Hi guys,
I known, this tema is often in the discursions. But unfortunately I'm not found answer for my problem. I'm finding it since yesterday lunch...
I have Desire X, I take factory reset and start with root my phone.
1) I have latest drivers for HTC sync and latest google drivers for HTC (I download it via android SDK)
2) I have latest java 32b and 64b and I have android SDK
3) USB debug is on
4) I'm registrated in htcdev.com (I tried manual by them but with result "device not found")
5) I tried root phone via Desire_X_All-In-One_Kit and WinDroid Universal HTC Toolkit
6) I turn off fastboot in settings of my phone
7) I'm trying it on win8 64b
And still I have problem with "no device found"
In cmd if I run adb devices and I got response. If I try adb reboot-bootloader phone is reboot into the bootloader. In device manager before restart phone into the bootloader I see my phone. It's OK but after reboot into the boadloader my phone missing. I don't known if I'm stupid or what but in all tutorials in the internet is that after reboot phone into the bootloader the phone is still visible and I can run fastboot oem get_identifier_token . But for me it is not working. Where I'm doing mistake? Please help me. Thank you.
Edit: I bought my phone by T-mobile. Can be problem there? I mean any strange version of android by T-mobile? Can I reinstal OS for clear Android for htc desire x? thx

I am trying to use 'adb' from the android dev kit but I cannot see the devices, i.e. 'adb devices' doesn't report any devices. It appeared to be working earlier this evening but not any more. I was going to push a rom file to my rooted phone but obviously since I no longer see the device I am stuck. I rooted yesterday and installed the maximus rom but my phone went into a loop of restarting. Unfortunately I didn't backup before I rooted and installed Maximus rom.
Can anybody offer any help? I am using Mac OSX.
Desperate since phone is now effectively redundant

if it didnt help u just reply and we´re gonna look whats next to unbrick ur phone
Hi
Thanks for your reply, I have hit the 'Thanks' button
I read the posting you referenced but it doesn't really offer a solution to my problem.
As described earlier I rooted my phone and flashed a Rom (Maximus) succesfully but on turning the phone on after installing the new Rom I got into a cycle of the phone rebooting without actually getting past the lock screen. My thoughts at that stage were to re flash using stock rom but on running fastboot and plugging into my Mac OSX machine via USB, the phone doesn't show up in 'devices' on the Mac. I have also tried 'adb devices' form within Android Dev Tools and although 'adb' runs fine no device is reported. Of course without devices being avaialble to 'adb' then I cannot reflash!
I have also tried from within a bootcamp installation of 'Windows XP' installed on the mac with the same results, this with 'HTC Sync' installed and therefore providing the USB Drivers required within Windows.
I have tried logging into fastboot using 'power' and 'Down Volume' at various stages of the boot process on the phone but have never seen the phone within devices.
Clearly prior to installation of the Rom (Maximus) I could see devices at both the Finder window on the Mac and from adb devices.
Any help or insight you could provide would be very gratefully received
Ok ok ok dont worry
I had to read a bit and found quit much german threads where they flash back the stock rom
as is suggested u cant flash it with odin...
the only solution i woul suggest is that u have to find a computer running windows
there its very easy to restore the stock with the methods u described earlier in the thread...
hope u get done let me know what happend
=)
The question remains; how can I flash anything be it a hacked rom or an official rom when I cant see the 'device' in both windows and mac osx?
I think what I am looking for is a reason why the phone isn't seen when plugging in via USB. Once it is seen as a 'device' I will be able to flash anything via 'adb'.
Thank you for your continued interest and assistance
ok so u know how the get it back but ur phone is not really recognized by ur computer
but i found a method using the bootloader
the problem is that the instructions are in german
but i think if u google a bit u may find it
Don't know if I misunderstood what you said..but to get into recovery, you hold volume down and the power button when the phone is turned off. Not during the boot process.
Yes you can do it with bootloader (power+volume down)

Yes, I know that. He said he attempted to do that DURING the boot process. I was stating that he had to do it while the phone was powered down.
Guys, I can get into recovery no problem. The issue is that my phone doesn't show up in devices on the mac finder window and hence when I run 'ADB Devices' from the mac when the phone is plugged into the mac with USB no device is found and so no serial number is reported in my terminal window on the mac. If I can get to see the device with 'ADB' I can push the rom and recover the phone. At the moment the phone is bricked.
Thanks guys for your continued assistance.

Very glad we decided to not release the initial root, sorry
If IOMonster wants to explain he can, I would prefer not to however.

7-Now open your command line and navigate it to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools” folder
Run the following command
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
When the bootloader screen shows up on your phone then wait a few seconds to make sure your phone is recognized by the computer then run the following command
Code:
fastboot boot prestoroot.img
After phone reboots itself, shut the phone down and turn it back on again.
Then run the following command
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
When the bootloader screen shows up again then type the following commands
Code:
fastboot flash recovery cwm-5.0.2.7-presto.img
fastboot reboot
8-When the phone boots up this time, download the play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.noshufou.android.su superuser app[/URL] from Google Play

FYI,
I've tried uot.dakra.lt UOT Kitchen couple times so far and have been ale to change the font of the device and the color of the glow for overscrolling but my time and other icons up in the status bar disappeared (the "AT&T" still shows up there though). The Backup and Restore in CWM does work nicely though to get me back to before I installed the zip from UOT Kitchen. I'll try 1 mod at a time using UOT kitchen and see which is making the icons and time disappear from my status bar.
EDIT: I did notice one issue with CWM backups. The backup I did today saved the folder name as "1970-02-22.03.14.56". Some reason the date is wrong in the file naming, should have started with "2012-04-13", right?

