i successfully installed cm9 on my lg my touch despite having the power button problems. my concern is, is there any way to make the phone faster? i changed the default launcher to apex and it became fast but sometimes its a bit laggy.. and also where can i access the recent (navigation bar) honestly this is the first time im using a phone that doesnt have a nav bar...thanks in advance for those who will help me
- it seems changing the rom fixes the power button issues as mine is now working properly

Hello,
I own an international SGS2. I'm new to custom ROMs and CM9 was the first one that I installed on my SGS2. It was a nightly build from 03.22.2012. It runs very smoothly, except for one detail: when I lock the screen, it takes like 3-4 seconds for it to wake up after I press a button. But while it is charging this doesnt happen; it responds immediately after I press a button. Any ideas on why this is happening and/or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
PS: Ive tried many things, like uninstalling apps, changing launchers, different wallpapers, a few lockscreens, different ways of screen locking (face unlock, none, slide, etc..) and it happens no matter what I do!
Does ttöhe lag present even when you lock your phone and then right after that unlock it again?
Sent from my sgs2 running cm9 using xda app
If I do it fast it doesnt present. But if I let like two srconds pass, then the lag presents.
Any ideas??
Anyone?? :/
it takes time to wake up from deep sleep
thats why cm9 has amazing battery life
Thanks for your reply.
So this happens to everyone with CM9?
I don't have it I'm on latest build and I have horrible battery life

Hi everyone!
Short question. I've got a galaxy s3, so far a great phone!
Vibrate and haptic feedback works when i press the back or menu button. But i cannot seem to get it to work when i touch the screen. i.e. touching an icon on the screen does not create the haptic feedback that i'm used to.
Is this a normal thing or an error/bug?
Uhm you can turn on this function
Yeah..you mean the haptic option under settings - sound?
It enables the haptic feedback for the back and menu button. But not the touches on the screen itself.
that function will be implemented into roms and anyways its not needed it just sucks battery
So, short answer is that it's not a default option on the galaxy?
It's been a long time since i've had a stock rom so i don't know any better

not on my original sgs wasnt a feature
Same Issue(Resolved)
Well i had the same issue and the solution was pretty simple for me. Turn off power saving mode.
same problem but nothing seems to work
ok I have the same problem; haptic feedback not working and neither is vibrating on notifications, some vibrations working. The problem showed up like 1 week ago, without having installed anything special that day (can't remember if I installed anything at all that day).
My device (sgs3 I9300) was when the problem appeared on Paranoid android 3+, now it's on some cyanogenmod 10.1 nightly build.
what i've tried: going through all the settings, sound manager, turning off all vibrations the rebooting then turning them all on then rebooting again, changing rom (incl. factory reset of course), reading all kinds of threads about such problems.
I was wondering if anyone else gets a very slight lag when pressing system buttons on TW ROMs. This is easily tested in the Settings app. Clicking any button seems to have a slight delay and the glow animation lags slightly as well. I also see it in some other apps. Is this simply a TouchWiz thing or is my performance a bit subpar? I have tried a couple different Perseus profiles and this seems to occur in all of them.
I know it's a minor issue, but I guess I'm a bit OCD when it comes to things like this .
So today I found out that my phone isn't running well.
I'm not expecting the Sony UI to be perfect, lag-proof and anything, but I think the problem hasn't gone out and there's something wrong.
My phone constantly stutters and you get a bit of lag whenever I swipe from left to right, in the app drawer, the notification menu and when I'm opening apps. I've set the animation speed to 0.5x and it still stutters, paired with bits of lag. I'm looking for the smooth and fluidic transitions and animations but I'm just not getting it.
This happens each time I put my phone to sleep and wake it up after. It isn't the screen wake up lagging, but the UI itself. The animations start to stutter and lag then.
The solutions I have made are; restarting the device, which can get annoying every now and then; and freeing up space, which worked once and the problem went back again.

Is there a solution to this? I have installed more than 80 apps and I think it's one of the contributions to the problem.
And to be honest I have some OCD and it quite annoys me.

Do a clean flash via Flashtool (wipe everything), try with latest Lollipop update. After that install your apps one by one and try to figure it out which one is cause of your problems. :good:
Hey guys, I stupidly updated my S4 to Lollipop and I've been having some pretty annoying problems.
-When I attempt to use the "Close All" button in the Task Manager(long home press):
-If running Nova Launcher - it freezes and goes to a black screen. Pressing home brings me back to the launcher and seems to fix it. I've also had it bring me back to TouchWiz, even though that isn't my default launcher.
-If running TouchWiz - Works fine.
-With both launchers, after clearing everything in the Task Manager list (manually, since close all barely works) and without opening anything else, if I reopen the Task Manager, there is always some random app running. Which is extremely confusing, since I just closed everything and nothing should be running.
I've also been having some other problems, such as my battery dying almost 5x faster than KitKat and my Mobile Data turning itself off randomly during the day. The switch in the notification panel shows that its on, and it even shows the correct amount of 4G bars, but if I try running an app that needs internet, it tells me that I don't have a connection. This is pretty annoying, mainly because there is no way for me to tell if it is working or not.
I have tried factory resets and clearing the system caches from recovery, neither worked. Really not sure what else to try, anyone have a solution? Really wished I stuck with KitKat, hopefully there will be a way to root sometime soon.
I noted the same conceren, close all will not return to Nova Launcher. Not a big deal to me.
The workaround I use is by removing each app individually by swiping or hitting the X in the right top of the displayed app.
Battery life has been good for me. I use Tasker to turn W-Fi/Data ON/OFF based on location and Screen ON/OFF.
That's what I have been doing but I was hoping that there was a solution. When everything is closed, does Task Manager also create random processes for you?
I shouldn't have to enable/disable data just to get the phone to keep a charge, especially since KitKat was so much better with battery. I left wifi/data one all the time and I still got better battery life than I do now.
Maybe Try this?!?
If you would like to try and go back to KitKat?!?!
TESTING Revert to KitKat on SCH-I545
That would be great, if I have the time I will try it. Has it been successful for anyone else but you?
