It's called the station - Asus Padfone X and S

All I can think of when ASUS refers to it as a station:

TP HDMI-VGA Adapter?

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else...
Fortunately, Asus makes a micro-HDMI-to-VGA adapter cable for the TP:
http://www.asus.com/Peripherals_Accessories/Eee_Pad_Accessories/Micro_HDMI_to_VGA_cable/
So, is this *included* with the TP? I would hope so, but...
If it *isn't* included (!), where can it be purchased? I have seen no listings at all (yet) online anywhere.
As of right now they basically have no accessories for it out and no it is not included but I belive it is the same one as the Tf101 adapter...? Or the slider... Just search for eee pad hdmi-vga adapter

The only thing I have read so far is to be careful about purchasing the *wrong* adapter i.e. apparently the TF101 uses a 'mini-HDMI' port, whereas the TF201 uses a 'micro-HDMI' port.
Unfortunately, I seldom see companies supplying adaptors in the box with the device - they make more money selling it separately plus, this is a very uncommon cable. Vga is used much less often than hdmi...if ANYTHING maybe just a micro hdmi cable.

[Q] Dock Replacement

I'm in the UK and I dropped keyboard/dock.
It was charging at the time and landed directly on the connector, damaging both cable and the connector in the dock itself. The TF201 itself was not docked at the time.
I need to either get a replacement dock or a replacement pcb for the dock. Asus UK were not really helpful. They suggested I contacted AsusSpares.eu for a new pcb, who told me that they do not supply such items.
Does anyone know anywhere that can supply parts, or where I can get a complete replacement? It seems that the prime was only available in the UK with dock.

How generic are the Asus Padfone's connectors?

Sveiki everyone
Since the Asus Padfone's doesn't have it's own subforum i'll just post here in the generic section. Anyways, the Asus Padfone is a truly interesting concept and really seems like a quality product too. And I'm optimistic about Asus' update policy too, though one should always remain sceptical. I am considering getting the Asus Padfone as my first serious Android device (I've toyed with NITdroid and Android x86 on my EeePC 901).
The Padfone connects to the Pad station via USB and HDMI connectors. I would like to ask if anybody knows or could empirically tests how generic these interfaces are both on the phone and the tablet. F.ex. could I connect generic USB devices (keyboard, USB sticks etc) directly to the phone's USB port, could I connect a screen/monitor to the phone's HDMI output, could I connect the station to an HDMI output of a computer and use it as an external little screen, or could I connect the station to a computer via USB and it's touchscreen would work as an input device etc.
I don' know what's the method in Android to try these sorts of things (in generic GNU/Linux land we have lsusb), but if somebody could concretely tests these things and post them online I would really appreciate it and that would absolutely nail my decision about getting the device.
Also if somebody can explain the relationship of Mobile Hi-definition Link (MHL) in the Asus Padfone -product, that would be very nice. As far as I understand MHL can transport the video and audio too via the USB interface, so I do not know what the HDMI is really used for between the Padfone and it's Station.
Cheers!

Asus Vivo Tab RT 36-pin connector pinout.

Anyone know the Manufacture?
Been searching and searching and searching for the manufacture of the new Asus Vivo tab RT 36 pin connector. I see from other posts (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630300) that the manufacture of the Asus Transformer (TF101, 201, 700, etc) 40-pin connector has been identified as Tyco Electronics (TE Connectivity). I contacted Tyco (http://www.te.com) to inquire about this 36-pin connector. After forwarding the photos of the connector to an engineer, the sales person got back with me and informed me it was not a Tyco Connectivity product. I’m going to post pix of the connector, and the pinout that I have traced thus far, in case anyone else in working on the project.
Thanks

I am so glad that others have gotten some use out of that schematic. I have searched and searched, and finally, got a break on the manufacture of the 36 pin connection. I happened to glance at the connector on the USB charger cable, and saw some writing. “LOTES 1233”. So, I Googled it and sure enough Lotes Co. LTD. Showed up. See http://www.lotes.cc/ I have sent an email to both the Main office in main land China and to their South Korea representative, Semsus Electronic Co., Ltd. I received a reply from the South Korea representative, which forwarded the message to the main office. Since China is on Holiday, I don’t expect a prompt reply. Sadly, the South Korea representative did inform me that the company does not have a United States distributor.
Posted below are a few more pix. The stats of the connector are that it is 15mm x 2 mm, the 34 data pins are set on a 0.5mm pitch (0.5 mm center to center) and are 0.2 mm wide. The Two power pins are 0.5 mm wide, set at 1.0 mm from the interface card edge (PCB that the pins are soldered to, to provide a platform of connection. The interface PCB is 12.0 mm wide where it slides into the actual connector.
Note of the connections: Both sets of USB data carrying pairs (pins 27-28 and pins 29-30) are capable of connection of a USB device.
Would love to have other’s input on any experiments with the pinout of this connector. I have a feeling that a USB 3.0 capability and Audio OUT signal also will be found to be capable via this 36 pin connection. I’m currently working on constructing my own homemade docking station for my Vivo Tab. A rep at Asus says he doesn’t know of any plans for such a device from Asus for the Vivo Tab.
TF701 36 pin connector
Did you get any more information on the pin layout and connector?
We are searching for the same information, but for the 36 pin connector used on the TF701.
