[Q] Sony Ericsson Xperia P - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hey xda community,
im kind of new to this forum and I do have a little question.
I've read articles about the Sony Ericsson Xperia P, that it isnt rootable if an android version like 4.1.x is used.
Well I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia P and wanted to root it with Bin4rys "Root Many Android" root tool.
I hope its enough information, because I do not really know what to post.
Model: LT22i
Android-Version: 4.1.2
Build-Number: 6.2.A.1.100
if more information is needed, please say it.
But my question is, can I root this device without having Soft or Hard- Bricks using Bin4rys tool? (Phew, I hope its the right word)
Regards

[Q] Xperia Go St27a Root

Hi, Im new on this forum, and this is my first android phone, so, i just came out from stoneage, I been using my xperia Go st27a ICS compilation 6.1.1.B.1.10, for over two months, and sometimes its pretty slow, and im sick of all the apps i cant delete, anyway I want to root my phone, but not complete sure of how so, I have been seeing tutorials all over google and youtube and I still have many doubts. and i dont want to **** my phone up
Is "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18.7z" safe to do on my Xperia Go St27a android 4.0.4 compilation 6.1.1.B.1.10?
I have already done my backups and the PC Companion already have the actual drivers, i think.
what I need to do now? does the "compilation" really matters? I only find tutorials for Xperia Go but compilation 6.1.1.B.1.54 ...
where are the steps i have to follow to root my phone? please.

[Q] what can I do with Xperia X10i

This is a general question to do with Xperia X10i. I understand XDA is for developers, and if so,should go to another site please tell me. I have a spare Xperia X10i and I would like to put something else on it and if I blow it up it doesn't matter. Where do people go with no experience if they want to change their phone and get some help in doing so. Be gentle with me if I should get off this site. Bob
We all have to start somewhere.
The XPERIA X10i is the best phone in the world to start out on when looking to modify it.
Unlike newer Sony XPERIA phones you can't really go wrong and you have all options open to you even if you unlock the bootloader at a later date.
I would first off look at your options to gain root access on your phone.
How to gain root access on your XPERIA X10i
With the XPERIA X10i your always have the fall-back of Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) and/or PC companion recovery should things end in tears.

That was the root kit I used on my 321 tab z. Don't forget to backup DRM key before unlock bootloader.

DooMLoRD's tool is for earlier firmware releases and will not work with Android 4.2.2. Use the Vroot tool instead. Search this forum for information about the Vroot tool.

Thanks Xperia Tablet Rooted:good:
firewall of china
I purchased an xperia tablet z and I've had a lot of fun with it. It has its issues. But what's bothering me most is that because I bought it in China, it does not have access to any of the google services. So, no PLAYSTORE. And I am not a techie either. I looked into what rooting is and what flashing is. I was wondering if I could somehow root the device and install a new firmware from some other country... (or maybe its a new kernel.. I don't know what the difference is!) would I be able to run Google services ??
I have seen some devices here in china that have access to google services. So I know that it is possible. Just don't know how. HELP! And ya, I tried downloading Vroot and it took me to a Chinese website! Root"dashi".... in Chinese. And I don't think rooting is sth I can figure out in Chinese language. Can I get a link for the English version of it?
Details on device:
Sony Xperia Tablet Z SGP111
Build number: 10.3.1.C.0.136
Android version: 4.2.2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-g7eaf37a-01078-g2ebac89.

You should be able to flash a firmware from a different region.. Also make sure the firmware you flash, matches your tablet specs for example if your tablet is wifi only, then pick a European wifi only firmware.. if it's a 4g model then pick 4g European firmware.. Good Luck...
Rooted and enjoying google services!
Thank you for replying to my post. I was able to root my SGP311 android 4.2.2 with Kingo Android root software. vRoot works too.
But after that it was quite complicated. hard time installing CWM recovery. Trial and error until i was finally able to flash the japanese firmware. it took me back to and 4.1 which was great because now i finally had the tablet UI and could access small apps like it was meant to.
Thankyou all developers at xda for making it possible.

it's not Sony Ericsson Z2, it's Sony Xperia Z2
what I know is that 4.4.4 is not rootable but there's some ftfs that are pre-rooted, so flash a pre-rooted ftf. or if you downgrade to 4.4.2 then you can root your phone yourself, but if you update to 4.4.4 then root will be lost
thank you for replying friend ..... I dont want to unlock bootloader . i thought we can root without unlocking bootloader ...
Sorry its sony xperia z2 my mistake ...
I did searched but i was not satisfied with the result as there are so many version i mean build number its so confusion
