rooting it. I learned it, and eventually, although it took several days, I also rooted it.
But today, when I attempt to boot the device, i see this glowing X logo, which my friend thinks might be the nexus logo (bootloader?), forever.
Never goes anywhere, just stays on X. I can only reboot it by holding power+volume down which makes it again boot to the X. I'm not sure if this is considered a boot loop - seeing as it doesn't actually loop, just hangs endlessly. It seems my only way of shutting the device off (power button does nothing) is to enter the boot selection menu (Vol up+down at startup) and choose the "AP fastboot" option and in that mode i can power down with a tap of the power button. all the other options bring me to the X, except recovery, an ill-android-logo-with-exclamation-point.
How did I get to this point? I tried to flash a ROM to replace the stock Motorola Android - trying first AOKP: First I backed up using myBackup, then I chose the link for "spyder" at the download list and followed a guide telling me to download this app and I did, but a different guide told me I would need CWM so i got that too. I didn't know how to add anything from within the app so i reboot to get too the boot menu, and chose the AOKP zip file - which worked for a bit but proceeded no further after "Booting...". I tried several times and messed around with the menu but I thought maybe I needed CWM so I chose that zip and it didn't work either.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? It sure seem like I bricked it. I discovered Recovery Mode has a hidden menu when you press the volume buttons, but choosing "install update from external storage (SD card)" then it fails as in valid for every zip I have tried. I thought maybe it needed to be signed or official so i downloaded what i found to be the stock update Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip and that was accepted but eventually failed as well. The factory reset option there does nothing. I tried using the Fastboot method as well but it never finishes without stopping, on 6/18 or 2/18 or anything for a different reason each time.
What haven't I tried?

[Q] Help! Android won't boot, stuck in recovery mode!

Thanks in advance for your help! So today I successfully rooted my Droid Razr M. I attempted to install the custom ROM Slim Bean. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that installation completed properly and when the phone tried to reset after the installation, the fastboot screen came on and it said "boot failure." I was able (by pressing the power, volume + and volume - buttons) to get to a screen where I got a few options, one of them being
"Recovery." I clicked on this, and the screen went to an android robot lying on its back with a red triangle above it and an explanation mark (I believe this might be Android attempting to enter recovery mode). However, the phone gets stuck in this screen and I get no where.
I'm afraid I might have bricked my Razr M. Any help on where to start would be much appreciated.

My RAZR XT910 got soft bricked I guess, any help?

Hello there. Since I'm new here I'd like to say hello to everyone
Today I got my RAZR and wanted to play with it. It was already rooted and it had a 4.1.2 android for it, but I didn't liked it at all so I tried to install MIUI. After creating a new partition (1) i had installed miui, but after reboot phone died - Motorola logo appears and it reboots. I looked for some info in the internet and I found about installing new, clean rom via fastboot. I downloaded SPDREM_U_01.6.7.2-180_SPU-19-TA-11.6_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRICSRTCEE_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot archive and tried to install it with Eternity Project, but after rebooting system does not start and android with red triangle appears.
Right now I am stuck and I don't know what to do. Could you guys tell me what should I do? The phone is RAZR XT910 from European distribution. Also, my Phone is being recognized as Spyder S.
Thank's in advance

When you see android with red triangle just press vol- and vol+ and find the option factory reset.
From your post I see that you flashed ICS Fastboot file, right?
Were you on ICS or JB before brick?

Well, as far as I remember it was JellyBean. I tried to flash it, but it didn't work at all. When I tried to flash the newest available soft for my RAZR it didn't want to flash (it was stopping at 1st step - when using RSD Lite, but when I used EPRJ flashing method, after reboot phone couldn't find any files copied to it's cache or something). Right now my battery is too low and I guess the only option is to make a factory cable, because it won't even charge.
And factory reset doesn't change anything: still the Motorola logo appears and then the phone turns off and sometimes reboots.
Is there any way I could install system via install update from sd card option? Or the only thing I can do is to try to install clean Android via RSD or EPRJ?

The only way is to flash it with RSD Lite.
Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231289 are all JB Fastboot files.

Okay. I downloaded the british retail soft, we'll see if it works. But will this soft have Polish language?
And the second thing: is there any way to charge the phone when in my situation? When I plug in the charger, white led only flashes for a while and then the bootloop starts - motorola logo appears and that is all. I have also tried the method with pressing vol + and - for 10 seconds and again, but this didn't work either. The only exit here is to make factory cable, right?

It worked, thank God. Thanks for the advice, next time I'll be more careful with my RAZR
Greets!
But another problem suddenly appears - my battery won't charge over 40%. Tried turning it off, but it didn't work.
Edit: I have had 50%, now I have 60. It looks like it's going up and changes after 10%. We'll see if it manage to charge up 100% battery.
Edit2: Okay, it fully charged. Thank's again mate for tips
