[Q] AOKP and Radio FM - HTC Desire X

I recentlly intalled AOKP on my Desire X, and must say its amazing, but one think is bugging me - lack of radio app. Is there a way to put install that thing from outside source, or some workaround so I can use radio on my phone?

Looks great, but I only saw version that you need pay for, is there a free one, or this in only one avaible?

I dunno. I found it when I was looking for a radio app a long time ago. Ther was a review on some website along with a download link that I used.

I suppose, theres no way you could just send me .apk file is there?

Is there a CM6.x ROM?

To me a CM6.x ROM would be the best because it would combine hardware acceleration (froyo drivers) with ability perhaps to stream netflix (only possible on CM roms afaik).
Does one exist at all?
Or any Froyo ROM that can stream netflix?
I think so. There's a link to 6.1.0-beta4 here. I've never actually tried it, so I can't say anything about it, but there's the link to it.

Me too. Is there a particular kernal I can use for this ROM to really boost it even more?
Well I tried it & the home button won't work under this rom. I also didn't like the fact that there were no options for the status bar i.e tablet tweaks.
CM6 is Froyo-based, correct? If so, that is the best (only) option for HD considering it is the the sole Android version that has full hardware acceleration support.
Yeah but for some reason there is no CM6.x support, that one ROM isn't that great.
I would love any chef to cook up a good CM6 ROM that we can use.

[Q] ICS and Audiobooks app

Good morning all.
Can someone tell me if the app Audiobooks (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...yLDEsImNvbS5jcm9zc2ZvcndhcmQuYXVkaW9ib29rcyJd) will work with ICS ROM?
I am new to the Rezound and have not rooted/modded my phone yet. I have been a long time modder so I am sure I will figure that part out but I wanted to check to see if anyone has gotten that to work with a ICS version yet since I use it almost every day. And I dont want to flash the ICS firmware if that app doesnt work.
Thanks in advance.

Number one. Firmware doesn't matter. Flash. And yes just about anything works on it except a few games. And if it doesn't flash a gb rom with old fw patch.

Thanks I have tried that app on ICS on my incredible and it didnt work which makes me skeptical that it will work on ICS on the Rezound. As I said the firmware thing is a little new to, flashing on my last 3 phones seemed much more straight forward then on the Rezound.
Thanks again.

I use MortPlayer Audio Books and it works great on ICS.
Edit: I looked up that program and it is not just an audiobook reader. It actually downloads the books for you. I'm guessing from the Gutenberg project. I will install it let you know if it works.
Edit 2: Ok, the program doesn't work. It just force closes when you try to download a book. Looking at some reviews, it appears it is a common problem. I'm guessing the developer hasn't gotten all the bugs out yet.
But hey. Flash latest ruu and install gb and patch. Good to go.

I found out that the program downloads from LibriVox. There is an alternative program called LibriVox Audiobooks which I tried and worked. Not as slick as the other one but at least it works.

Beats Audio Mod.

Anyone with some knowledge of our stock rom know if this would cause problems on our device?

I thought Beats now works on all players. I know the ones I have used it works on them. I know it works in Play Music and 3 by FILIPE ABRANTES. Have you found one it doesn't work on?
You Sir, are absolutely right. I was going under the assumption that it didn't work outside of the standard player so I never bothered to download my favorite player. I'm just going off the old info from back when the Rezound first came out. Apologies all...ignore this thread

google now

so i've been trying to get google now on ICS, and there's a TON of mods out there that supposedly work for ICS...ive flashed a couple and they don't seem to be working, so i've been reverting back to regular google search...
if anyone else attempts this and gets it working, or knows of a mod that would work on our phone, i would appreciate it
for now I will keep looking into the thousands of pages of xda threads about this lol
well I guess no one else cares or thinks google now is cool but if anyone wants it I flashed this zip and it seems to work just fine

I got it from this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224
everything seems to be working perfectly for me, except I don't think it's the latest version of google now

Google Now is probably one of the singular reasons I want Jellybean. I loved it when I tried it on a ROM on my original Incredible. I'll be trying that out soon.

Can someone try to set up the sports card I tried but with no success
Same here, I will flash and let you know how it goes, I'm running viper with the older boot_image by the way in case it matters.
Edit: I'll try setting up the sports card too.

cool - thanks!
No problem. So I just flashed it and its working fine so far, I've never used it before so I'm still playing around with it but what problems were you having with the sports cards? Oh and good find somerandomname1 I've been trying to find one that works!

When you go into setting to set up the cards and click sports it shows edit team but its greyed out and not able to be clicked on
yea sorry, like I said, this isn't the newest version...apparently all the developers stopped developing this for ICS, and you need to newest version to edit the teams I think
My teams are there though since I use this on my Nexus 7 and it's all synced to my google account lol

I'm on venom right now and it has the option of waking with the volume keys
bah...I've actually never flashed a rom before on any phone. I usually like stock for the most part...there's just usually a few things I want to tweak with mods or apps
the 3-button re-map mod alone has made this phone so much better lol
but it seems I can't find a way to wake w/ volume on this

LG Quick Remote for 5.0 AOSP?

I'm running CM12 (Lollipop 5.0/AOSP). Is there a Quick Remote that works for this yet? I tried the extracted 4.4 pack from this thread:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g3/439476-can-someone-package-quick-remote-apk-me.html
But when I run it, it crashes. Known issue? Wait for the OTA before it will work? Any thoughts would be great!

Most likely won't ever work with an AOSP ROM. Those features, like porting the LG camera (heads above any AOSP/CM/other camera), are specific to stock ROM. I imagine an IR blaster would be along those same lines. Would be pleasantly surprised if an AOSP remote app would ever work with our LG G3.
It's not specific to CM12, it's specific to all non-stock ROMs. With the whole Bump! drama, and CM11/CM12 being pulled, I'm betting the ROM never gets updated again, let alone an IR blaster or BT working.

They did it on the g2. So try imagining harder. And cm12 got updated 11/25 fyi
Try one from the market. Wavespark makes a good IR app. On my m7 I had to DL an app to replace the HTC one. The one I downloaded was better than HTC. HTC one was quick and easy, but market one allowed way more customization.

Hey mate! I had looked for some remote apps and wasn't able to find anything but didn't think to search for "IR" remotes. I tried the WaveSpark offerings and sadly they crash on the G3/CM12 combo. I'll keep looking and see if I find one that's compatible and functional.
Stay tuned for results

Wow, look at that, I was wrong. What exactly was updated on CM12? An incremental update wasn't what I meant. As for the G2, I don't know anything about that, I've never had an LG. I was wrong apparently. I did research, and tried a bunch of apps when I was on CM, none of them worked and all the threads I read said it was similar to the Stock vs. AOSP camera issue. I was wrong, sorry for speaking out of turn.
Hopefully you find a working app.