For those having trouble with a missing driver I followed the below instructions and installed PDAnet (I did so while in fastboot mode so I could see the drivers install) as soon as it installed and the drivers showed installed. I went back and uninstalled pdanet (leaving the needed drivers behind)

I solved my problem by referencing to part II of the following page:

Be sure to download two programs PDANet and USBView (which you may not really need but it's a nice little program).
It's suppose to be "stupid easy" to root PANETCH Burst, but who ever said that left out that it's not so easy if you don't have all the proper driver on your computer. Anyway, so soon after the fastboot mode is brought up, you should notice the computer is telling you a new hardware is found. This is when the burst switches from PANTECH's ADB driver to something else, and only way for the command "fastboot boot prestoroot.img" to work is to find the proper driver for the new hardware call "Android" in the device manager. Now you want to install PDANet, and as soon as the installation process begin, it'll find the driver for the device "Android." and install the driver for you. Once the driver is installed, the installation process will tried to install whole bunch other things into your phone, but I really don't think it can install them in fastboot mode, so you'll probably want to terminate the process. Now type command "fastboot devices" and you should see some kind of output telling you that it's recognize the "Android" device. Now, and only now you can follow the rest of "stupid easy" rooting instruction.

Is there a Mac version of any of this software. I understand all of this started on a PC but does that mean Mac users are forever out in the cold ? I own a Pantech Burst and a MacBook Air. I don't have access to a PC nor will I in the future, in so far as being able to use any of the software referenced here.
Any suggestions?

they were asking if any of the software we are using would work on a mac. the answer is yes depending on what software you are refering too. the pantech suite (which has been useless to me with the exception it installed the drivers for me) is windows only. I had actually gotten the drivers originally at work by using pda net. The information I gave above is what I came up with after a quick google search. I'm not sure if that or pdanet for mac would have those drivers.
and again this thread has ended. please follow the links in my Signature (Burst love for discussion or burst essentials for rooting information

Hi everyone,
So I bought my friends HTC ONE X PLUS off him even though he had boot loop following a botched Custom ROM installation.
Stupidly I thought I could fix it.
It is an international device locked to O2. It loops at the HTC logo and allows boot into bootloader and CWM. The problem I have is that the PC doesnt even recognise it as a USB MASS (even after downloading the latest drivers - several times ) CWM wont even mount the storage.
Ive tried sideloading and everything else but no joy. The RUU I need to flash back to stock isnt out yet ? 1.17.206.1 and I cant ( as mentioned ) just dump an img/zip into the root as I cant get access to the storage. Its shows on the PC as removable storage but when I click it it asks me to insert a disk.
When I adb device/fastboot device it gives a number and says fastboot. ADB shows nothing in list of attached devices.
Any suggestions? If anyone in the UK would be happy for me to post it to them so they can have a go Id be happy to fund a beer or 2 in return
Thanks all.

The reason why the phone does not boot up anymore is that you friend probably forgot to flash the proper kernel/boot.img for the rom he installed. The kernal can't be flashed in recovery because the phone is still S-ON. In the HTC One X+ General forum you will find two tutorials with everything you need to know about unlocking/rooting/flashing using this phone. If you read both of them carefully, you should be able to solve your problem. Don't forget to press Thanks for the two guys who made these guides!!!
Also here you should be able to find the correct RUU for your CID. But since it needs relocked bootloader, you probably will have to read the to guides anyway and it is probably much easier to stay with unlocked bootloader and do the right flashing procedure.
Hi,
Im trying to unlock the bootloader in my HTC Desire X, I have been following the instructions from the HTC Dev website but get stuck at step 8.
The prompt hangs on "Waiting for device".
I have fastboot setup on the bootloader and have downloaded the sdk and put the files in the appropriate folders.
Could someone help me please.

Thank you very much
Hi everybody - any help with the following problem is appreciated, I've thrown everything I can find at it but I'm just over my head at this point!
My LG G watch worked great, up until one morning when it got stuck in a bootloop - if I had to guess, the battery must have run out at the exact wrong time, during an OTA update. Maybe. Anyway, stuck in a bootloop.
I managed to install TWRP bootloader, and apparently uninstalled everything but the TWRP bootloader, as it now has the 'no OS installed!' dialogue whenever I try to exit.
I had minimal success installing ADP drivers, but never managed to make a PC/watch connection past fastboot OEM unlock. At the moment (a few months after i had that working) my PC doesn't recognise the watch at all.
So I've bought an OTG cable, and the plan is to put a flashable ROM (hey, even the stock one if I can find it) on a USB stick, navigate to it on TWRP via install, and take it from there. Anyone know if that's what I should be trying / where I can find that particular ZIP file?
Also worth noting, I never toggled on ADP debugging when the original OS was working.
Here's the info from the fastboot screen- ANY help is appreciated!
