I have a Bell Samsung Note i717m I've rooted and want to put CyangenMod 10 on it. From what I've read the phone its the same as the AT&T i717 Note what I've noticed is that the CPU on the AT&T Note is a Cortex A8 and when I've run two different hardware id apps and they both say that I have a ARM7v2 CPU. What I've found out is that they are both RISC Processors but what I'm unsure about is if CM 10 will brick my phone. Can anyone tell me if it will work?

ARM7v2 is the just the instruction set. Even the Snapdragon S4 would be using that.
All the 717 Notes are using the Snapdragon S3 which are decidely not the Cortex A8 so if that's a Bell Note (same as mine) then the info readout is just inaccurate.

I'm currently own a Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus (GT-S7580.
It has a dualcore 1,2GHz chip, 768MB RAM, Adreno 200 GPU with a 4inch screen, which is 480x800. The phone is loaded with Samsung's 4.2.2 official ROM (there is no custom ROM for the phone yet, anywhere)
I saw news about the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style, the one just got to the store 1 month ago. Its spec is the same as Trend Plus, same dualcore, same GPU, same screen size, except for the RAM. Ace Style's RAM is only 512MB. But, surprisingly, it runs on Samsung's 4.4 Android.
So, the question is, is it able to port that 4.4 from Ace Style to Trend Plus by any simple means?

Most of the changes in the neo compared to original I believe are under-the-hood changes.The neo is better in the sense that its CPU and GPU are newer, more powerful than the original and along with more RAM, you'd have a pretty powerful phone. The clock speed on the neo I think is actually 1.2ghz compared to the 1.4ghz on the original(shouldn't make too much of a difference). As far as I know the camera, screen and battery are all the same on both devices. Camera 8mp (don't think they changed the sensor), screen 720pHD super amoled on both and 2100mah battery on both too.
1. S3 neo is better spec wise.
2. Not sure I don't have a s3 neo but I guess performance "should" be better.
3. Processor is better - newer but has lower clock speed.
4.battery is good from what I've seen in reviews
5. Camera excellent during the day, okay at night
Jellybean is generally smooth, but better when you root and remove bloatware.
However, the s3 international has plenty more support on xda with many custom Roms/kernels than the neo does.
